My son bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max last night at the local Verizon store. It was 6:45 PM and my son was the only one in the store. This is a large store. Unbelievable that opening weekend of an iPhone release that the store was empty and there was tons of inventory of phones and cases.
The capture button is just something Apple added to have something new on the latest iPhone To give it that slight leg up over last years model Not that it isn’t functional or handy
The video and I think if you have the 13 to 13 pro or 13 mini I don't think it's really worth updating yet unless like you said you're a person that is tech crazy and you have to have the newest. I'll be keeping my iPhone 13 mini at least another year cuz one I like the size too I like having an physical sim because my main phone is actually a Galaxy s24 Plus so I go back and forth It looks like we're never going to get a SIM card in a US phone so I guess I'll be keeping my iPhone 13 mini for really long time
True. However, I don't think Apple can do that because they are a publicly traded company that answers to shareholders, who want to keep making money.😂
I think a lot of people don’t realize that even if they barely use their phone, their phone is still degrading. If you leave a Corvette sitting in the garage long enough it won’t start. Not to say anything negative, but I’ve noticed that some low income people are even using the iPhone 6 or sevens those are some of the best phones for budget friendly
This illustrates the significant advancements in smartphone technology. Even technology that is a few years old remains user-friendly for the average person. Arguably, a major leap for Apple phones occurred with the introduction of 64-bit processors in the iPhone 5s.
I’m one of those XR people you mentioned, and I’m old enough to be your . . . . . older sister. Just ordered the 16 Pro Max, and I’m so excited I can’t stand it. (One of the positives of being older is that pretty much everything new is exciting.) Thanks for your videos! You’re fun to watch, and I think your audio is great!
13 pm to 16 pm. I’m happy with all the new (to me) features. Having flashlight on a button is great. I actually like the camera button. The 3g was my first then 4 then 5 then 6S plus then XS max, then 13 pm. Every one felt like an amazing upgrade until now, but that just seems to be the nature of the modern smart phone. I’m sure I’ll be well happy with it for the next three years.
If it wasn’t for the Verizon trade in credit of $1000 I would have kept chugging along with my 13 Pro Max for another 1-2 years. The differences between the models aren’t that staggering.
The heat issue is the only reason why I upgraded from 15PM. My 15 got so hot all the time and sometimes for no real reason lol. I’m praying the 16 is better
These comments crack me up. Pay apple over $1000 for a bad product so the solution is to pay the same company over $1000 a year later hoping for something better.
Lol yesterday I finally sent my iPhone 15 pro max back after my pixel 9 pro came. 5 years of iOS I don't know how I survived to be honest. I am loving my pixel and android. I'll never ever go back to iOS or iPhones again. It bored me to death.
How do u find the tensor g4? Do u experience any lags and can u play games? Does the frame get scratched easily? Coz I find the glossy frame get scratched easily..
@@brucelin5842 honestly no lag whatsoever- just some apps are better optimised on iOS for example I only noticed this on netflix that it sometimes opens and closes the app with a slight 1 second delay but that's due to the developer and the app rather than the chip. As for gaming I don't game much on a phone since due to past experiences on my past iPhones gaming on a phone deteriorates battery by a lot especially intensive games like Fortnite or something but the chip has held up very well with games I've played. The tensor G4 is powerful but just less powerful than the competition. Next year will be even a bigger game changer once Google moves to TSMC custom made chips on the pixel 10 which I will get. My 15 pro max was constantly getting hot in light general use, gaming and charging. I don't have the problem with my pixel and battery life is surprisingly good with outstanding standby time and lasts longer than my 15 pro max. As for the frames, any phone will get scratches it depends how you look after your stuff. If you leave it in the pocket with keys obviously it will get scratches that's with any device. All in all I love it and I'm glad I'm back with android. ios was just really boring I didn't enjoy using it at all especially the last 2 years.
@@brucelin5842 UA-cam keeps deleting my comment not sure why but it's an outstanding phone no lag solid battery life no heat even when charging or gaming brightness is amazing and never dims down. Standby is amazing and just such a fun phone to use. Next year TSMC chip will be even better With pixel 10 will get that too. all I know is I'll never go back to iOS.
So I went to a store and checked them out. I was like "wow those colors are sweet" and then started using the regular 16. 60 hz hit me like a ton of bricks. I never thought I cared, but I really do now after using 15 pro for a year. It's really jarring.
