I love the way you have such passion in your reviews. I concur with you that Cuir de Russia is “quiet elegance”… perfect description. This is what luxury is.
Pam for the sake of being objective, you forgot to mention that Roja Dove Great Britain is basically a copy of Chanel Cuir De Russie which was released in 1924 😉
So difficult to describe such elegant and uniquely blended scents. Russian leathers still my favourite because of that birch. Love the addition of violet too like in Le Jardin Retrouve's version. Timeless genre. 💚🤎 Hope the allergies let up Pam! Shame not to be able to experience the fullness of each perfume.
Oh man. Since I recorded this video I’ve actually been super sick with allergies and cold. I just started getting better. Hopefully I can record something good soon. Thanks so much for your continued support. 😊
Great Britain and Cuir de Russie are also my favorite leathers. My two other favorites are from Hermes: Cuir D'Ange and Galop. My ranking would be: (1) Great Britain (2) Cuir D'Ange (3) Cuir de Russie (4) Galop
Funny thing is i get more "leather" from Le Lion than l then i do from CDR. I know it's the labdanum that is acting like a leather combined with the patchouli. I love Le Lion so much i had to get a back up bottle before it's reformulated
Oh thanks for reminding me to get a backup bottle. I have a 75 ml and I need to get the 200. Maybe two of them for fear of reformulations. I friggin looove Le Lion!
I feel like it has already been reformulated. I had one of the first batches 5001 and when I compared it to 7001, now it is way more smokier in the midnote rather than myrrh. Before it had a very elegant myrrh but now it just smells like pure smoke. Nonetheless a beautiful perfume. Btw Chanel's les extraits are getting discontinued, if you get a chance smell Cuir de Russie extrait which is a beutiful experience, leaning more with tobacco.
