I love how knowledgeable Nash is. The skunks are so cute. Had some under my back porch in PA. Oh do they stink. Ammonia on a rag got them out real quick. Fynn is quite the helper. Good job with the skunks Nash and Fynn. Our trail camera shows skunks with many different color patterns. Not just your normal Pepe Le Pew. 🤣 Stay safe with all these crazy storms. We had a pet skunk when I was a kid. Her name was Aroma. My dad rescued her from a research lab. They had removed her stink gland. And could never return to the wild. She still had that skunk smell, faintly, but it was there. She was sweet. But they're not good pets because they're nocturnal. You can't change that.
We had her until she passed away. Sadly she never got to live a normal skunks life but she was rescued from having test run on her all her life.
That’s still a much better life! Glad you saved her, love that name too!

The baby skunks are so cute and what unique colors they are! My daughter works at a Christian camp in southern NH and has been seeing a black squirrel there. My husband also saw it when he stopped in to visit her recently. The goats are a riot going up and down those stairs! 😅. Praying for your family and your UA-cam channel!
That’s so neat! We were in an Arkansas town recently that is known for the Black Squirrel-but we didn’t see any! 😆👍🏽

Skunks are adorable! Last year we got one that started coming around but haven’t seen it for a while. My mom had a pet skunk growing up. Her dad accidentally ran over a nest of them with the plow one spring and there was only one survivor so he brought it home and they had scent sack removed, she said it was a great pet.
I’m so glad that tree didn’t end up with a fire smoldering inside it and your vehicles are all ok.
I’m glad you were able to buy some new cages that will make it easier and safer to care for the animals.

I have two of those! A large one and a medium one. My Great Dane is in the large one and the medium one is empty right now. Ahh so cute, I think you should get a bottle that has a nipple , you can get them at the vet or any pet store.
We had an albino skunk here at the cabin for several years. Really pretty! Your love for animals is wonderful to see.
I have a saggestion instead of buying puppy pads use adult incontinency pads they are disposable to plus they are larger than the large puppy pads , you get more pads for less money,,,i hope this saggestion helps ,,i descovered this when my moma dog had 8 wonderful puppies ,,have a blessed day & thank you for all you do & for sharing some of it & your family with us ❤😊

My friend used to do the same thing that you do with the injured or orphaned. They kept the skunk for a while and it was descents. I would lol as this kid would walk around the fair carring her skunk. Then my son got to walk around with a big snake that belonged to her cousin. They would terrify the crap out of ppl.😂

Please turn the tap off when not actually using the water. You had the water running for fully 10 mins whilst doing other things.
Firstly) the video is 24 minutes, 28 seconds…there’s no way you saw Nash caring for the skunk kits 10 minutes
Secondly) the video is edited(by whom I do not know), so you can’t really state you know how long Nash cared for the kits in its entirety.
We do try to be wise with water. The kids have a “system” and there are reasons for what they do, but I’ll mention your concern to them.
Baby skunks can emit musk when they are eight days old, but they can't spray accurately until they are about four months old. When they are younger, their spray is just a dribble.
Skunks can spray five or six times before needing to refill their glands, which takes about 8 to 10 days. Adult skunks can spray accurately within 10 feet, but the spray can go up to 20 feet with the help of wind. The spray can be smelled from at least a mile and a half away.
Before spraying, skunks usually give a lot of warning. They will raise and shake their tail, stamp their feet, and turn their head and rear end toward the target in a "U" shape.
If you find a baby skunk by itself, you should leave it out overnight to see if its mother comes back. Skunks are nocturnal and are most likely to come looking for their babies at night. You should keep the baby warm, but don't give it anything to eat or drink.
