I had a great time on your show man! Thanks for having me!
As a regular viewer of Joel's videos, I really enjoy watching him introduce his friends and colleagues to some supurb international musicians, often for the very first time. I'm dying to see your reaction to LOVEBITES in about 12 hours when he posts the next video, as they are my favourite all time band. They are, in my opinion, one of the most musically talented metal bands in the planet - easily on par with Dream Theatre and Symphony-X.
I just watched your reaction to LOVEBITES, and I have to say that I think Joel didn't pick a very good song to see what this band can do. Here are two recent, live performances that will give you a much better indication of their music and talent.
"Hammer of Wrath": ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.html - Thrash with Power Metal Chorus
"Judgement Day": ua-cam.com/video/yYEUGlFNBKc/v-deo.html - Speed/Power Metal.
At first I thought :
"Is this 'duud' so stoned to even realize what he is seeing/hearing?" 😹
But in the end that kinda feeling flew off the window.
🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙 🎶 💯 💥
Joel: “Are you a metal guy”?
Mayhem Jesus: “I'm definitely a metal guy”.
Pretty sure he would enjoy Romantacide,
7 Days to the Wolves, Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean and for a good time don’t forget I Want my Tears Back!
A good one! J always looks like a proud dad showing this song to his guests. I love it! And very nice guest again!
I think yer man needs to see Nightwish at Buenos Aires 2018 to see what that crowd is like. I want my Tears Back for example.
Yea that show is freaking amazing.
Aye.👍
I concur
I concur
He’s so high he’d think he was reacting to an episode of friends and would be as happy. Love it!
What Mayhem is calling Chamber music is probably referring to the 6/8 - 3/4 time signature that gives it a folk or waltz feel.
Joel, you are smashing these guests out. No complaints here. Darrin seems to be a great guy; I loved his reaction to this track. I can't wait to see more from him.
Nightwish Army South Africa ❤❤❤❤ Amazing ❤. Thank you😊
Hey Joel. Another great guest to introduce to Nightwish. As many hundreds of times I have watched this performance, I still get goosebumps. I am so thankful that my wife, Carol, and I got to see them perform live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco in May, 2022. Amazing performance and a life-long memory. Thank you for bringing new fans to Nightwish.
Floor Jansen: Greatest female metal singer on the planet. Power. Range. Control.
Greatest singer. Any genre man or woman
@@nickscott478 No - she isn't. I assume you haven't heard Dimash Qudaibergen. Watch him sing "S.O.S." and you will understand. ua-cam.com/video/W29zEuZVaxs/v-deo.html
@@nickscott478 That's really silly. She's a jack of all trades but isn't a specialist in any genre so she can't be the best singer in any genre. Fanboys go way over the top.
@@nickscott478 Agree 100% 🙏😊👍❤️
The best in any genre 🙏😊👍❤️
Nightwish done. Now you must present Lovebites to him❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Please check out the one at Buenos Aries.. she'll be wearing a outfit that connects to her wrists if that make sense. She was sick during that performance and she kills at the end. The way she reacts with emmpu you'll understand ghost love score.. I think you will dig it the most
❤ amazing reaction...Floor is the best singer on the planet
She is (in my opinion) the best female metal singer on the planet, but certainly not THE best singer. I don't know who is, but Dimash Qudaibergen might be. Watch this and you will understand. ua-cam.com/video/W29zEuZVaxs/v-deo.html
Nightwish was the headliner in 2013. Also on the bill, just to name a few, were Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Rammstein, and Anthrax
I love this format of bringing your friends on it’s very unique I’d love if you did a double track with the same band , do two different songs. 👍💙
Yeah probably would hv tried something harder for this dude! But he seems really cool... def buzzed out hahaha! Hv u used anything from Hellfest 22? Noise would be sweet from that show! Always enjoy ur stuff Mr. J!!
Yet another convert to Nightwish!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
One new Nightwish fan at a time!!!🤘🎸
Wacken on the bucket list?! Great, but to get tickets you have to hurry, because as soon as the pre-sale for next year starts on the Monday after the festival, the tickets are sold out within a few hours.
100% Zeppelin fan ,But this band live are not from this world Best live band 🤘🤘🤘
I agree and I've seen both live.
YES!! Great reaction...Great guest...👍👍👍
I recommend "Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean" live Buenos Aires 2019 (Nuclear Blast video)
I’m touring with a Nuclear Blast band now…Lucifer
Should have one of your guest do "Master, Passion, Greed" when you want to go hard.
Best band ever
God bless you Joel 🙏😊👍❤️
From afar I first thought that Anthony Kiedis had joined the conversation... 🤪
It is truly good work you do, Joel, and off to another good start with this guest!🤘
Always amusing watching someone nodding their heads in what they expect to be 4/4 time, only for their nodding to fall out of sync with the music 😀
Great reaction. Anoth cool dude legend.
❤❤❤
Hell yeah loving the band and mayhem jesus reaction is on point.
just a reminder; Floor Jansen (the Valkyrie Goddess) stands just a tad under 6-2 in bare feet, and she's wearing 4 to 5 inch heels here......her breath control is supernatural; there've been very few rock singers who can hold a note that long (Ian Gillian, Bruce Dickenson, Britney Slayes, Melody Cristea, Rob Halford)....Nightwish Army, South Carolina, USA.....
I think that she is currently the greatest female metal singer.
Floor is just a bit over 6ft, 183cm. That is 6.004 feet (6ft + 1/20 of an inch). She is tall, but not a giant.
Joel, you need to che k out Crewish, the Nightwish Roadies performing Nightwish songs in their own way to make a living during the kung fu flu pandemic
Roadie question: I always wondered how much of a pain are those stage fans to set up without them messing with the sound of the performance. Is there a special quality in the mic where it doesn't pick up the air movement noises? Just something I always wondered.
Stage mikes are usually cardioids. These are proximity mikes that cancel distant sounds (more or less). For more info, check out "How Do Microphone Polar Patterns Work?" by Audio University, and "EEVblog #605 - Fig.8 & Cardioid Microphone Patterns"
That being said, noise pickup is still a big problem, and it's often the drums that cause the most trouble here. Another problem can be getting the wireless microphones to work in the first place, with all the interference from nearby TV stations and phones in the audience. If the sound crew is not up to the task, you'll be plagued with dropouts (take a look at some of After Forever and ReVamp videos for a shining example of the crew incompetence).
A little detail: the sounds of the audience you hear in the official live videos (clapping, chanting, screaming etc.) do not come from the vocal and instrument mikes. They are recorded on separate mikes and edited in later.
🎉
First of all, my condolences to M.J. for having to work with Chris Brown. The rest of the Trapt don't seem to be quite as....nuts. Second, I completely agree about Wacken. It is meant to be another beast entirely and won't be anything like American festivals. It's also on my bucket list, but I'm gettin' older and I'm not sure I could handle it at this point lol
Seems like a nice guy
🤘😎👍

First!
Hear it all the time.. this band is great ,,, but I never heard of them. Nightwish management is terrible and has been for 2 decades.
But Nightwish ARE big. They sell out stadiums in Europe, and I've even heard them on mainstream rock radio in Australia. They aren't all that well known in the US, but that is a reflection of the US mentality where there is an astounding level of ignorance of anything outside their borders.
@@1970Phoenix NIH (Not Invented Here) is a big thing in Freedomstan.
Man, I can't stand you calling people to react to 'Ghost Love Score'. Nightwish has a huge collection of great songs, but you always play the same song, so it gets annoying to always react to the same song on your channel.