Around here in Massachusetts the pros are gone, pleanty of refs. Good video, it’s nice to hear someone tell the truth about how most people use their phones.
I still have 100% battery health on my 15 pro max only 2 days short of a full year of every day use with 219 charging cycles. I have not had anything similar on any phone ever before
i have the ultrs 24 too and for some reason whenever i chose dark mode certain apps and the web browser doesn't automatically switch to dark mode. i have to manually change all 3 to dark mode, any tips?
And you have to tell the world that you’re happy with your S24 Ultra? Good for you I’m happy with my 16 Pro Max. I mean, what do you expect? Apple to do? Even Samsung is not really doing much outside of AI and their foldables.
I traded in my 15 pro max for the 16 pro max. It’s a massive improvement for me. I can charge my phone in my car now with out it overheating. It is also faster by a serious margin, especially when I’m outside in the heat.
I have a Iphone 12 Pro max. The reason why I didn't upgrade last year was because ... i simply removed the case from my iphone 12 pro max and it felt like brand new phone :D But this year I feel like my 12 pro max battery has really gone bad and I cannot get 4h screen time any longer without charging. So I ordered 16 pro max yesterday and I am most likely gonna use it next 4 - 5 years before actually upgrading again. My wife has 15 pro max and it feels amazing. The feature I look forward most to is 120hz screen. I also like big phones so 6.9 sounds cool. Anyways, nice video :P thanks
Facts, that was my assessment of my Iphone 15 Pro Max. It drained battery quicker. It stopped charging at 80% saying it is pauced due to phone too hot. So far the issues are fixed on the Iphone 16 Pro Max.
I got the 16 pro max after having the 12 pro max and it is a huge improvement. I do not regret upgrading at all. I can take full advantage of my 1.4Gb 6E WiFi now and the processor and screen refresh rate now being adaptive and above 60 feels so much better. The sound quality is night and day better in comparison and so loud. The screen colors also look better and more vibrant and it gets much brighter so image quality is better. The battery lasts SO MUCH longer as well and its slightly larger screen is pretty nice. I like it so far.
Just noticed I have had my Xperia 1V [with a shutter release] for almost a year. Still a very cool camera with a built-in phone. I used to be like you describe, with cameras, rather than cars or phones. Tech and excitement have leveled off with many of these items. Also we have aged and have different priorities from when we were younger. My partner won't let me sell my car [which was exciting in 2000 but not a Corvette], when we were young[er] lovers. I just made her back up 9000 photos from her iPhone 12. Phones are not her priority. I remember her laughing at the size of the iPhone 6. A crooked tile does not bother me but that hanging cable could be routed out of the picture, no?
Went from 14 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max. My 14 was heating up too often for me to keep dealing with it. I did get the Desert Titanium and I have to say that the name is a lot better than the color itself!
That's a shame. While my Pixel 9PXL battery lasts well into the next day, this is definitely a two-day phone, and I have been out and about these past few days on 5G UC. Not to mention I've had no problems viewing the screen outside, especially when it's bright out. Seems like the brighter it is outside, the brighter the screen gets. And I haven't felt it get hot at all.
The S24 Ultra is still the king (multitasking, split screen, battery life, regular updates, there is no lag when you use the keyboard, using zoom can help you see far away objects if you need to for real and is much more important then maybe little bit ("") better camera( depend for who) and finally, the S Pen and much more like free apps free to download all you want. What else...)
I have gone from an s23 ultra and I was constantly disappointed by the lack of consistency of the phone! I then got the 15 pro max, had the same issues as you, overheating consistently and terribly battery so grabbed the 16 pro max and I’m loving it so far! It’s cooler and the battery feels better! I hope people start making cases with an additional button for camera control though…
I'm coming all the way back from the iPhone 8, so this will probably remain my next forever phone until it starts getting some significant performance and battery life drops. Bet they'll do 120Hz within the next few generations. They've won me over the the alleged best battery life. I was pretty close to trying an S24 Ultra. But now I can also keep my iMessaging my family with high resolution photo and video. And I can keep using my iTunes for my music management.
I would make the leap. You will enjoy an IPhone 16 for sure. Take in as many reviews as you can about the device if you can't quite commit to one instantly.
You make a lot of good points. My son has been rocking out the iPhone XS and he doesnt want to switch lol. We have an iPhone 13 Pro Max but he wants to keep what he has. I would agree for normal users you dont notice that big of a difference. Great content!

