- These questions may seem very simple to experienced gardeners, but quite a challenge for people who just started growing peppers. Many people wanted to see my indoor grow space, so I took the opportunity to answers these questions as well. I hope this information will help you with your pepper garden. Thanks for watching!
Flowers dropping could be due to multiple reasons. It's hard to tell because I don't know the condition of your grow, but here are a few simple diagnostics you can do narrow down the problem.
1. Poor pollination due to lack of bees or wind. Try shaking your plants or use an electric toothbrush to vibrate the flowers. You can use Qtip to spread pollen as well.
2. Drastic temperature changes from day to night. It's best to try to keep the temperature constant between 75-80 F.
3. Lack of certain nutrients, such as calcium or magnesium.
4. Too much nitrogen during bloom stage
5. Imbalanced pH
6. It could be due to over watering if you're growing in soil

This guy is the reason I turned my spare bedroom into a grow room with an 8x8 tent. So helpful
i did the same lol :)
Weed is most people's reason .
@@huntergatherer9084 hey now I like weed and peppers

Just pollinated my pepper plant flowers! Wish I knew this sooner, before I lost 15+ flowers but now I know :)
I'm afraid to do it lol! All the flowers may drop off haha
And knowing is half the battle!
G. I. Jooooooooe!!!!
Your pepper passion is infectious. Thank you!
Christopher Cox ikr!
This video is still very relevant. I had no idea I was suppose to shake or agitate the flowers allowing the pollen to be released. I've had a fully blooming plant for the past 2 months and only had 3 to 5 peppers grow. I just used the q tip method, and saw so much pollen fall all over the plant. I'm gonna do this every other day now! Thank you so much, you're a life saver!!
probably one of the most helpful videos on pepper plants I've seen! thanks :)
I love how you explain things straight forward
I died laughing when you started to shake your plant to pollinate it. Look like you were trying to wake it up in the morning.
+KRISTOPHER POWELL LOL wake up, lazy plant!
Get pollinated! or shaken pepper plant syndrome LOL ✌️

I love your grow room. I'm trying some of your hydroponic methods and it's working very well. I will also try to cross pollinating peppers. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! My Cayenne has started to yield so many buds and blooms after the winterize season. It's almost a year old and I'm so happy. Thanks 👍🏽 much for your knowledge and sharing your expertise. I'm going to try propagating. I have good stem I think I can sacrifice for the experiment.
Thank you so much for this because I started grow peppers myself so this was so much help thank you
"just shake it." super helpful, thanks. now i need to figure out if my nutes (GH maxibloom) could use additional cal/mag supplementation...
Ahh!! I’ve had dozens of flowers come in, but only 2 peppers have grown so far. I can’t wait to try these methods out and get this baby going, thanks for the info!
very patient n knowledgeable ! good teacher , thank ya indeed ..
Not going to lie I get supper excited when I see plants like this. Sorry lol this is my first year of growing and it's helped me alot with me depression it's hard for me to get excited about anything lol but something simple like plants does the trick hahaha
You sound like me, Khang. I new nothing about growing anything 5 years ago. Now, I start to grow from seeds and it is hard to throw away any healthy plants so I try to jam as many as I can in a pot. I just love growing vegies plants and others. I used Earth boxes.
Love your videos!
This was SO helpful thank you!
You are so good and you inspire me. So beautiful🌱
Thank you so much for posting this. I am looking to start growing peppers indoors and had a bunch of questions that I couldn't find answers for anywhere else!
Man, your plants are beautiful!
I started 4 bell pepper plants from seed in 16 ounce solo cups as an experiment, 2 in my basement and 2 outside to compare initial growth. Once the experiment was done (they grew about the same) I moved all of them into a 10x20 seedling tray and put them outside and continued to feed them hydroponic nutrient. I had intended to add them to some place in my garden but never did. I did prune them to only have 1 "Y" split and the plants only grew about 18" due to the small cup I assume. However they did produce full size peppers to my amazement. Not many but beautiful full sized bells.
Thank you for showing me how to pollinate my pepper plants and what to do to prevent bud drop. Very clear instructions!
Pepper plant flowers pollinate their self because the flowers have both the male and female parts Lol
Great info, and cool down to earth dude.
Love your videos Khang and just subscribed. Thank you !!
Thank you thank you thank you! You answered all my questions.
Got my very first pepper, ever today! I'm a happy mama. BUT I WANT MORE! Thanks for the info!
Very helpful, thank you!
I like the idea of how you pollinate the plants. I thought it was funny lol the shaking of the plant, but a good and easy way to do it. Thanks
Very nice garden you grow plants lots of different
Thank you, Khang, I'll try the shaking/flicking method.
Great video full of useful tips.
Thank You, I appreciate the information. It helps.
This is very helpful as I am growing chillies indoor, just shake, shake, shake and that'll do the trick 💋

Great Work!
I use a vibrator (personal massager) to pollinate by touching it to the main stalk..just dont let the neighbors see..Works awesome!

Great video mate 👍🏽👍🏽🇬🇧
Thank you for giving me this link. I'm lucky the south side of my living room is all windows, so I bring in all my tropical plants (Minnesota) and all kinds of herb. I also have a garden window where I can put quite a few plants and In the basement I have an area for growing seedling. I understand your problem with so many plants, I'm the same. I'm trying your suggestion for growing some cuttings. Thanks. Nice site.
Great video, thanks.
Thank you so much for the tips! You are amazing!!! 😃
Great advice, thanks from North Yorkshire England!
wow i love all your plants..
THANK YOU! Very helpful!
Thank you for this video Khang.
looks awesome man!
Thanks for the tips! My grow room will be arriving shortly. I can hardly wait to begin growing my own food. I got a larger one than the one you've shown here. I plan to sell some of my microgreens as a second source of income. I'm glad you shared yours today because although it will come with pots I plan on using some of the pots I have on hand to save space and allowing more growing. I'm so excited.
Thank you, I really enjoyed your video!
Love your wonderful videos xx
love your videos!
I love you man, learned so much from you!
Well done sir.
Im a novice, infact ive only ever grown 1 plant before, and that was strawberries (which i didnt do too well on). However, i was given ghost chillis in a tin as a christmas present. Ive been growing my ghost chilli plants since january, and now all 5 plants have got a crazy amount of flowers. Id say about 70% of that dropped, but ive got healthy growing chillies that take up the 30%... recently i noticed that there are more and moee flowers dropping. Thank to you, i was able to narrow ut down. Thank you thank you
Xcellent educational video
Nice setup mate and very informative video. +1
Great stuff
Thank you for great video!! I learn so much from you. 😁
Thanks! going to have to make sure I give my plants bloom nutrients, I have access to Heavy 16 line instead of General Hydroponics, So maybe i'm missing something, but i'll go thew your checklist and i'll see what happens, thanks again.
Thanks For The Great Video It Will Sure Help Me Now
Good information
Thanks for the advises.
Thanks for the info on the ''flowers dropping'' :D
Those pepper plants are amazing. I'm actually growing a chilli plant in an unheated shed in the UK. It has one large white flower and about 7 tiny buds on the top leaves. At the moment it's getting a lot of sun. I have been feeding it tomato feed every 2 days which I'm not sure is too often. I'll have to move it inside in a few weeks as I don't have a greenhouse. I really like your grow box. I have some silver foam insulation boards which I could use for the sides and will probably just buy a cheap striplight for lighting. Anyway great video I'm now off to shake my plant.
Very helpful. Thank you.
The way u explained was really very helpful I live in Singapore n I can hardly see bees.
Thank you I learned a lot!
This was very helpful to me
