  • "2014 was a great year," but it didn’t start off that way for Diana Taurasi. Dealing with a new roster, new coach, and team that many overlooked. The Phoenix Mercury were not considered playoff contenders, let alone champions.
Yet, they did just that -- won the 2014 WNBA Championship.
Fast forward to the next year and shockingly, Diana Taurasi would sit out of the 2015 WNBA season for more reasons than one.
Like so many others, Taurasi lived the majority of her 20s in Europe, where she reflects on the ability to play baseketball professionally, see the world, and stay focused on the family and friendships that mattered most.
In this 8-episode series presented by Nike and TOGETHXR, we highlight four pivotal years in the greatest duo’s journey: 1996, 2000, 2016 and 2020, through the lens of Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi.

She's a winner and champion. Her numbers have always meant something because rings are associated with those numbers. Well done Diana

I would argue that any roster with Ms. Diana is a potential championship roster!