I've had my iPhone 12 for almost 5 yrs. The battery life has deteriorated substantially in the last year. I looked into upgrading to a new or different phone. My carrier offered me $830 towards a new iPhone. So I took it. More memory and a better camera. Now I have to learn how to use it. I never really learned how to use my iPhone 12. Wish me luck.
I’m really liking my 16 Plus so far. I upgraded for no reason but I’ve been on my phone all day, watching a lot of UA-cam and TikTok videos and I’m at 60%. I love iPhone, Samsung, and pixel. I’ve got them all; I’m just a phone junkie
Here in the UK they are all sold out with exception of the base 16 and delivery dates weeks away, went to the apple store and there was queue of people to buy it yesterday..
I have got to say I have just recently started watching your reviews and I am astonished how on you are as Millennial to see the crap that Apple are pushing out. I have been using Apple computers as well as others since I was in school and I have never been impressed with the creations on a price ratio with other technologies such as Android and the other more expensive phones that use this as un underlying operating system. Excellent perception. BSc Computer Science & Automation (oxon)
I went with 16PM only because it was cheaper than current phone after a screw up with last trade in. Fully agree people aren’t running to grab phones anymore. I only do flagships because of screen size. Tried to go smaller and just didn’t feel good. But I will say speed and things are negligent anymore unless you are that 1% power user. I got the last black 256gb in store. I’m glad it is darker and not space grey. Really like the going back to deep legit black. I think it is crazy to upgrade every year. I feel like it is going to be every 3/4 years to take advantage of trade ins. The iPhone 11 and below was minimal trade in towards the newer ones. I think Samsung was the only one doing any Samsung towards a 24u will be 1000$ off.
My wife wanted the 16 plus in green and on Friday they told her that they're almost out of them so she should wait in line because they won't get more in until next week, so we came back on Sunday and picked it up with no line 😕
On the first day the phone in indexing all of your data in the background. It is performing text indexing, image recognition, etc. This is to allow for faster searching. It takes time, and drags down your battery. Even if your phone does not appear to be working, it is still busy and will consume your battery. But only on the first day.
Hi! What do you think is more reliable, durable or will not likely go to the repair center an I Phone 15+/14+ or the Galaxy s24+. Breaking the screen does not count just the usb jack not working anymore within a year or other parts. I have already my A55 needing its usb port replaced under warranty and my older A54 got its usb port replaced twice once under warranty and another outside warrenty. I asked the Samsung technician if phone needing its usb port replaced with in a year or sometime and he said they often replace usb c ports of the A series but not often with the S series including the FE's because he said S series seems more durable. Did you have more repairs on Galaxies or the I phones. I have not have a flagship phone yet but I really want to have one and I narrowed it to an S + or an I Phone +?
I tested both the 16 pro max and s24 ultra at the store today and I still think the s24 ultra is way more fun to use like my s23 ultra. The s pen w gestures and sound effects , multi tasking, open operating system, way better display lightyears ahead corning glass no reflections, good lock, emulation at a higher level w no limitations, Samsung TV ecosystem etc . I'll wait for the s25 ultra
You made a Good point with what most people do with there phones. I was pretty much iphone se until iphone 14 pro max. Little dissehearted with the fact it doesnt have ai capabilities. Im contemplating samsung s25 ultra, or possibly the se coming out next year cheap see what AI on Iphone is like. I do like the iphone ecosystems iwatch itunes. But I had a note 2 and was impressed with it. The phones are so expensive it makes your choice harder. I went back in your library unless I missed something it seems like pixel and iphones are your most tested phones.
You're right. There's nothing that I do with an iPhone that really pushes the processor. The A13 in my iPhone 11 still feels snappy. I put a battery in a 64gb iPhone X last Friday and, granted it's still on iOS 16 but, it doesn't struggle with normal tasks. I prefer to game on Android and I push my Pixel 6a pretty hard on some games but it handles it fine.
People who complain are either apple haters or people coming from iPhone 15 pro max. I’m coming from a 13 and it’s great. Will have lots of software updates in the near future so that’s cool for me. No one should expect miracles from a phone.
