    Thank you so much. I was able to do that and it works. Now I have two printers one is for pigment ink, and the other one for wireless regular ink. I guess when I want to print with the pigment I have to check the printer I want to used in devices and printers?

    What worked for me with Windows 7 computer:
    Do WPS set up at the printer until it says it is connected.
    Then at the computer go to Settings>>Control Panel>>Hardware and Sound>>>Add a device (NOT Add a printer). After a few moments, it found the printer. I selected it in the box, hit Next and it connected.
    This was after I tried everything in this video and two others and couldn't get it to work those ways.

    It wasn't exactly effortless..but this video did help. I haven't set up a printer in forever and it is so complicated now. Not sure why the CD that was enclosed..well was enclosed. It reads as blank when I tried to run it. Then again I am not very tech savvy. Thank you again for this!

    I get all the way up to, detecting my printer, but it won't detect it.
    but everything else works.
    it says that its connected to the internet, but yet it doesn't show up on my computer that its connected.

    My printer and computer have different access points. My internet company put us on a channel that's faster, but the printer doesn't detect it. Our printer takes at least 30 minutes to print something wirelessly. I can't seem to get it to detect the other access point or enter it manually. Any ideas?

      Hi there! That icon shows when a printer is set as the default printer. You should be able to right-click on the printer and set it as the default. You should then see the green check mark on it. We hope this helps!

    if we do not see a check mark on the printer under devices and printers, what do we do? the printer is saying processing, wait momentarily. but its been a longtime. the print test page is not being printed. how long does this usually take?

      Hi, Rhain! That check mark should indicate which of your printers has been designated as the default. If the check mark isn't there, right click on the icon and click "Set as default."
      Additionally, giving a print command should result in your printer reacting almost immediately. If you're having trouble getting your printer selected as your computer's default, or if your printing isn't reacting to your print command in a timely manner or at all, then you'll want to talk to our PIXMA support team for guidance.     This tutorial does not address the problem I am having with my printer. After changing my router's name and password, the printer WiFi setup does not give the screen for entering the new password, and thus can not access the router. The on-line support is not programmed to enter or address this problem. Do I need to buy a new printer?

      Hi Josuha! As long as you're sure that it's connected, we'd recommend restarting your printer, computer and wireless router and trying again! Also, check that your WiFI strength on the printer is at least 80%. If not, relocating the printer closer to the router should help. We hope this helps!

      Your WiFi must be a 2.4GHz network so that the printer can connect properly. Your printer must also be fairly close to your access point to establish an initial secure connection. If you try these things and still have problems, you'll find all of your support options within your My Canon Account at canon.us/account

    I just got my printer and the quality of the photos is awful! Is there a way I can fix it or change the settings? I bought is specifically for printing photos. I used to have the Canon Pixma MG6320 and it was pretty good.

    Did everything thought I was good untill after selecting the printers name in the drop down NOTHING to help me exept send feedback aweful will have to call a $20 Tech support since my Internet provider and I tried setting it up to print a return lable with NO avail.
    Worse printer ever first wasted brand new twice @ $120 cost in new ink months later only used 4 times max. Now I switched to a new internet provider and it WONT connect even if its saying it did?! Im ready to go find a modern printer with the ability to refill ink!

Once you've got your PIXMA MX922 properly set up on your wireless network, your smartphone should be able to find it by way of the app.

      Hi, Mercedes! Printing photos on your PIXMA MX922 is easy. Make sure you've got genuine Canon photo paper loaded in the rear tray.     Followed this step by step and was going great till I got to the "detected printers list" and the printer is not detected. I've had this printer for years and it's been none stop issues with getting it to work on either of my two computers or my wife's. Printer is connected to network. I could only print from USB at first, then that stopped working. Then on laptop it worked wireless for a little, then only USB to now not at all. And same with wife's computer. Wireless worked for a little, they USB only to now nothing. I'm ready to take this thing in the middle of a field and destroy it like they did in the movie Office Space.

      I've had mine for 9 years, the printer function has been broken for years. I only use it to scan. And if there is no ink in it, it won't scan. Every time I mess with it I get frustrated. It works good as an automatic 'knock everything off your desk' device when the tray suddenly pops open lol.

      @@CanonUSASupport i bought a wire eventually. but you all have to make it more accessible in general. a lot of people cant really understand how to set it up so we would need an expert for that. Just something to bare in mind.

    The "My Image Garden" software with the printer is easily the absolutely worst software I have ever used with any computer, including 90s software. It is almost unfathomably horrific. Not to mention that this printer makes a LOT of noise and sometimes decides to just make noise until finally getting down to do a task, which can be two or three minutes. Doesn't seem like much, but when you are just sitting there watching this junk make noise, 2-3 minutes is a LONG time. There are so many other printers out there, there is no reason at all to buy this MX922, the worst printer I've ever used by very, very far.

      @@CanonUSASupport I got it to work actually , thank you ! I didn't need to the CD ROM or have to finish the driver install. I Uninstalled it and then reinstalled again(tho again, no port created) and when I just drove around all those steps and went straight to connecting the laptop to the printer, it worked

      @@CanonUSASupport thank yo! We just used the push button to connect it , and it worked but now when printing even after changing ink and doing everything the ink wont print. I just switched to a different canon I had and it works great :)

    The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

    Worst printer ever made. Now how do I add a PC to the printer to send scans to, it is not intuitive.

      I agree it wasted brand new $120 cost in new ink months later only used 4 times max. Now I switched to a new internet provider and it WONT connect even if its saying it did?! Im ready to go find a modern printer with the ability to refill ink!

    Video does not address what to do if the printer is NOT detected via wireless network (ie How to set up via Default or IP) so the video is completely and totally worthless.
