Beautiful PINK SAND BEACH | KOMODO National Park | FLORES | INDONESIA

Out of 17,508 islands in Indonesia, it's difficult to choose which one to visit first. Other than Bali, which is certainly the most famous and most visited, one real gem that I think people often overlook is Komodo National Park, located just an hour’s flight from Bali. This national park is one of the 7 wonders of nature and contains 29 islands. What is certainly best known about this park are the Komodo dragons - the largest species of lizard for which this is the only place in the world where they live in the wild. They live on only 4 out of these 29 islands, so no worries, in other places you can walk freely and without a guide.
Pink sand beach is one of the few in the world and is part of Komodo National Park. This is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches I have visited, and the fact that it is not crowded with tourists makes it even more beautiful and more special.
Why is the sand pink?
-Sand gets color from microscopic animals called Foraminifera. They usually produce red pigment on coral reefs, and when small parts of these corals are mixed with white sand, this beautiful pink sand is formed, which is most visible next to the water. If you pay attention in the video, you will notice that the intensity of the color also depends a lot on how sunny it is at that moment and from which side you are looking. Usually if you google for pictures of this beach, you will see something that is too photoshopped, where the color is extremely intense and almost flashy pink, but that is not the case in reality.

Od 17,508 ostrva koliko se nalazi u Indoneziji, tesko je izabrati koje prvo posetiti. Pored Balija koje je svakako najpoznatije i najposecenije, jedan pravi dragulj koji mislim da ljudi cesto izostave jeste Komodo nacionalni park, koji se nalazi na samo sat vremena leta od Balija. Ovaj nacionalni park je jedno od 7 svetskih cuda prirode i u svom sklopu sadrzi 29 ostrva. Ono sto je svakako najpoznatije vezano za ovaj park jesu Komodo zmajevi- najveca vrsta gustera kojima je ovo jedino mesto na svetu gde zive na slobodi. Oni zive na samo 4 od ovih 29 ostrva, tako da bez brige, na ostalim mestima se mozete slobodno setati i bez vodica.
Pink sand beach iliti plaza sa roze peskom je jedna od nekoliko na svetu i nalazi se u sklopu Komodo nacionalnog parka. Ovo je definitivno jedna od najlepsih plaza koje sam posetila, a cinjenica da nije pretrpana turistima je cini jos lepsom i vise posebnom.
Zasto je pesak roze boje?
-Pesak dobija boju od mikroskopskih zivotinja koje se zovu Foraminifera. One inace proizvode crveni pigment na koralnim grebenima, a kada se sitni delovi tih korala pomesaju sa belim peskom nastane ovaj prelepi pesak roze boje koji je najvise vidljiv pored same vode. Ako obratite paznju u videu, primeticete da intenzitet boje isto dosta zavisi i od toga koliko je suncano u tom momentu i sa koje strane se gleda. Obicno ako trazite na google slike ove plaze, videcete nesto sto je previse izfotosopirano, gde je boja izuzetno intenzivna i skoro drecavo roze, ali to nije tako u stvarnosti.
