I'm still learning myself on my z750 '06 but you can do 1st gear wheelies without the clutch. Just suddenly blip the throttle around 5/6k rpm and lean back/pull your bar. 2nd gear wheelies are harder and here you must use the clutch because the horsepower's or not that great from the z750 engine. Shifting is hard on these bikes since they have a heavy front end. Which makes the bike come down very fast if you close your throttle. But keep trying, learning and filming! Greeting from holland!
glad the video helped! Its not really yanking the throttle at all but you need pop the clutch fairly quickly. and as soon as the front wheel lifts, roll the throttle back like your accelerating hard to lift the wheel higher. i wouldnt try yanking the throttle fully open at any point as it may flip the bike before you can say grilled beans. cheers
a word of advice is at you don´t let you throttle go when you whellie and just use the back brake instead until you find the resting point for you´re motorcycle on one wheel
hey man so long as the wheels coming up just keep practising, your bikes got enough power to bring it up in 2nd even at lower revs (same speed) then carry it further?? just keep practising lol
Thanks mate! Yeah i know what your saying about road surface. Tried a couple of hard launches first to test if it was slippy or not. Didnt seem too bad! Thanks ;-)
Its not bad riding at speed and you'll get used to the weight. I was suprised how light the gsxr750 felt compared to the z750 though. more at low speeds around town etc than anything. Although the written weight is only a few kg's lighter the weight is lower down making it feel much lighter.
You need to get more angle to get it to the second gear, always cover your Back brake with foot. Have you tried powerwheelies? Pull gas and little bit over midrange Pull hard and front should come up then put it to the second gear easily.
I know it's an older video & you may have them down by now but air down your tires to about 15-18 PSI from 35-42PSI You'll have alot more grip & once your up it will be easier to control once at your balance point.
First of all nice vid!! I have a Zed myself and I'm trying to wheelie aswell. Your video helped me a lot but I'm always worried about how much gas I have to give.. Do you really have to yank the throtle or easy on..?
Not bad mate sure you will make good progress as the weeks go by, if a copper caught you do you know what the officer would do? Because even though wheelie's are illegal your on a quite road so im guessing he will just give you verbal warning? Ride Safe! :D
Just keep up with the practice and ul get there! u have the clutch throttle and pull bit sorted. also try and start ur wheelie in 2nd gear just use more revs and clutch
Neither can i really! Especially not well enough to teach someone else to! Just watch other vids on you tube and practice practice practice! Start small and your confidence will build! ;-)
Hey man! I own the same bike. What rev-range do you use when doing a wheelie? The Z750 lacks power in the lower range, but i don´t wanna hit the high range and get suprised when the bike kicks like a 100 pissed of horses.. =/
na bro, iv got a 2010 z750, awesome bike awesome power, yeah they are the heaviest of the mid range naked bikes, but your only talking 10-15kgs, that's not even a full tank of gas,

Respect from amsterdam
does the z750 feel heavy to ride? I'm planning on upgrading my from my 400 drz to the Z750 but i've heard its quite a heavy bike
ma non si alza in 2 di frizione?
comunque sali su di piu con la gomma davanti e vedrai che stai su per piu tempo...

Yes, Power wheelie work excelent in Z750 :)
mattias svensson j
how tall are you and how much do you weight? I'm just wondering about what size of a bike I could manage like you do. Thanks!
AWEOMSE!!!!!!!!!! Loved the sound
u are using the cllutch for wheelie?
You probably need to get the front end higher to shift.

I think its wheelie good that you trying ;-)
haha cheers pal!
im about 5'10" and weigh about 12st. cheers
What the exhaust?
1. Is it in mph or km/h? My z750 @6000 rpms runs around 62 km/h.
2. You just pop the clutch at first gear and then rev a little?
I do! man your good! I also have an Oxford disc lock hence the 2 keys! :-)
Please teach me to wheelie... I can't do them :/
i notice you go on and off the throttle while trying to wheelie give it some balls and it should go up :P imo anyway lol
Buona italiano che, mi piace la pizza, la pasta, peperoni e valentino rossi

I'd just concentrate on bends first ;-)

Did you change and sprockets. I went 1 down 2 up and now it just wants to wheelie on its own lol
