  • Home is such a wonderful place to learn and grow. While yes, some of our learning happens in books, a lot of it happens in everyday living.

Congratulations on another little one! What a precious gift!
That skillet was given to me as a gift several years ago. I've seen them at local Amish stores.

Thank you for sharing your homeschooling life with us!! This is so encouraging and lovely to see. 🖤 I've got 5 and 6 year old girls and I also hope the tough baby steps we are making now will bloom into such wonderful blessings. Thanks for inviting us into your home and family life.

You are so welcome! It really is fun when they start developing interests. As they get older and your relationship becomes more of friends, it makes all the exhausting work of the early years worth it!

Hi Sheri. Thank you so much for all your videos, and for sharing... Is really caring! In this video you talk about how great is the reading of "The Wild robot" book, I was wondering, do you happen to have a list of favourite books in your house for all ages? Like, "living books" as it is called in Charlotte mason's education? I have seen in your videos some books, like Charlotte's web, the hunger games (these ones for older kids). Would you share please those books you consider worth having at home for the children? Thank you so much!

      Hi! You are so welcome!
This is a great idea for a video and maybe I' can try to do one like this in the future. I pick a lot of my books from amblesideonline.org. Here is a post I did on my must-have AO reads.

Veritas Press also has good suggestions!
Other than that, I sometimes pick books by word of mouth as well.

Would you be willing to share more about your sourdough and kombucha recipes and routines?

    • @OurLifeHomeschooling
      @OurLifeHomeschooling  6 місяців тому

The kombucha we did for several years in a row, but haven't done it in a while, so I can't remember too much from that.
The sourdough, I use this recipe from farmhouseonboon.com www.farmhouseonboone.com/easy-artisan-sourdough-bread
It uses very 4 simple ingredients. My girls love to bake so over time they've learned how to make it. They feed it beforehand, wait four hours until the starter is bubbly, and then mix the recipe. I helped them in the beginning, but now they do a lot of it on their own. It's taken a while for us all to learn and several tries of us making mistakes, but it's become a norm in our house and if one person starts it, somebody else is able to pick up and finish if needed.

I look forward to your videos every week and it's always a beautiful moment where I find inspiration. Enjoyed hearing your daughter play the piano, it was nice and funny for me as I remember learning the exact same tune when I was a child. Have a blessed week!

Aww, thank you for your kind words! I'm glad to hear these videos inspire you. That's neat that you played the same tune as a child.

We loved the wild robot!! I didn't know it was going to be a movie, we will have to keep an eye out for that one.
Also, I think I've said this on every video but I really appreciate the homeschooling encouragement.

Aww, thank you for taking the time to tell me that. I'm glad to hear that these have encouraged you! Yes, I think the movie is coming out in Sept!

Thank you, Sheri. Homeschool mama (and former homeschool student) 4 ages 3-9. So encouraging! Thankful for your Titus 2 help here. Seeing you on the other end with older kids as well as in the thick of it with littles is really unique, and gives you a very credible example 💛
