I've always wondered, what if gamefreak did a special boss in one of their gens that utilizes exclusively meta strats and makes an AI that actually uses those strats well. Imagine, a remake of the Delta Episode but Zinnia's team now looks different, and before you know it you're getting baton passed and evasion stacked, spikes are on your side and she's spamming dragon tail. When you think you've got her sweeper down, she reveals her fourth move : pain split, and all of a sudden her leftovers mean your best pokemon is now down to a third of its health against her 70% sweeper. And once you think you've got her pinned, she brings out a fucking milotic with marvel scale and sleep talks your team to death. Add a leech seed on there and she's gonna be healing while you can barely do anything with your last one or two pokemon.

A baton pass trainer would be pretty interesting to face. However there is kind of a problem with these kinds of strategies. Antimeta. Pretty much, there are also teams designed to beat the meta so even if you made the AI more difficult you can still beat if if you say, just had a better matchup or you restart the match until the opponent gets bad rng and cant land their moves.
I'm in the Delta Episode in Alpha Sapphire and I don't want to finish it becuase Zinnia will leave. She's the whole reason why I replayed Alpha Sapphire.
