No QuickFix on HMD’s US debut unlike the Pulse sold in Europe,etc-hoping HMD’s next phones for the US have the QuickFix repairability which I truly appreciate.
@DarthAwar that's incorrect for most Android phones you still have to switch it on under memory settings, it's NOT automatic like on Windows...there are tutorials on this for HMD Pulse. But as he showed in the review, this is missing on this phone's software...another possibility is the virtual ram feature is only available for the higher config model but idk...strange!
My manager at Walmart knew i need a phone ASAP after breaking my old phone ! They had this phone on sale for $30 USD he was able to drop the price for me for $20 USD 😂 I love this phone and i only use for YT, Music and Streaming ❤
Seems to be listed as typical Li-Po/Li-Ion inside 😅 Perhaps it's based on the (misconception?) that new batteries should be fully charged to 100% for the first time to calibrate it so they just listed a number to be safe (but for modern batteries it's a contested topic and perhaps overkill lol :)
I just got this phone at Walmart for $29. I got it as a second phone in the home rather than a home phone so when I need verification codes or for some reason, my phone isn’t handy and they need to send me a code it can go to this phone as my backup phone number so far it works pretty good, and also my grandchildren can use it if they need to make calls and they don’t have to worry about borrowing my Apple phone if they broke it it’s affordable to just get a new one, this phone, not the Apple phone lol i’ll also take it when I travel so if for some reason, I don’t have my phone with me, I will leave it where I go back to either a hotel room or else’s house and I’ll have another phone at least to use to take care of things I need to take care of
I know nothing of them.. so are they able to be used without a services? I know phones but I am also very eh cause I know unlocking is a thing for some phones. Just for wifi
Hmd must assume that their British customers are illiterate. The only low end hmd phone with a decent processor is the hmd vibe which is not available in the uk. All of the other hmd entry level phones have slow mediatek and similar processors which from my experience of my son's G10 struggle to do anything.
Xiaomi anounced redmi A3x which will cost 60 euros globally supposedly and will have Unisoc T603 (basically slightly oc'd t602),it would be interesting to see a review of that . Without a plan these hmd phones cost 100$+ on top of the 40$ . I'm curious what drawbacks will have a phone for 60$ software wise . Sadly the battery is non removable and here in Europe we will have to wait till 2027 i think for manufacturers to ablige to eu laws to sell their products with a removable one .
why do always only the americans get the best performing cheap phones while they need them THE LEAST? whats up with Europe??? your monthly salary in the US at minimum is $3000 and you get $40 phones, while we work for $500 a month and the cheapest phone here is one fifth our salary
the Virtual RAM is AUTOMATIC as long as you have enough spare Storage Space it only Turns On when needed and Shuts Off when not no Reason or Need to control it! Virtual RAM in Windows 10 & 11 is Automatic
@DarthAwar for most Android phones you have to switch it on under settings, it's not automatic like Windows...there are tutorials on how to turn it on for the HMD Pulse: ua-cam.com/video/7CaWWtpj98U/v-deo.html But as he showed here, the same option is missing on the HMD Vibe's software...it's unlikely for 2 (almost identical) phones from the same brand to be set up differently, although another possibility is the virtual ram feature is only available for the higher end model but idk strange indeed!
For 40 bucks it´s a steal !!!!
119 bucks
@@havaddactually it's 29 on straight talk website
I got it for $20 USD new❤
HMD shouldn't have taken Nokia only to throw it away again just like Microsoft did. Poor old Nokia?
They didn’t “throw it out”. HMD signed a licensing deal with Nokia for use of their name and branding and that agreement has expired.

Gosh, if onky they had they used this Snapdragon processor for the HMD Pulse. Wouldve been the perfect budget phone
Is it a 64 bit or 32 bit

"Please charge your battery for 5 hours". That's weird, what kind of battery tech is in this?

It's also a bummer with android 14 to block installing legacy apps and you have to do some shenanigans to be able to install old apps .
Thats google fault. Even tho might dislike to some people, those apps are crappy and doesnt wark anyway on modern phones.
I know nothing of them.. so are they able to be used without a services? I know phones but I am also very eh cause I know unlocking is a thing for some phones. Just for wifi
Yes you can
India got the good phones first and North America got the budget phone. This is what you get for an emergency or your 13 year old. 😒

where can i get for 40 dollars?
You could get it for 29 at straight talk
£70 in the UK? Still good value.
$2000 phone's vs $40 phones, I'd be really concerned if i was making those $2000 dollar one's lol
The Aura sold in Australia and Kenya has a pro mode with a different UI in the camera app which the Vibe lacks.

I was gonna get this but the moto g play 2024 has a better processor
Hmd and Nokia should work together
Boom market 👏👏👏👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌👌👌

3,000 a month salary? The majority of people aren't making anywhere near 3000 a month.
I don't see HMD surviving. They just don't have any brand legacy to back them and i feel they don't truly understand the smartphone market.
They should fix the messy rollout too, and less useless products. Unisoc has plenty of choices that are much better than T606.
I think they are pretty cool
Good 👍

HMD was doomed from the beginning.
I honestly hate them so much. They made so many mediocre Nokia phones
They killed Nokia
If it's the same as Motorola, Ram Boost will be under System and then Performance in the settings menu.
i have this phone right now and i can say it is actually so bad i would of never paid for this phone if i knew it was going to be doggwatter
What's wrong with it in particular?
