Bro, Allu Arjun got his fan base in Kerala because of his older movies, it's not because of movies like Pushpa.
It's not the Mass Allu Arjun that people fell in love with in Kerala.
May be for Vijay ,that is true but that's definitely not the case with Allu Arjun.

I am a Kerala boy who doesn't prefer all Allu Arjun movies. Especially his recent movies. Those weren't at my satisfaction level. But I love his energy, action, and dance.
I was crazy when Aarya, happy, and Krishna were watched.
At the same time, I was shocked when Pushpa got an award for best movie.
Is the movie worth such recognition apart from mass entertainment?

We dont feel like it was a dubbed song. That how good it was. This is only happened for allu arjun songs. Rest of other language dubbed song were becomes comedy to hear.

i dont think any body comes ever so close to vijays stardom in kerala. i am not his fan or his movies. but man there is a video of him in trivandrum. he would not get even such reception in TN. Allu definitley has good fan base in kerala. but his popularity during the 2000's were next level. but off late his popularity is a eroded. even pushpa didnt do well. meanwhile the only telugu actor who is famous in TN is Allu Arjun

There is a lot of good Malayalam artists involved in the stardom of Allu Arjun in Kerala during his initial years. Like his Malayalam dubbing artist Jisjoy or the playback singer involved in making all of his initial song hit
You know what in my younger days as a 90's kid, i thought Allu was only a Malayalam Actor. My childhood was filled with his Movies and Songs❤
Malayalis also love Vijay and Surya from Tamil Nadu. There's a Surya vs Vijay fan fight going on in Kerala. Vijay fans love mass masala blockbuster movies. Surya fans love movies with good story, acting etc

I think kerala Audience have some sense of possessiveness over Allu Arjun unlike any other non Malayalam actors or stars( i mean in a positive way). His acceptance is unmatchable and rooted even in remote villages of kerala. He had wide acceptance in family audience throughout kerala. For a certain long period, most of them believed that he was a malayalam actor😂.

It's that early malayalam dubs that connected with keralites well.
I still remember watching allu arjun movie "happy" malayalam dubbed with my family, in an old dvd player & laughing my lungs out..
Also all the old movies are favourite to heart, especially Arya (so far my favourite), krishna, bunny, maybe badrinath..
But that's it i really don't connect with recent allu arjun massy movies that much
Allu Arjun songs and dance have a lot of fans. But other 2-3 films most of his movies tanked in kerala boxoffice
They fell in love with the boy next door vibes of his characters in his previous films not the ones like pushpa.
We used to love him back in the 2010s, but not now. He has become a disaster king now.
This video by Film Companion is totally exaggerated. Yes, Allu Arjun had some craze in Kerala in mid 2000's as some people watched his dubbed movies. But that died down in the last 10 years. Most of his films did not do well in the last decade, other that a modest success of Pushpa
The issue is so called mass movie with larger than life hero’s or anti hero movie can’t place in Kerala cities or villages. If any movies do that Kerala public will not believe that, malayalees know that it is not possible in Kerala due to strict law and order and police present in Kerala. Note that even nowadays hit movie “Avesham” if plot of the movie was in Kerala it will not run. Malayalees can’t relate that story. That’s way most of these kind of Malayalam movies also always placed outside Kerala or in Kerala- Tamil Nadu, Kerala- Karnataka border city or villages
That is the reason mass movies like KGF, Pushpa, Jailer etc runs in Kerala but not similar Malayalam movie
Then what about Mohanlal's mass movie that setted in Kerala it's not about place it's about actors can deliver massy and charmy roles
@@ttthomas1905 there is no Mohanlal movies like Jailer or KGF etc with 100s extras with guns and arms, most of the Lal’s movies are 5 to 10 companions like Narasimham or Pulimurugan. You can see the example why King of Kotta, Double barrel all failed in Karala box office. Even in Lucifer mass actions are placed in Mumbai like climax fights in Mumbai

So there are somany fans for vijay. In our school time we do fanfights. Surya and vijay. Thats the most common names loved by that time period. Allu arjun is the only one striked in our childhood. We watch his movies. Even we did stage performance with allu arjun old songs and moves. His movies are so popular in kerala. He is a Romantic hero of that time.

Allu arjun was big back in the mid 2000s in kerala...its mostly because of his DANCING SKILLS. Malayalam actresses and actors are one of the best when it comes to acting but most of them arent very skilled dancers and allu arjun sort of filled that gap with his movies. Allu arjun is definitely not a very good actor in my opinion, most telugu actors aren't...they overact most of the time. But when it comes to dance they're unstoppable.
