Few years ago my youth team was very angry, and we fought in like 50% of the game of the season. The coach did never say anything, and players were just punished separatly by federation. At one game, it was terrible, and the ref exclude the entirety of our first line, 1 guy of the second line, and all the adversary first line, with the GK. We finished the game at only 2 lines, against a team composed of 10 players without GK (their second GK was injured). The coach said nothing, just "Good Game" because we won.
Just happened at one of mine as well. Parents screaming about a big hit. Kids on both teams cheering super loud for one guy doing push-ups on the ice seemed to solve it though.
Hmmm, in France, even for minor hockey, we learn in our formation that 1v1 fight is tolerated. This rule is never applicated, but it should be more for one rease : Stopping a fight is useless. When we are two refs againt 5 players of two different teams, we cannot be at the center of each confrontation. For this reason, we must just control the situation by placing ourselves between other players and fight to stop any player who wants to join it. Once situation is controlled, we can put ourself in center of the fight, not before.
I can’t tell if number 4 (first clip he pushed the goalie) just wanted to see some chaos or if he retaliated from something the goalie said. Regardless he only started it with a shove and backed away to blend with the crowd as if he didn’t, and the person who recorded must’ve spoke out with video evidence because it wasn’t called for and shouldn’t have been worth it in the first place. There was also a second player who reacted at the same time and was the only noticeable injury from the altercation, so who knows maybe the goalie probably did say something to agitate them
@master_Shark981 i will not disagree. There is a lot of unnecessary yelling and screaming from parents. Not to mention the verbal and physical altercations in the stands. It is ridiculous how some parents act in youth sports. Luckily, those types of parents are not the majority. Most parents understand it's a youth sport and act appropriately.
You already know those kids got a serious talk in the locker room😂😂😂

The kid that rallied the crowd before skating off the ice got me laughing so hard
Parents in the background screaming is crazy. This happened in one of my tournaments
There is nothing more annoying while watching youth sports.

I love how ice hockey has 10% to always evolve into a ufc fight xD, makes it all more so worth it
Refs gotta do more to ensure safety. As officials, it’s our job to make sure that this doesn’t happen, and when it does, to stop it effectively.
Lol okay good luck with that😂
