Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra and the MSJO Trainees Jeffrey Solares, conductor Beny Castillon's "Kruhay" upgraded with bells :-) July 27, 2019 Youngsan Art Hall, Seoul, Korea
I just don't understand that the Philippine movie industry is not tapping to the greatness of their native sounds, like this one, this could be one majestic movie soundtrack!
too lazy to research about their own country I bet they spend most time trying to review movies from foreign countries and follow the same formula over and over again.
Kruhay went from 10 to a 1000000x . This is just so extravagant! I mean, singing this is such a wow. But hearing it from an orchestral point of view is just BRAVISSIMO! EXTRAORDINARY! As the song says, KRUHAY!!!
Im hoping Manila. SYMPHONY CAN MOUNT A VIRTUAL CONCERT OF great Filipino compositions so that all of the world can see and hear beautiful Filipino symphony music
Not a battle cry sorry, according to tale, before our Panay ancestors landed on the island they were ESCAPING from a conquered kingdom of Panai (in Indonesia). It's the great Exodus of the peoples of Panay island.
@@totoji exodus for 10 bornean datus in 12th cemtury they left borneo cuz of oppressive leader and landed in panay..the cradle of phil civilization is in one of the barangay in antique the first barangay or village was put up.
I'm in awe. I never thought that our Philippine song will be this great if performed in an orchestra. The person who arranged this song is truly amazing! Just WOW! Hope we can see more of our native songs to be performed like this amazing performance.
the name of this song is “'Kruhay' means 'long-lived,' in Kinaray-a, a language native to Panay Island and in the central Philippines. “The song is based on a folk-tale. It narrates the arrival of 10 Bornean datus exiled by their ruler, Sultan Makatunaw. you can watch here in UA-cam the Philippine Madrigal singers sang the "Kruhay".
This made me cry. The choral arrangement of this Kruhay is special to my heart but hearing it played like this is a whole new level! I'm simply in awe. ❤️
Goosebumps... My nativeland from Antique Philippines, this is where the song originated.... I felt so emotional how this composition of the song was so great and excellent in symphony orchestra... How I wish my grandparents still alive coz they sang this song... Thanx Korea.

I also wonder about that.
Same sentiment 😿
Halos pare pareho lang kasi plot twist ng movies naten ahahaha

Kruhay..
Yes, it is a story of long ago - the Barter of Panay, no less! It's a welcome song for the Bornean "intruders."

Wow! Fantastic. It's more like John Williams' music. I had an imagination like this musical piece being played by one of Spielberg's film.
Wow! Kruhay in orchestra.
this song is about the katutubo of Panay island in Philippines where they bargain golds to traders, like golden salakot
Kainlove lalo to. 😍😍😍
Fabulous! Fantastic! I can feel the soul in the music! Great arrangement!
I opt for no bass in the opening. Still, great masterpiece
