For sure. Very happy to see businesses like this opening up and getting motivated people who know their stuff explaining the differences to combustion vehicles.
@@plugandplayEV I just bought one in Chicago, GO EVs Cars. Aside from selling EVs, they are the usual BS scam dealership you'll encounter. I'm almost 100% certain all the reviews for them are fake.
At some point I will follow Steve's path and move from Bolt to one of the newer (but still used) 800 volt Hyundai / Kia prodcuts. Difference being I (and the bank) own the Bolt so it would not be as simple as ending one lease and starting another. I suspect my next car rolled off the line sometime last year and someone else is driving it for the next couple of years until I am ready.
Awesome! Didn't we get a Federal incentive for used EVs? Wasn't mentioned so maybe we didn't. Anyway, my point is since there is no worry about whether one can get a State or Federal Tax break, I could get a used ev from GreenWave even though I live in New York, correct? I know there are sales tax rules involved. Thinking of making our second car an EV after a lease ends.
We did! $4,000 off anything priced under $25K, so we're only really talking Bolt, LEAF, and some of the older EV models at this point, but it makes some of them a really good deal for those who qualify. We saved the section of our chat on the used credit for a deeper dive, so there will be another video coming soon!
And yes, buying out of state complicates things a little but the dealership will understand the process. I've seen plenty of Ioniq 5 owners flying to the east coast and road tripping their new car back because the dealer markups in the west last year were so obnoxious.
@@plugandplayEV a Bolt would be a really good deal there. As a second car it wouldn't be roundtripped as much but the capability would be there. Looking forward to the follow up video.
@@ScottThomasPhoto Yes, we do out of state deals, and we understand all the dealer reporting requirements for the Used EV tax credit. Give us a call if you want to talk through it.
@@greenwaveelectricvehicles I'm a couple of years away from the lease ending on the car I was referring to. Be interesting to see what you'll have on the lot by then. 🙂

Appreciate the hospitality, thanks for hosting us!
Jesse is an old friend of mine. So glad you two connected.
That's excellent... small world!
Cool to see someone knowledgeable creating a great resource for EV buyers! I hope they can fulfill their aspirations.
Couldn't agree more, Brian. Looking forward to watching them grow.
great job! 💪💪 we need more of this type of dealership!!!
Agreed! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great to see dedicated ev dealers coming.

a lighting next to an ELR, now thats a variety!
It's fun to swing by and see what they have on any given day... a walk down memory lane, when it comes to models like the ELR!
