I live in Berlin. Rammstein have a few blocks they own in the city where they have factories, rehearsal spaces, offices, a huge warehouse and the official shop. And the band guys still live in a middle class neighborhood (a very close friend of mine is friends with Till, and can meet Paul doing groceries with his tiny dog often). This is not normal. They are so much down to earth it hurts. And, yet, they are the most important rock band in modern age, in my modest opinion. So, enjoy, because one day it will be over and it will take ages to have again something of this magnitude. And I'm talking worldwide. And, yes, seeing them live is an experience to compare with nothing. It is another level. 5 seconds after the show starts you know every cent of the ticket price was worth

I know about the shop, and i´m planning to visit it, but had no idea about this area. Is it posible to vist the rehearsal spaces?

Well said. I've always loved them because of their down to earth nature and how they never let the fame and money turn them into something else. Always wanted to drink a beer with the guys and shake their hands and thank them for 22 years of epic entertainment.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I’ve never listened to any band that’s come close to them, much less their live shows. I live in America and bought tickets to 2 different shows. They’re in their late 50’s and I know they probably won’t be around too much longer. Paid $600 for a feuer zone ticket (massively overpaid lol) to one of those shows, but I know like you said it’ll be worth ever penny and the experience of a lifetime. I won’t regret it.
The wings were roughly 75kg (110lbs) The fact that he can sustain his vocal quality- in his lowest register, no less- for a six minute song with his core muscle bearing that weight is incredible.
75kg are 165lbs not 110.
Helps when you're healthy
The Angelwings weigh roughly 50 kg, with Fuel and Harness, pretty heavy but 75 kg is a little overreached. The Wings are on Display in the Rammstein Store (Berlin, Hertzstraße 63 )with a lot of other Items from the Show, there is a Point in the Shop where you can be take Pictures standing before them. It is Fun and a Expierence to visit the Store, they have some really high Qualitäty Merchandise .My Cousin worked a few Years ago, at one of the Shows in Berlin (Olympia Stadium) . He says Rammstein are very nice People in Private. GREETINGS from Germany
weight alone isnt much of a measure, remeber they are really big and the further parts of them apply a much higher force than straight up 50kgs on you back due to simple lever physics
75 kg are 165 lbs, not 110. 50 kg are 110 lbs.
It's hard to dance when you're (sometimes sideways) on a tredmill, like he does. But it keeps you in shape.

Keeps him alive. He has a medical condition and has to do cardio so this is his creative way to stay healthy while working.
Till himself develops the pyrotechnics he is a professional pyrotechnician. The flames are produced by the pollen of a plant (bear lobe). The largest producer of these is China and Rammstein buys up about 2/3 of the annual production
The whole band is actually licensed and they all work together to finalize the setup. Seems to be a common misconception that Till has the final word. It's also a misconception that he's the band leader too so it's not really a big deal.

Those wings are really heavy, he hurt his back with them once and now they just suspend him above the stage with them.

That the singer can produce any sound at all as long as the wings are folded back is a miracle. the 60 kg/132 lbs would have to press the air out of his lungs.
And it´s way cooler him lifting up in the air!!

This wing-suit is about 50kg heavy and during this tour Till was even torn up over the stage. But during one festival-Show he has injured his feet when he returned to the ground and from then on the did it on the ground. But this effect was skipped later due to the fact that Till started get problems with his back ... So you can not expect to see it on stage again.
The original wingsuit still exists and is part of the decoration when a temporary Rammstein-Shop that is opening from time to time in Berlin.
The wings will be back this year. At least a lighter version of it.

Kiss, Slipnot, Metallica, Manson and all the others are poor preschoolers compared to a rammstein show. The wings have 104 pound. One side of the wing was broken, therefore there was no smoke. Till was a olympic swimmer and is in good shape, although nearly 10 years after this concert he is almost 60 years old. In today's shows he is with his wings in the air...

They later had a "2.0" of the wings used for some concerts (and the "Deutschland"-video), which includes the legs.

The wings weight about 110 to 120 lbs and yes he was getting back problems plus cuts scratches and bruises..the footage is actually from 2 different concerts..I believe It was recorded mostly in Montreal Canada

idk if someone has answered this, but
does till do his own pyro? yes and no. In their very early days, yes, but there was a massive accident which prompted Till to get certified and the band to hire professionals to rig the pyro
back then (LIFAD tour) Till envisioned but the band has a team of pyrotechs that build and "bring to life" the conception
as many have pointed out, Till is a licenced pyrotechnician. (hence why he gets to set A LOT of shit on fire, he actually knows what hes doing) Plus, to do anything like this in germany, the regulation is extremely strict (you MUST be legally licenced, or have some kind of certified training to work with "unsafe" materials. (or thats my understanding from a german dude I stream with from time to time) the rest have had fire safety training.
and idk how far chicago is for you guys (or any of the 2021 tour stadiums are, assuming theres tickets) its worth it, the 2019 tour persuaded me for 2020 (but there was this thing that happened so it was rescheduled). 2021 sees me driving 5 hours to see Till, Flake, Richard, Christian, Ollie and Paul in June for a date in Cardiff.

Till writes the lyrics, the band write the music.. as for the pyrotechnics Till is a qualified pyrotech and apparently those came about because he suffers from stage fright and thought they would be a good distraction from people looking at him, but then it became a cool thing anyway so they kept it.
In the old live version of this done they use to have a woman dressed as an angel in a cage hanging from the roof singing the female part live

I have read in a metal magazine that the entire construction of the wings (mostly made of steel) is about 45-50 kg. He is strapped into it, because the wings are also equipped to pull him up in the air on strings. Thank you for this reaction! I really like watching those past Engel performances - all are both beautiful and powerful and visuals are breathtaking.
However, live shows with those epic wings are now gone (Rammstein never commented why they decided so). Nowadays "Engel" turned into a special feature on their live shows, that happens just after the main part of the concert. It has now completely different style, and you will be surprised how well this works now. Of course I still miss these beautiful wings - but now it brings some unforgettable experience.
I strongly recommend you this video, shot on the concert last Saturday in Warsaw, Poland - I've been there and it was amazing. This particular video has even bigger emotional load due to heavy rain, that occurred during this song - final effect is just amazing! ♥
