Hi guys, I'm German woman and I like your tours. I just wanted to explain that the first glass cup you had in your hand with the handle is a grog glass. Hot tea with rum was drunk from it. The second was the plate in the cupboard with the field workers and you read Gommer, no, that's an old German letter and is an S ... so summer. The house is a hunting lodge which is given to hunters and foresters by the communities. I like to look at your tours. You two and the German adventure buddy are my favorites :) Thanks for the great video. (Y)
Hey Mo, when I was growing up we pretty much lived off the land.We grew our own fruits & vegetables & livestock. If you wanted chicken then you had to go out & kill it, clean it then cook it. We canned all kinds of fruits, berries & vegetables. My dad was a rice farmer so we always had rice & we traded for ground flour to make bread. I still can some things. I enjoy it & it tastes so fresh. We sometimes hunted to get something different to eat. It was a hard life, but I loved it & we were never afraid that something we ate was going to make us sick because it was all fresh. Thanks! 🙋♀️💜🇺🇸
Ich hatte so ein Haus, ich goss Gasloine darauf und zündete es an. Die Nachbarskinder kamen herüber und rösteten Marshmallows darauf. Wir hatten eine großartige alte Zeit.
I think the glasses with handles were for drinking punch (a mix of spirits and fruit juice served in a big bowl at parties). The threads weren't for knitting. They were either sewing or embroidery threads. Love your videos!
Explomo your simply the best and so polite and respectful in every way... I always enjoy watching your finds... And so sorry to hear about the police and you both having to pay so much money... You certainly don't deserve it... Xxxxxx
I too grew up with canned goods, pickles, relish, chow-chow, tomatoes, etc. We also had a huge freezer with gallons of vegetable soup and lots of fish from nets, rabbits and squirrels, and chickens we raised for meat and eggs. We even had fresh water eels and snapping turtles. We dried mushrooms, and onions, and celery leaves, and carrots, and herbs in dehydrators to add to soups. We gathered wild asparagus and poke greens and berries in the wild. Too many kids today don't know where food comes from.

The glass cups are for drinking glühwein and the cowbells you were holding upside down, it's like a gong or a bell, use the roop with the wooden knob and you would make a lot of noice. Was put outside at the frontdoor or if you have a big house in the hallway to let everybody know diner is ready :-)

The Kolpingwerk is an international Catholic social association based in Cologne. He was named after Adolph Kolping, the second president of the journeyman founded by Johann Gregor Breuer in Elberfeld in 1846 and later founded further journeys in Cologne and many other places. In 1850, the first of these associations merged into a federation, which in 1935 was renamed "Kolpingwerk". The Kolpingwerk is currently active in more than 60 countries around the world. With its approximately 450,000 members, which are located in about 5,800 Kolping families worldwide, the Kolpingwerk is one of the major social services of the Catholic Church. The Kolpingwerk in Germany has the greatest importance worldwide due to its history and with a number of 275,349 members. About 26,000 honorary members of the executive board are employed in 2,734 Kolping families. In the Federal Republic of Germany there are 260 Kolpinghäuser, 200 institutions of the Kolping-Bildungswerke and more than 810 public streets and places named "Adolph Kolping".

You do a good job; yes in my youth 60 + years ago, my grandmother made chars of fruits and veggies, we had a whole cellar of goodies to get us over the winter
You are one of the few explorers that gets back stories on these places we appreciate you guys so much for that very rare add so much more to the enjoyment
Hi Maureno & Remon, when you say "We start here in the living." you need to add on the word room to make it living room or another word is lounge. Those cabinets in there were really beautiful, they looked like a lovely couple but with a big family like that you would think that someone would have wanted to live in the house, it's a real shame. Thank you for sharing this home with us, much love. xx💖
You can put the open side of shell and you can hear the ocean that's how you can tell if it's real. Thank you for your adventures love love love them. I will never be able to go to these places. I'm from Texas and these places are beatiful
You guys are doing a swell job - bringing us information and visuals if bygone era - amazingly special and I love that you enjoy it so very much. Sorry you'll got a fine. Stay blessed.
Another nice finding and I’m so very happy to see you both exploring and I’m watching & following you to .... wow that rock bottle is unique I never saw that before either!!!
Thank you for sharing this video. Beautiful house with nice decorations. It is awesome with complete and beautiful dishes and organize things, furnitures inside the house.
Enjoyed the video of this house. So many memories left behind. The kids probably didn't want. Any of the furniture. Are the rest of the belongings. They are probably up in older age. Both of you have a great day.
that sewing machine was a hide away one ( you flipped up the center piece and it had the machine attached close it and you have a table) so it could be used as a table when not in use ..a great space saver for smaller homes of the era
i have to comment as i watch through bcuz i forget at the end , Lol .... sad to hear about the fine you had to pay , but thank God at least you are free. looking forward for your new video meanwhile watching the old ones.XOX
It looked like you were holding the wind chime upside down and the bottle that looked like it had rocks on it probably held brandy or whiskey..something like that.
Hi guys, great video! So many places you show, has so much mold. How do you keep it from happening when you live in the homes? Also, Maureno It's nice that you seem to be able to read and speak different languages. I like when you translate different things to us. You guys do a great job!
Oh very interesting things especially the knitting threads in the basket.. I laughed the naughty things u found guys be safe and waiting for ur next explorations.

I'm 58 years old and I had a friend in college back in the early 1980s who grew up on a farm in New York and she and her mother would preserve fruits and vegetables grown on the farm in jars like that and use them over the winter. The closest grocery store to them was a 45 minute drive, so being self reliant on the farm was a way of life. They only went to the grocery store once a month. They also preserved venison from deer that her father and 6 brothers hunted on the farm.
Hi there! 24:20, it's not gone, is being covered under the table. Handy, because if you weren't sewing you could use it as a working table. 25: 40, the vice room ;) , 22:55, maybe he worked in the woods as a forest policeman (boswachter), that's why he had this official paper from the mare. By the way, the house seems easy to repair. What about the sheds in the backyard? (ilove old bicycles and motorbikes as "barn finds")
Once again another amazing video. The stuffed animals, Wow! The Intricate design in the wood. There must have been a lot of hard work to make this. The pictures of the family left behind really breaks my heart. My Brother is a real Genealogy Buff and seeing these left behind would make him so sad. The Antiques are so Beautiful. The Glasses & Dishware are amazing. Seeing the Graffiti on the walls made me so sad. No respect for those who did that. I really Respect You Both and Your Constant Professionalism and Candor during these well put together videos. And your Charm & Care for all of the Comments you make along the way really make me feel good. Looking Forward to Your Next Incredible & Amazing Find Along Your Journey to Places Unseen. Take Care & Much Love For Health, Safety and Security. Bless your Hearts Too!
Hi guys.. The threads you find that are on small spools are for embroidery and sewing not knitting. Knitting uses a heavier yarn that is rolled into balls from skeins. Love your videos. Try to stay ahead of the police okay?

sad the children or someone in the family does nothing about the memories, photos. I would never leave my parents' memories like that. too sad
I believe that the “70” decoration was from an anniversary. You guys are awesome, I really was upset when I heard that you were arrested.

I think you are probably right as the belt is still hanging down and it looks in good condition.
