I was speaking with a technician the other day who told me that another person who’s close to my age confided in him that when she undergoes Plasmapheresis , it takes her a week to recover and feel better again. For me though, I usually just need the rest of the day and a good nights rest then I’m back to feeling better.
What do you get PLEX for, how often do you get it, how long before you started to feel better, what were your side effects did they ever phase out or do they persist with every treatment , do you have to get it indefinitely, what would happen if you stop
I would like to know the reason why the patient broke out in hives? Did it occur because the blood was donated? Does this occur if there is a autologous blood used? 🤔
As someone who has underwent plasmapheresis their entire life, I’d be happy to answer any questions I can relating to the patient’s perspective!

@@garvintimmann That’s great, some of the best people I know who have become like family to me are the ones who performed PTE on me over the years.
