What do you mean 'still'? The quality is good enough to be called a masterpiece for tens of years to come, if not hundreds, because inked art only gets this good, and epic wise, not even the anime, let alone the movie was yet surpassed by anything, and it doesn't even look like it might be any time soon. The scale, the story, the stakes, the spirit, its just impossible levels of epic that i didn't see anywhere, not even close... And i watch a TON of anime.

My ONLY issue with this version of the show was that the final fight didn't have Simon leaving his Lagann and beating the shit out of the Anti-spiral with his bare hands like in the other version.
@@powerpoind Simon's anger and determination shows better in that particular scene though, in my opinion. And the whole crew gets their own scenes, showing that it wasn't just Simon doing EVERYTHING.
Same, I dont like the movie, they save the life of some of the dai gurren team, while was Amazing to see them fight in the movie, for me it took away of the feeling of seeing them die as heroes, also changed a lot of scenes that work well for development or epic moments ( viral evangelization is really bad in the movie and Simon making Rossiu snap out of his depression is awful as well, really go for the anime way more (the final fight was more epic in the movie though)
