Seamstresses never get recognized for the stress they go through.. I am a seamstress, I live this on a daily! Some customers do recognize the hard work and stress I put into their garments, others act like what I do is child's work. I feel your stress through the screen girl, but you did a great job for your first try on a very detailed shirt!
My mom used to sew stuff, but gave it up. Like who needed the extra stress?
@@recoil53 Just like Claudia said as soon as you see your baby 😍 you forget all about the stress and want another one lol also for every Bad client I get, I get 3 super appreciative clients who when they try on the garment and smile from ear to ear and say thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you it's worth the stress 😊

And you gotta love the people who DON’T sew but they lowball your work and say “it can’t be THAT hard”. Or when people find out you sew and they want you to hem their clothes for free “because we’re friends!”. Okay FRIEND...go wash my dishes, feed my kids, and walk my dogs while I use my time, supplies, and skills to hem your clothes.

An alternate origin theory for the guayabera is that it was introduced to Mexico during the Manila-Acapulco transpacific trade during colonial times, and as such is a direct descendant of a Barong Tagalog

Guayaberas are used throughout the Caribbean! It's the standard for men! My dad loved his guayaberas!

Actually history of this skirt which you did a magnificent job on says it originated in Puerto Rico in 1967. I never heard of them until 1975 when I met my sweet guapo hubby. I want to make one after seeing this. Thank you

I was about to say the same thing. my Dad lives in them but he is not a doctor, he says they keep him cool. Unfortunately, many workplaces do not allow them
