Denmark's Largest Bank Will Pay $2 Billion After Pleading Guilty To Defrauding U.S. Banks
They moved 200 billion for a 2 billion fine. That’s a promotional boost.
"And dont do it again or else" *wags finger*
Pennies on the dollar. Would have made more had we confiscated all the money being laundered.
Corruption everywhere.
Half or more of the laundered money was the pumpkin king.
I'm sure some US banks are not so clean either , however they get away with a fine with no criminal liability.
A tRump will be involved.
Anybody else see the title and think "is this Deutsche Bank, Russia and Trump money laundering related?"
No
Yep
I'm Danish and I'm disgusted by Danske Bank. When a company behaves like that, it shouldn't just be fined... it should also be shut down. A kind of company death penalty, so to speak
Since when are there rules in banking?
Eric Trump in 2014-"We don't rely on American banks. We get all the funding we need out of Russia."
Of course, Trump has been involved in money laundering by Russians for years. Read about Condos that Russians paid 2 to 3 times their value in a down real estate economy.
Sounds like we need more punitive fines.
Sounds like we need to throw these people in jail.. Because fines are just a part of doing business for these criminals. It's built into the cost.
@@808zhu Well if the fines are crippling to the criminal activity, then they're doing the work.
@@bthsr7113 When have they been? Does it oust the heads of the company? The criminals themselves?
@@808zhu I said IF. They are often not even a tenth of what they owe before punitive addition and multiplication. Though IF they were properly scaled, they COULD be an effective deterrent.
@@bthsr7113 You're against holding the company operators criminally liable? 🤔
Looks like Donnie found his new bank.
And kushner
"After Pleading Guilty To Defrauding U.S. Banks"
a bank that plead guilty you most be joking there the most honest bank out there. most other banks get fined x amount “but denied to any wrongdoing" or whatever it is all corporations end up settling for in court
how about they send execs to prison instead of just fining corporations, im so sick of the wealthiest people being able to get away with whatever they want because the law isn't real for them, if the penalty for bad behavior is a fine they just see that as part of the cost of doing business
And I'm guessing not a single person will go to prison.
The report did ay 8 had been arrested and charged.
Unbelievable for this kind of crime to be committed by high and respected institution like bank
Since when were banks highly respected institutions?
Is it really that unbelievable??
Sarcasm doesn't read well on the internet 😉 Especially when the Danish bank only got caught because they forgot to line the pockets of the US banks' CEOs.
"guard the integrity of the u.s. financial institutions"
haha... that's rich. good one.
They Got caught Did They?
As a Dane, Im so sorry for this. I cant believe they literally did this. The fact they did this, it is so disgusting.
No sweat, all bankers are crooks.
Any bank with the resources that danske bank has would have done the same, and the ones with the opportunity to do the same as danske bank just havent been caught yet.
Funny how these criminal corporations do criminal things and rarely are people ever held accountable. Paying a small fine compared to what they've made is b.s.
That's Law and Order for the rich They get away with TRILLIONS. WHILE The poor gets locked away for pennies.
I still love Denmark
The US banks don't need help with fraud. They are very experienced.
Why at 0:57 does MSNBC show the Deutsche Bank logo? Deutsche Bank wasn't even mentioned.
wonder what the orangetraitor's cut was...
She almost laughed, when he said US justice.
Denmark is the happiest place on earth because their tax money goes toward complimentary healthcare, college, and 30 hour work week with a living wage. Too bad our nation will spend all that money and our taxes on extra military instead.
Humanitarian versus BARBARISM.
First it was Deutsche Bank, now this bank.
Just the a small cost of doing business in the fraud market these days. No justice
Denmark?! Happy peaceful Denmark?! I'm shocked 😲
hey, we got to finance the happiness somehow
we're addicted to happiness (and money)
please send financial support to help for treatment
we take cash, debit card and paypal
(hehe the idiots will totaly buy this hehe)
And... No one is going to jail? Huh.
That seems odd.
And yet no one will go to jail for this bank fraud…. 😳😳😳
I wonder if 45 banks with them. Follow the money.
And nobody goes to jail.
If one of us had done it we'd be in prison the first day!
How many apartments in tump tower with that dirty money?
That seems like a small amount to pay.
"something is rotten in the state of Denmark"
William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Act I, scene iv.
No no. Amsterdam sir! Yes yes. There too. -pink panther x)
That's getting old... Tell me you're from the US without telling me you're from the US.
The fraud was committed by a private bank, not the state of Denmark. And it took place in Estonia.
Having said that, it's one of those banks that are too big to fail.
@@mrbatman4robin indeed I know
why no jail time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hiw much did they defraud? And they should be banned from ever doing business in the U.S. or with any u.s. companies.
Typical. Billions of dollars. The fine is absolutely Nothing compared to what they got away with. Noone goes to jail.😒 yet, we're over here sending people to prison for lil shyt that is minute/miniscule to the amount of criminality in this case. Ridiculous
Guys listen all of you , nothing is going to happen they do it all the time the are involved in drugs also the law is only for the average guy not for the big boys
It were through the Estonian branch, owned by Danske Bank.
DENMARK ALLWAYS TALK, AWAY FROM
not justice ,1% fine?
Again? LOL It's not the first time
Danske bank screwed me, an individual, and probably many others never mind US financial institutions..
My bank! Not a proud moment, and i know who will pay a share ....their customers....
Arrests but, no convictions?
MONEY = JUSTICE?... See if that works for your unincorporated azz?
1:00 (This "prosecution" was an effort to guard the integrity of the US financial system from tainted money.)
Bet they didn't put ANY mechanisms in place to prevent future occurrences of this 'BUSINESS AS USUAL"
Wow. Thanks alot for helping to rip the american people off
They didn't rip off the american people... smh did you even watch the video?
I blame Jim Cramer
I'll take mine in large or small bills please!
😮 this how dark money and the evil ones who watches the dirt 💵
Very interesting.
Rich men lie because they can get away with it.
Sometimes😉🌹
Jeg tror, at Chefer for Riksbanken og bankernes forhold til kongen kan handle om et klassesamfund med udlån af kongens penge i bytte for for eksempel bankrenter, og at dette bør undersøges med en ny stat.
Did 45 bank there?

Must be related to Trump.
I saw on another channel Trump has many loans from guess where yup Danske !!!!!
Thankfully, we have Biden's DOJ on the job. Great work!
THANKS TRUMPS TAXES!!!!!
There's always something rotten in Denmark...
This has nothing to do with Denmark, why are you americans so incredibly ignorant? Using that sentence is also always a clear clue that you're american, it's tragicomic.
Has the USA apologised for listening in on European politicians by using Denmark yet?
Thanks President Joe Biden!!
Not related to Biden. Stupid comment.
I'll bet Donnie is looking to borrow money from them right away.
STEAL $200 BILLION AND PAY BACK $2 BILLION!