I get what you’re saying but if you have had a 13 pro max other than a minor camera update and a minor software (and the notch) update the phone is basically the same it’s not that people are complaining saying other phones are better that’s just the fan boy culture disregard that, it’s more that apple says stuff like “this is the best phone we’ve ever made” or other things like that to entice potential buyers to think it’ll be a big difference when in reality unlesss you’re a hardcore power user of a phone most of the upgrades aren’t as visibly noticed unless you’re coming from a non pro phone to a pro in my opinion which it sounds like you are so ofc the upgrade is going to be felt. In my opinion the only thing apple have mainly advertised this year that’s been different was the AI but the fact the AI features aren’t even available at launch in a way makes the product feel unfinished and each year apple has lost more and more of their magic and pull the way they used to because they simply don’t innovate anymore and continue to increase the price of their phone while offering dismal trade in value for phones that if bought new would cost more then twice as much as they would offer
@@NateBuildingBricksexactly I just got back from visiting family in the UK I had both my physical sim from the states and an eSIM for the time I was there because the plans over there are just better in my opinion than spending twice as much on an international roaming package, there’s no real justification other than battery health in my opinion for someone who has a 13 14 15 pros at this point
People just complain for the sake of it. It’s not 2000s anymore and phones won’t be changing drastically from year to year. Reviewers should adjust to this fact and start focusing on other useful stuff instead of complaining. All of them are repeating the same things well how about you give us the specs and show us the phone without your opinion!? And I’m not talking specifically about this guy but in general.
@@Elbsmy the annual release of phones is dead tbh that’s why people are complaining there’s no real way to create a feature that hasn’t been made before that will be able to be put in a phone and change the way we use smartphones in a “monumental way” that’s why apple tried to go the Vision Pro route because they wanted to try initiate a way of having smartphones and smart technology without having a phone and just a set of oversized glasses etc. because you have one side who’s like iJustine who would literally let Apple shit on her face at this point and say comment how clean it felt and how new the experience was, vs the other side who would say how it is and just say how there isn’t much need to upgrade if “you already own xyz phones/maybe wait another year before upgrading” it’s not that phones are bad it’s that each release gives less of a reason to need to upgrade on a yearly basis in the same way people might have felt compelled to before due to the amount of changes apple and Samsung might have made before. The phones have gotten too good if that makes sense to where each new “feature” ends up either being a feature other brands do better/created first, or are features that end up not really benefitting the overall user experience because the phones themselves have reached a point where there’s not much you can do to standout from what has already been done
I usually always wait 3 years. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and works fine for me. I don’t know 🤷 if I should upgrade I’m not feeling these prices seriously.
I would not only say that the first day, but the first week, you can't do a battery test. How was the charging speed with the new battery setup? Better I hope?! Also I have the dji mic system. Super awesome. I have a deep voice and it picks up.
I got the 16 pro. Happy with it so far. It’s a phone. It does phone things and takes nice pictures. What more could I want? Screen is nice, battery is fine, and it’s not running Android. (Had bad experiences with Android)
I agree I think ppl need to understand cellphones have pretty much hit a plateau and the new models will only bring spec updates along with a few new features.
Yeah, I keep trying my 15PM cause it's a great phone. It does everything great! I just keep coming back to my 24 Ultra because that iPhone is boring which sounds stupid, but like you, I'm brain damaged I guess. I don't like that multitasking is so difficult on it. Me splitting the screen for banking and budgeting is what sinks the iPhone. They got better with some customizations in icons and home screen etc, but that's it! I run the beta 18.1 on it and still, it's dull. I've found that AI on either software is not Earth shattering for me. Regardless of iOS or Android. Cleaning up photos is cool I guess, but seldom gets use. Anyways, have a nice day brother.
yearly replacement is incredibly dumb, but most go through that. hopefully, people move beyond that. but then again, people are on their phone so much more than they used to be. wish people would keep a phone for 2 or 3 years so maybe prices would be more reasonable. 1500-2000 a year for a phone is just ridiculous.
No phone is really selling like they use to. I will say as bad as ppl think the iPhone did as far as sales I’m sure Samsung Google etc all did worst. It’s just the times we in 🤷🏾♂️
I feel phones are so perfect at this point that the only thing all phones can improve on is battery life. If we can get a phone, iPhone or android, battery to last at least a week, it’ll be a game changer
