I definitely think KSI is just protecting his investment rather than 'friend', a lot of his 'integrity' lately feels like it's thrown out the window ever since he made Prime with Logan Paul.
I don't blame any of the victims for taking this deal over continuing litigation, Court is a expensive and exhaustive process that doesn't guarantee anything and takes forever. Getting some money back as opposed to continuing the suit is absolutely something I can see happening.
While understandable, it's also a perfect example of how generally across the world solidarity and community is dying, how powerful and wealthy people stay at their position with minimal repercussion and how the status quo can be upheld this easily, even though a majority of the people suffer. If everyone is willing to stand down and see other people lose everything, just for some individual recompensation that doesn't even encompass the entirety of what they deserve, it's quite a comical representation of how systematic and structural injustices are upheld in the world. Or formulated differently: if everyone is willing to eat all the shit they've been fed as long as they get some tissues after to wipe their mouth, no one will stop feeding you shit. So in terms of a "class consciousness" and "solidarity" taking the deal is absolutely abhorrent and "traitorous" and ultimately a step towards the goal the rich and powerful (in this case Logan and his team) want to achieve, doing heinous shit and then cleaning their hands of responsibility and accountability for as little of a cost and repercussion as possible, no justice would be achieved at all. On the other hand if you lost money to cryptozoo and especially if you're not particularly well off, this deal might give you the money you need to support your family and continue your own personal livelihood and you're in a position where ultimately you need the money and you can't risk joining the lawsuit and not getting anything at all, or only several years down the line, not taking the deal would be a risk for your entire family and one you might not be able or willing to take and at the end of the day it's delusional to expect someone to not look out for themselves and their loved ones first and foremost, before worrying about others in their situation. In that case, your choice is very limited and very risky and you shouldn't be to blame that you take the deal to support your family, even though that a. doesn't compensate you fully, b. doesn't force Logan and his team to legally own up for the bullshit he's done (no justice) and c. could risk the litigation for everyone else who is in your shoes and lost money to this scumbag. Especially if this money you "invested" into cryptozoo is significant for you and your family, it might be a deal you think you have to take, and people should be understanding of that and you shouldn't be blamed. That being said if you're rich and well-off and don't need the money from the deal at all and are not financially dependent on anything, I will personally judge you and see you as a selfish, shortsighted asshole that purposefully screws others over and stands in the way of potential "justice" for their own personal shortterm gain, for accepting the deal if you could just not do it and join the ongoing class action lawsuit.
There's a game that's kinda like Crypto Zoo, but it's free and the art is actually made by them! It's a game called ovipets! There are many different types of animals and you breed two of the same animal together to get an egg. Depending on what animal it is, will determine how long it takes to hatch and the hatched animal will have a mashup of the parents mutations. Mutations are stuff like feathered wings, vertical pupils and unihorn (all of these mutations are for frogs). It's basically a game about genetics 'cause each mutation has a % of a chance the hatchling will have if the parent(s) do.
Getting scammed while legitimately hoping for a way to get out of a shitty situation feels like crap. I’ve been there. On top of everything, it’s humiliating as well. I think he's also choosing to pay back in Etherium, because looking at the price of it from when the scam started to when he's paying back, it's essentially if you spent $100 USD at the start of the scam to buy the Etherium to buy the tokens/egg, the refund is something like $12 USD or something.
I love this channel. Stanz is such a positive and chill guy, even with...just everything that's happening in life. I also really like Caanths. Been following this since the mint, and I have to say; I feel so sorry for everyone that was affected by this case. Hopefully with the heat on him now, he will do the right thing and refund the victims. Great video, Stanz!
Developing the game is easy, but attaching it to crypto technology, with blockchain backbone, that interacts with morphing nft’s/unique coin is a completely different level of difficulty. Not to mention the SEC now looking at all crypto as a security, so you are now not just developing a game, you’re building a financial institution, which has to be regulated, and becomes even more complicated. Developing the game is NOT the easier path.
10:31 thats such a shit response from KSI. You shouldnt ever blindly back up friends if u have no clue about anything and clearly have not taken the time to hear the other side. This isnt some drunken squabble between idiots this is millions of dollars of peoples money and the casualness of just sayng "i believe my friend and dont care enough to even do an hours worth of listening to 3 videos to make sure im not on the wrong side of things" is truly just wild and not based but frustratingly ignorant. Itd have been better if he just obstained from even talking about it but i guess his ego wouldnt allow that
Even though I think Logan Paul should refund the tokens I think the logic is pretty good. In the video you mentioned as a counter argument that "they could buy them on game release" but to that I wonder: why even buy in the first place? The comparison to these toy tickets also does not quite hold imo because you got a pizza in the first place. These tokens are nothing else but currency you eventually want to spend on eggs, so why buy them before you buy an egg. Because it is cheaper? Well that is gambling no?

Although I find it a good first step from Logan to even do and say anything at all, I still side with Coffee's points more...
