People create a lot of hype over coaching centres but when it comes to CAT, you don't really need it. All you need is a bit of practice and there is plenty of free materials to go around. Definitely something that must reach people who see MBA as something only for those with means. Definitely not the case
MBA is an expensive affair when it comes to the Fee Structure, but considering that banks do offer loans, Ppl with lesser privilege can also aspire. Even after working for a few years and saving money one can take the course. Throwing light on these aspects is the intent of the video.

Great video! hats off for the effort. But one ques: I have 6 years of exp in IT. Is it good to do a General MBA or Executive MBA? Also, are online MBA's worth pursuing?
1) IT is a wide field, what level/ designation you are in, I am not sure. If you already in a role taking more than 10LPA will advise not to do regular MBA in any college less than IIM/XLRI/FMS or equivalent
2) Executive MBA full time is a good option, again consider best institutions if you are already in high pay bracket, if not then some place like greatlakes (full time though) also helps .
3) online/distance degree is worth only as a degree/ certification. It will be useful if your organization has policies for promotion and MBA is being done only for that

Its a Niche stream to specialize. Any reason why you are specifically inclined to this stream ?
Specializing in Operations will usually cover this as well. However iims do have have electives and research specific to this stream. Try to connect with existing recent passout in respective field from larger companies to get an idea

Amazon, DHL, Asian paints etc

now am preparing for cat through online (unacademy).. but i dont find it efficient becuz am mastered only in english and tamil, but in the particular coaching the label is given as english but they completely teach in hindi..i could do nothing out of that..so pls tell abishek brother to start an youtube channel or else telll him to take any coaching classes.. and in south india most of the prople are unaware about cat exam..so pls mr.balaganesh anna think about this and refer this comment to him.. am totally helpless regarding cat.. also a very big thank u for this wonderful video
Hi Krithi, I will certainly pass over this message to Abhishek and recommend him to try something on this lines if he finds time. However Coaching is a huge effort, more effort than preparing for oneself in my opinion, given that both of us (Myself and Abhishek) are in different full time professions not sure how feasible it will be to start coaching, I am speaking for myself here. Having said that there are certain self preparation tips that were discussed in the video, do try those. This initiative itself was with a service motive, to give the basic exposure of various career streams since I have friends from numerous streams, I am glad it was helpful for you. Its a complicated question actually, to give a general answer if someone is 30+ they may not considered for placements by all companies, but there will be companies who will consider the work experience, there will also be companies who value the past work experience. An Idea on how you can approach this is, choose colleges you are planning to join and check on what are the companies that visited their campus in the past (only an indicator, but not guarantee they will visit in future). If there are many companies where your role is available (role post completion of your course) it should be easier to get placed.
I’m fresher after finishing mechanical engineering i have work experience upto 10 months. I would like to do MBA. I’m not clear about which stream i need to choose so as he said i can explore generic MBA. But if i get into General management side after placement what kind of exposure do we have?
There are multiple general management roles. If you are clear of doing MBA you ll ve time to explore stream and enough time to get exposure of each of the steam while at MBA
Generally specialization happens only after 1year so you have a full years of course under peers and faculty guidance to decide

MBA is a postgraduate program, so some undergraduate course is a must. It need not be engineering as a mandate. 4 year course is not a mandate 3 year courses will be eligible

Good to know of the never give up attitude ma. There is no educational qualification needed to do business. However if you are interested doing some professional course before you venture into business, MBA in a good college will help give you an over all understanding of various business functions like finance, marketing, hr etc.

Hi, In my opinion, its an extremely niche segment, there would be less fluidity if one wants to shift stream, as against other streams. However if you are passionate do explore, both Abhishek and I are not experts to answer this. Do try exploring for relevant ppl in PagalGuy and LinkedIn. Not necessarily as long as you are able show case necessary skills placements should be possible. Few companies may have specific requirements but that's just *few*

For all good colleges fees will be high only ma. In chennai LIBA, IFMR Grate lakes are good colleges but they charge high fee too. If finance is an issue I will suggest work for few years, save money and try taking the course. If possible you can try loan too.
Of all top colleges FMS has a low fee structure its in delhi you can explore it

Yes, it is possible, there are various factors that influence including your cut off and what diversity you would bring in to the batch. But I did know people who had got calls with such scores in school and college. Top IIMs could be bit more difficult.

Hi, there is no hard and fast age rule. However considering your age and number of years of experience I would suggest, explore executive mba in full time.

For full time MBA, from the time you start prep to finishing your course, u ll be 34 most probably, you ll be one of the oldest person of your batch. These days companies try to keep the average age of the organization low. That way placements can be difficult ( again i dont know, of the type of role you are in right now, if its already managerial, then may be it could be a different scenario)

RBI, Civil service n all ppl write even after MBA and crack.
But depends on why one wants to write. If its to serve the country, being at a top Bschool will help with extra exposure towards that.
If its only to be in a govt job, then its better that one attempts that in parallel or before mba because. Spending money and doing mba and then going to govt jobs does not make sense.
Naturally students from top colleges in private will end up earning atleast 5-6 times (in their career) more than govt counterparts. Lanjam vangama straightforward uh iruntha the earning potential is low.

Hi , I am new to distance education, I need to apply for MBA.. can any tell me is it mandatory to attend classes in person on weekends or I can prepare online and offline with materials alone?.. I am working outside tamilnadu and can't attend classes in person. Will there be any issue if I don't attend classes in person? Any problem on attending semesters, getting degree?
what is the reason you want to do MBA in distance education ? if its a degree that is all that you are looking for, yes there are long distance courses that does not require your periodical physicals presence google about it. But distance MBAs dont add much value

Right, in that case do explore with good colleges such that there is knowledge gain you are looking for. With online learning platforms many good colleges including IIM are offering such courses, more so after covid

MBA in IIMs and other top colleges are best. PSG will be a very Okayish choice.
I finished 10th and studing polytechnic 2nd year after finishing i planed to do mba ,what is ur opinion which is best BE AND ME or MBA
After completing diploma without doing some undergraduate course you cannot take MBA, considering you already have hands-on training in diploma, I will suggest to do BE and then decide end of BE course basis what interests you by then.
This is only a suggestion you will always be the best judge to take this decision

Full time in these colleges are ok, but very basic.
In the same respective colleges a UG, BE graduate (who were sincere in their course and sat for placements) will get better package than the respective college MBA, however it will still be better than doing in correspondence. Simple terms la sonna don't aspire for it. Even if one does not get IIMs tier 2 colleges are still better than the ones you mentioned.
Examples of tier two colleges, BIM, LIBA, IFMR, IIM trichy, in tamil nadu, similarly there ll be many across India which agree cat score.
Next tier in TN would be this VIT, PSG, Amirta etc. Wont say aim or prepare for them. If you aim IIM and prep well worst case tier 2 land pannidlam

Yes CAT is an entrance exam and not a scholarship exam. Fee will have to be paid and it will be in lakhs. But top colleges la padicha kandipa placements will return that investment.

Aim for colleges which are good in HR like XLRI, TISS etc. You will still be eligible as long as you clear entrance exam, group discussions and personal interviews