Yo, so I'm thinking of switching back to iPhone, but only if they come out with a package deal that includes AirPods, a fast charger, and a case. I'll probably still buy the watch separately to get the full experience. If Apple doesn't make any major changes to the iPhone 17, I might just go all-in on Samsung and get their watch, buds, tablet, and TV. But if Apple can pull off something truly innovative, I might give them one more chance. For now, though, I'm sticking with my Z Fold 6 and exploring the Samsung ecosystem. Question, what should i get for the samsung ecosystem experience? Example. I use to have apple watch. Airpods, i have an ipad pro. And when i used it all with iphone it worked good. Samsung i have a little hard time knowing what to buy
I got the 13pro max Upgraded from the 11 and the 6s If you want the new one for the battery 🪫 don’t forget you can get a new one from Apple for under $100. My battery is amazing again 🔋 brand new. It’s amazing. Save yourself money if you can
Another entertaining and informative video! Appreciate yr insights. I remember being an Apple user, switched to Android in 2015. It always seemed to be such a privileged show with Apple to buy one of their products! I guess they need some kind of order or it should be chaos, at least back then it was, now like you say, it's same old same old however Samsung seems to be falling into that rut! Schmoozing us with slightly more rounded corners than square and charging another $100.00 to do it! My daughter is off to buy her 16 Pro today. Will see how that goes. She says the Pro Max too big for smaller hands. Hope the battery life is decent. Her 13 ProMax was always out of power.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and its like what is the point of upgrading? It’s the same phone I already have plus a button 🤷🏼♀️ When my battery starts to crap out in another year or so then I’ll upgrade.
Wow interesting with your 15 pro max problems. I had very similar issues. Especially the connection issue, data would be super slow and even on WiFi there were times where it was super slow. Battery health on my 15 pro was 90% and battery life sucked. Loving my 16 pro max now. Battery life seems infinitely times better and doesn’t over heat like my 15 pro did all the time. It’s almost like Apple didn’t do enough real world testing with the 15 series cause it sucked for me.
Sf Bay Area, 16 pro available in store pretty much every color and storage, pro max available but not every color and storage combination. You can walk out of store for pro max if you don’t mind color or storage size I don’t think that was the case on 15 pro max launch day
I said I wouldn’t get one but I got an unbelievable offer from my carrier on a trade in, I took it, the 16pro max, there’s some nice things there like you said but the battery life for me is a major upgrade, I find the camera button to be a bit low, it would have been better if was near the centre, it’s hard to operate it with one hand, I wouldn’t have upgraded other than the deal I was offered, the phone is much heavier than I thought also
Not here in Alberta Canada. Not available online. New phones usually have the best battery life in my experience. Full setup time, weeks, month or two. Even my pc, always a few apps I forget to add.
I've had the EXACT same issues with my 15 Pro that you have had with your 15Pro max. I really would like to know if the reception and heating issues have been fixed, id gladly swap out my 15 Pro, but it will still be my second phone, Pixel 9pro XL is my new daily. But please let me/us know about the reception.
I went from the 15 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max, I know its not dramatic but the 16 pro max did seem snappier and I can tell you one thing with 100% certainly the mic and speaker are so much better. I did a lot of comparisons and I tested the recording from a 15 pro max vs 16 pro max with 5 variations of recording and tested it on 4 different people and everyone one of them picked the 16 pro max sound recording each time and no, not a reason to upgrade but its not as the same as your saying it is but I get it. Not worth upgrading but I dont think you’re going wrong by upgrading either.
I'm like you Adam, I love Iphones, Samsung's and Pixels. But you're right, whenever I test someone as an excercise, by asking what iphone they have, that I can see them using(I know what it is by looking), they nearly always say, no idea what number it is mate, it just does what I need.
There IS actually an iPhone for sale TODAY brand new from Apple that feels different! The iPhone SE 3! I still rock that guy when I want to carry a smaller phone on me. I will never stop loving touch ID and the 4.7" screen
We kind of topped out in phone technology big up grades…. For about majority of people they don’t use 60 to 70 % of features on phones now days . Most people care about screen size battery life camera effects and color, if you’re smart you put a case on it to protect your investment and you can get any color you want. I keep my phone for 4 or 5 years before upgrading, probably going to upgrade to 16 plus from 11 Pro Max , hard to let go of it REALLY love the look and feel of the rounded edges phones. They should just update phones like the IPads every 2 years 😄
The main tbing people could change phones is battery life, but for me this is a massive upgrade as I've never used an iPhone before im coming from a OnePlus 9 pro to 16 pro max haha

