    很高兴又见到Megan。两小事可以注意一下:1~~不粘锅不要用铁铲子,会损伤涂层,可以用木质的铲子或筷子翻动。2~~用 sharing spoon取用腌菜,比较好保存不会变质。

    我是香港人, 其實那家店做的菜, 都算是很地道的香港菜式, 跟我平常在香港吃的差不多, 可能香港本來就是中西合壁的地方, 所以, 感覺做出來的菜會跟其他地方不一樣吧。有機會的話, 歡迎你們來香港玩! P.S. 買的那些醬油都很地道, 跟我家的廚房裡有的差不多, 李錦記作為香港過百年的品牌, 品質還是不錯的。薑蔥蒜真是中國菜的靈魂, 我媽平常做飯也是加生抽, 老抽去調味的。

      根本不是,她们以为中国的菜式就只有Jay做那几样或去中国时吃那几样,其实香港就是粤菜。中国的菜式多到很多中国人都一辈子没吃过。下次她们回国去试下粤菜吧。

      ​@@icelylee7915認同,Jay也曾經在美國吃粵菜時表示對粵菜不認識,Ari和Megan去過中國一次通常吃Jay煮的就更不用說,肯定沒可能有能力分辨什麼是正宗中國菜,單是粵菜有煎炒煮炸蒸炆燉焗烤燴燻煸連Jay也未必懂,Jay來自安徽省寧國他從小到大主要吃的是徽菜,用詞方面也是問題,有部份源自香港的可以說是香港美食,但粵菜就是粵菜,意思嗰樣嘢係粵菜就應該叫返做粵菜,說成香港菜不倫不類。

    The style of food in this restaurant is more Cantonese type and we eat very often in Hong Kong and around Guangdone area. Not all the Chinese are eating the same style, especially Guangdone people not eating spicy food.

    Maybe all the Chinese food Jay introduced to you are from the north, a bit saltier and very spicy. But what we have in the south, eg. Hong Kong, do look similar to those u had in the restaurant. So u cant say they are not Authentic Chinese food, they are Cantonese food

    the restaurant food are chinese not mixed. They resemble more the home style economic rice dishes that chinese families in south China incl HK will cook at home or eat out at restaurants..These dishes are also regularly eaten by overseas chinese in south east asian countries such as malaysia n singapore

    中國有8大菜系,香港位於南方,海洋氣候。廣州人多以清淡和原味為主。例如,你為梅根煮番茄蛋,我們不會下蒜頭(去青菜的青味),只下蔥花。蒸魚時,才下滾油。因為太油,太濃味會瘡,腸胃吐下瀉。所以Ali說不正宗,只是杰煮的餸菜偏北方。

    不要用口吃過的筷子/匙,直拉接取用腌菜,會使腌菜容易變質。故長輩教用另一個器具,如筷子或匙取出放到碗或碟。亦不要沾上生水,都是容易變壞~

    Those dishes look authentic as Hong Kong style dishes. I’m not sure if all people do this, but I usually eat quite “vegetarian” and “light flavoured”. So they look good to me 😊 The strongest seasoning I use could be sweet chilli powder and black pepper 😂

    Those hong Kong restaurant serves Cantonese food, which is generally suitable for most foreigners. I don't prefer the North Chinese food as I feel that they are oily yet not spicy. I don't eat laoganma either, too oily for me

    我生於及成長於香港,從小就知道不要在飯桌吐骨頭,那是無禮及粗魯的舉止,魚骨在口中可以用筷子夾出,再放在骨碟,而吃鷄時用筷子夾骨,用口把肉扯出再食,其實很簡單,不會給人無禮及不衛生的感覺,當然每見同桌的人吐骨頭亦不會指出,以免對方不快。
    內地的情況我就不知道了,但當我首次在北方食飯見別用碟盛食物進食我有一點不習慣,因自小在外食飯時,食物是放在碗進食,而骨頭等是放在骨碟,但只是習慣不同而已。
    內地的情況與我生活上的認知知不同,有一些是可以了解的,但有一些是難以認同,譬如近看電視劇集,很多用語就有問題,例如:古裝劇中,國內自稱自己家為:我府上,其實府上應指對方的家,自稱為舍下。自稱府上有自大之意!寫劇本的人不懂,導演,監制不懂,可能太年青了。
    知書識禮的慢慢成為過去了!

    那是港式菜不完全是中國菜。港式菜也有蕃茄炒蛋、蒸肉餅或水蛋、魚肉釀豆腐好配飯。菜會用炒或金銀蛋上湯浸菜等。吃飯前偶爾喝快滾或老火湯。看過影片發現和你們做的菜會有點不一樣,所以不能用中國菜去比較。
    腌制小菜用沒用過的筷子夾出來,吃多少夾多少比較好,因為吃過的筷子有口水,會令食物發霉變壞。

    hi jay and ari, I really like watching your life vlog. China has many different cuisines. This is southern Cantonese cuisine. It usually tastes lighter and not too spicy. If you have the chance, I hope you can visit the south of China, such as Guangzhou. Try dishes from other places.This is very popular in Hong Kong and Cantonese style.

    I like a Malaysia brand called “ 田师傅(Tean’s Gourmet). Everything from that brand all tastes really good. But it’s a little bit hard to find it. That’s the sad part for me. 😢

    Jay's cooking is very mainland chinese that tends to be very heavy on flavor. the Cantonese dishes you ordered are not far from hk everyday no frill restaurant or home cooking, the flavour are more subtle. most cantonese dishes want to highlight the original flavours of the fresh ingredients without covering them in spice and sauce. but due to lack of fresh flavourful ingredients in the US, it is difficult to replicate. when I lived in the US I often find US produce lacking in flavour hence requires more condiments to the mix. its not sure what other dishes are on the menu but most people in hk won't order those dishes in a restaurant since they can be easly cooked at home. genuine cantonese restaurant dishes can be really skillful, fine, delicate and difficult to make at home.
