The first advice is CRAZY simple and true! I've been able to keep my various glasses in good shape for years by listening to this. I have seen someone trash not 1 but 2 pairs of Maui Jim's due to some of the stuff you're saying.
Secret tip, clean the inside of your case, little particles can get stuck on the fabric inside and scratch your glasses when you put your glasses away. Don't always assume your case is clean inside.
Good tips on the cleaning. Rob, I get the on "your face or in the case" but then what do we do with the case? Are you going to start selling cases with a chain to hang around our necks? I wear big sunglasses and none of the cases fit in my pocket. I don't live in Hollywood where people walk around inside with dark shades all the time. Quite the conundrum.
I get it, and I'm sure having hair works. I shave my head, so glasses are especially prone to falling off my naked dome. So Sunglass Rob's advice rang true for my situation.

How can I remove the sticky film that has developed on my Ray Bans after they were stored in their case for a few years? They're not hard plastic, but rather have a silicone or rubber feel.
Another tip. In the case of my "bans" I don't particularly like that the case interior is NOT particularly smooth ? OK, its not ! sooner or later if you keep using that case , taking it in/ out you are gonna see a "dull spot " on your lenses(s) that wont polish out . Ditch the RB case, keep in a drawer, by a $6 dollar Case including micro fibre bag , put your bans in the bag and then in the case. Hi Rick! ✋ Yes, the best way is to apply a small amount of dishwashing liquid or gentle hand soap to your fingertips and rub gently on both sides of lenses then rinse with lukewarm water 🧼 This should remove any water spots without damaging the lens material and/or coatings
I love your videos. The problem is the price at sport rx . 200 plus prices over glasses usa. Same product. I want to support you all but the price is too extreme. Justify the price in a future video. Not sure you can
Hi Susan! The best practice is to place the frames in the case with the lenses facing upward and place the included microfiber cleaning cloth over the lenses ✌️
First, do NOT use the spray on cleaner for dishes or any harsh cleaners. Do Not shower with them on. Rinse with cool or cold water, use Dawn without additives, rinse again. rinse with distilled water if possible. Then blow on them to get the water off the lenses, dry the frames around the the lenses carefully. I mainly blow the water off with my mouth and have perfected not spitting on them, lol. Never rub hard. Dawn should get them clean with lightly rubbing.
Don't go paddleboarding with them on! Or wear a retainer, I learned this mistake last Saturday, my prescription glasses are now at the bottom of an (average) 50m depth lake.
I have the ray ban stories matte black frames dark gray lenses what can I use to clean em with. Can’t get em wet and are the lenses glass or no, thank you for the video
Hi Rusty! General lens cleaner or a microfiber cloth applied only to the polycarbonate lens (not available in glass) should do the trick without damaging the tech in the Stories frame.
These advises are helpful in general, but your RB New Wayfarer frame arms start collecting the scratches on your first day of wearing them. I have noticed scratches on the places you fold the arms. Is it somethining unavoidable or is it my frame only? Please, share your experiences
Hey Farrukh! Scratching on the temple arms isn't uncommon, especially if/when one stores the glasses in a tight pocket where pressure is applied causing the intersection point of the temple arms to rub together. One way to prevent this is to place the glasses in a case when not worn with a microfiber cloth (included with most frame purchases) between the folded arms. Hope this helps!
I always kept it in the case. I guess putting the cleaning cloth between the folded arms is a good idea, but that is too much or hassle! Thank you though!

Clean it with Lens cleaner and place Silica Gel packets near them. The silica gel packets will adsorb and hold water vapor which causes growth of mold. That's what happened to your sunglasses. Those are mold. I use silica gel packets to protect my expensive DSLR lens from that stuff. Try it!

I have questions how about to clean the rayban glasses with oil face after used and sometimes dirty rubber i don't no where is come into my rayban..when i clean and wipe the glasses the oil face and the dirty rubber make more dirty my glasses..how to clean this two things it make me angry when i cleaning my rayban because after used i will put in the case back.
This is a great question! The best option is one-time-use pre-moistened lens cleaning cloths that you can purchase at most optical shops, grocery stores, or amazon. You can also use dry lens cleaning cloths with lens-specific spray. You will have to use a few cloths in order to remove the oil buildup. Each time you clean with a lens tissue, some of the oil (depending on the amount) will attach to the tissue material. Discard the used tissue and repeat the process until all the oil and dirt is removed from the frame/lens surface. Often people use dirty microfiber cloths to clean their lenses, which will only smear the oil around rather then remove it from the frame/lens material. Hope this helps and let us know how it worked out!

I was reading rayban pamphlet it says do not use solvents or alcohol so do glass cleaning spray count towards this? And Is it good to rest your glasses on your head or no? Also are cleaning wipes for glasses recommended? Thanks
Hi Kingston! Thanks for you questions. As a general rule, try to avoid cleaning your glasses with any solution that isn't designed specifically for glasses. The cleaning wipes work great and will not damage the frame or lens. I wouldn't suggest resting frames on top of your head as it greatly increases the chances of you forgetting they're there resulting in the frames falling off and potentially (likely) getting damaged. This also widens the temples and causes strain at the hinges creating an improper fit the next time you put them on. As Sunglass Rob always says 'when they're not on your face, keep them in the case. That way you won't have to replace!' 😎🔥
Hey Deandre! Most retailers offer a warranty or replacement set of lenses should your lenses scratch. Contact the the place where you purchased said glasses to find out if they're covered. Hope this helps!

That's a great question! When it comes to the lenses, there isn't anything you can do, unfortunately. You just need a good buffing wheel machine to polish and buff the plastic!