Quite right. I don't care about that button at all. It's a technically nifty button but otherwise not particularly useful.
The video and I think if you have the 13 to 13 pro or 13 mini I don't think it's really worth updating yet unless like you said you're a person that is tech crazy and you have to have the newest. I'll be keeping my iPhone 13 mini at least another year cuz one I like the size too I like having an physical sim because my main phone is actually a Galaxy s24 Plus so I go back and forth It looks like we're never going to get a SIM card in a US phone so I guess I'll be keeping my iPhone 13 mini for really long time
Apple has peaked with people getting excited about new phones.
True. However, I don't think Apple can do that because they are a publicly traded company that answers to shareholders, who want to keep making money.😂
@@alexanderconcepcion803 they are kinda cornered by the shareholders to produce basically the same phone over and over with just a few tweeks.
Sure. You can do that
This illustrates the significant advancements in smartphone technology. Even technology that is a few years old remains user-friendly for the average person. Arguably, a major leap for Apple phones occurred with the introduction of 64-bit processors in the iPhone 5s.
How do you know low income folks using or buying those phones?
@@87cozart because I live in a low income area, and they are a great alternative to expensive iPhones and androids.
Yay. Congrats on the big upgrade. Hope you enjoy the new phone. And thanks for the support. Glad you enjoy the videos.
That’s a nice upgrade
If it wasn’t for the Verizon trade in credit of $1000 I would have kept chugging along with my 13 Pro Max for another 1-2 years. The differences between the models aren’t that staggering.
Same with me and AT&T lol. I couldn’t turn down $1000 for my 13 Pro Max
Me too ATT and actually Costco has a better deal for ATT
The heat issue is the only reason why I upgraded from 15PM. My 15 got so hot all the time and sometimes for no real reason lol. I’m praying the 16 is better
Did you update to the latest software?
@@mahinahmed2316 this was before I updated . It’s been this way out the box
Anything to justify your purchase, good for you 😂
@@bbcringegaming lol I usually upgrade every year anyways , but the heating issue gave me more incentive to do so 😝
These comments crack me up. Pay apple over $1000 for a bad product so the solution is to pay the same company over $1000 a year later hoping for something better.
I don’t suffer from this tech craziness. I enjoy every minute of it lol.
Haha. Same
Lol yesterday I finally sent my iPhone 15 pro max back after my pixel 9 pro came. 5 years of iOS I don't know how I survived to be honest. I am loving my pixel and android. I'll never ever go back to iOS or iPhones again. It bored me to death.
I feel you gang I’m bout ready to send mine back usb c on a iPhone suck 👎🏽👎🏽
You got such a better phone now. So many cool things you can do. Android is much more consumer focused.
And i was swiping them next to each other and cant see any difference

Around here in Massachusetts the pros are gone, pleanty of refs. Good video, it’s nice to hear someone tell the truth about how most people use their phones.
I still have 100% battery health on my 15 pro max only 2 days short of a full year of every day use with 219 charging cycles.
I have not had anything similar on any phone ever before
Do you have 80% limit set? What are your charging habits?

The 4K 120fps mode eats 0.8 GB per minute.
I refuse to upgrade till they offer 2TB storage
I traded in my 15 pro max for the 16 pro max. It’s a massive improvement for me. I can charge my phone in my car now with out it overheating. It is also faster by a serious margin, especially when I’m outside in the heat.
15pro max here to stay for at least 2 more years 😭😭

So many facts lol
That's a shame. While my Pixel 9PXL battery lasts well into the next day, this is definitely a two-day phone, and I have been out and about these past few days on 5G UC. Not to mention I've had no problems viewing the screen outside, especially when it's bright out. Seems like the brighter it is outside, the brighter the screen gets. And I haven't felt it get hot at all.
Honest reviews always gone win 😂😂😂

Nice. That will be a huge upgrade
Thanks for the review! I’m going back and forth on whether to make the leap from 13 Pro Max but my battery life is still so good
Definitely a tough decision. Hopefully the battery holds up as well on the 16 series

I think it is crazy to upgrade every year. I feel like it is going to be every 3/4 years to take advantage of trade ins. The iPhone 11 and below was minimal trade in towards the newer ones. I think Samsung was the only one doing any Samsung towards a 24u will be 1000$ off.

On the first day the phone in indexing all of your data in the background. It is performing text indexing, image recognition, etc. This is to allow for faster searching. It takes time, and drags down your battery. Even if your phone does not appear to be working, it is still busy and will consume your battery. But only on the first day.
Sure, if you have an Apple phone.

I'd rather have the 13 pro. It had an esim and physical sim. Sometimes physical sim is handy while traveling overseas

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
It’s just the times we in 🤷🏾♂️
All the black colors are sold out but I can get the rest of the colors today and pick it up if I wanted to.

I feel phones are so perfect at this point that the only thing all phones can improve on is battery life. If we can get a phone, iPhone or android, battery to last at least a week, it’ll be a game changer
My 12 PM just broke and I've never really been a fan of my Fold 4 so I'm getting the 16 PM. The 12 was an amphibious tank inside the otterbox case

You can walk out of store for pro max if you don’t mind color or storage size I don’t think that was the case on 15 pro max launch day
Seriously. This is not normal.
I have the iPhone 16pro upgraded from 14pro. It’s basically closer to candy bar shape which is interesting. The camera control is a bit annoying.
I said I wouldn’t get one but I got an unbelievable offer from my carrier on a trade in, I took it, the 16pro max, there’s some nice things there like you said but the battery life for me is a major upgrade, I find the camera button to be a bit low, it would have been better if was near the centre, it’s hard to operate it with one hand, I wouldn’t have upgraded other than the deal I was offered, the phone is much heavier than I thought also
Upgrading from my 12 pro to the 16 pro max is a pretty solid upgrade lol
You’re an awesome tech reviewer. Like your videos a lot. I have the 14 Pro, Do you think i should upgrade??? I’m debating about it.
I upgraded from 14 pro. But went pro max this year. 14 pro to 16 pro isn’t worth the upgrade.

I've had the EXACT same issues with my 15 Pro that you have had with your 15Pro max.

There IS actually an iPhone for sale TODAY brand new from Apple that feels different! The iPhone SE 3! I still rock that guy when I want to carry a smaller phone on me. I will never stop loving touch ID and the 4.7" screen
In terms of overall smoothness, how do Pixel phones stack up against iPhones?
It's incredibly smooth. I've never used an android phone that performed like this
Very good. The new pixel 9 series phones especially the pro is incredibly smooth. Best experience I think I’ve ever had on an android or pixel.
Wait, a new iPhone released? I didn’t realize that. I’m happy with my 13 pro max. The days of upgrading every year are over for me.
They should just update phones like the IPads every 2 years 😄
Sticking to my iPhone 13 Pro; changed the battery at the Apple store two weeks ago.
The main tbing people could change phones is battery life, but for me this is a massive upgrade as I've never used an iPhone before im coming from a OnePlus 9 pro to 16 pro max haha
WIsh they brought back the "S" moniker to show its only an incremental update.
Me too
