Driving it for last 3 months, i love this car. Interior is stunning
I own a sportage. It looks great, has heaps of tech, is beautifully built, reliable and drives great.
An absolute joke!!! I did a test-drive of Quasqai, VW T-Roc, Mercedes GLA 2016 and Kia Sportage and I can assure you that the Kia rides the most comfortable of the listed. Especially with Quashqai, things were very bad ... every hole and unevenness is felt in the kidneys not only in the back but also in the front. Kia is also very quiet and easy to drive.
I’ve had German cars for a few years but changed to the Kia Sportage 4 petrol. I’m 6”1 and fit in this car no problem, it’s a lovely drive very smooth and a pleasure to own and run.
What about the fuel consumption"?
My father in law went from a BMW X5 to a Sportage and he loves it. Reckons he'll "never buy another overpriced German car again"
I still got my 2006 V6 4WD Kia Sportage.... still strong and reliable!
It's surprising to hear so many negatives about Sportage, i love this car👍
It’s a pretty good looking SUV
I did a review of the Kia Sportage in my channel and I was surprised by how many people loved the Sportage!
Totally agree - I've had mine for 7 years - awesome - no faults or problems. Just traded it for a gt-line s 1.6 turbo petrol can't wait. Best car I ever owned including so called "prestige" brands with N47 self-destructing engines ( the ultimate blowing up machine ).
Liking the laid back rear seats, more cars manufacturers need to take note of this option.
I bought Kia Sportage GT line Turbo Diesel last month and it's one of the best I used with all loaded features. #Stunning look, Sleek and Best mileage (6 litre per 100km) on Sport mode on Free ways. 7 years warranty is BIG plus👏👏👏👏👏
This woman is clearly getting getting back handers from the the vw group!! Not sure what she is going on about the interior?
Kias are really doing well. Their produicts are decent, well-specced, affordable, economical, and they usually handle surprisingly well. All in all, they impress me, and I hope they continue as they are.
The 7 years warranty wins them many customers especially for someone looking for an everyday use car
32k gets you merc
@@familytime4473 but not the 7 yrs warranty.
k Muinde yes it does when you buy extended warranty which I usually do
@@familytime4473 yes, with 0 options and 0 reliability, not even with 7 years waranty.
i’ve got this as a courtesy car while my picanto is in for repairs.. i love how it drives and the interior is lovely, the screen is a lot brighter and more colourful and the speakers sound AMAZING. i just hate driving big cars
I absolutely looooove my Sportage!!! I drive a 2018.
I don't know what she is talking about. I think the interior looks great.
I have to agree. It looks great on the inside to me.
Can't believe she said the interior isn't impressive. Guess if they Don't find fault, they have nothing to say.
LOVE our 2019 EX and 2020 SX turbo Sportages. Rock solid performance from each with ZERO issues! I’ve owned a lot of cars in my 60 plus years including most recently a 2022 CR-V and 2023 Toyota Highlander. Strongly disliked issues with both and decided to add the 2020 to the family. Fell in love with driving my college aged daughters 2019!! The SX turbo is an added bonus on mine. It drives like a European sports car!!
Clearly a biased review, example: "Skoda Karoq better interior than the Sportage" WTF?!
Vw group cars get a mention in nearly every non vw car review. strange that..
Love your reviews but Please can we have a review of which SUVs have Heated Front Windscreens .. promised myself my next car would have to have one... thanks
Great looking suv, despite the negative comments id still buy one an will get one of these for next car, hopefully get the isg4 or the gt line, not fussed if diesel or petrol, just really love the looks inside and out an plenty room too, kia have done a great job with this car 😍👌👍
Es la SUV que más me gusta del segmento medio, yo la tengo desde 2017, muy buen diseño de kia, saludos desde Peru
If you turn off lane assist the steering is so much better. You're only having to make micro adjustments against what the lane assist is doing
I've just test-drove the automatic version and I saw a problem - when you move the gear selector into the "manual" mode, it touches my leg.
The interior is one of the things I liked most about mine, the design is nice, most of the materials are good and it feels very solid. I find VW group cars very dull in comparison but just my opinion.
Somehow ended here, family crossover excitement vid . Moving on. Feel need an XJ220 video or other
Such a nice car to drive and has so much tech for the price. feels extremely premium too
Skoda Karoq better interior than the Sportage?????? What drugs did she take before doing this review???? WTF.
whatcar LOVES Skodas maybe a bit too much but they are great cars just a bit short on standing out
How ? Much will be the monthly installment or buy cash? How much will it be ,? If you buy it cash?
Great feature set, but no memory seats is very disappointing particularly if you regularly have multiple drivers !
Why don’t you test in city area?
Hello, Happy New Year 2020 when it arrives. Can you please Do a review on the Jeep Compass new model please, I'm toying to get this model Sportage automatic or the Jeep Compass 1.4 Multiair 170 Limited petrol. I dont see any up to date uk reviews on the newer compass on here. Many thanks, you'll help out alot whatcar
We don't have a video review of the Compass, however our written review is available here: www.whatcar.com/jeep/compass/4x4/review/n17288
Thanks!
Great review, but I won't buy a diesel in 2020. I will only look at the petrol variants.
It's great to drive , most comfortable car I have driven
Happy new year Rebecca!
I have the 21 Sportage LX and I love it
It's good to see the UK embracing Korean cars. As an Aussie pilot, the car reviewers' preoccupation with hard plastics is truly discombobulating. Good to see the South Korean cars 'kicking goals'.
Im English and got a sportage, there really nice cars to drive and the 7yr warranty is brilliant
Excellent reviews, as always.
Good looking car in and out
Why do reviewers not discus availability of 4 wheel drive, which is essential for those of us who need to go into muddy fields to pursue our hobbies, no not shooting.
"You could also fit two sets of golf clubs but maybe not at the same time" !!! So you can only fit one set of golf clubs then?
🤣
You're not being too enthusiastic about this car, are you? To me it is much more flamboyant than the Karoq or Ateca.
Excellent car, i think she must of had the lane correction switch on when she said about correcting steering on the motorway 😄
She has a new way of leaving a show, simply by not going.
Kia sportage is best reliability wise, engine is quite and performing as well. The design is ok. Interior is better than all rivals.
Quote “You could also fit two sets of golf clubs in here, but perhaps not at the same time’ ???
Why not 13 sets then ?
I've got 1 and the performance is good with great warranty I say it's worth the money..
🏎Kia sportage ♥️
In Egypt...
This review misses the mark and doesn’t reflect my 12 months of Sportage GT Line diesel ownership - “...isn’t great to drive..” for me, your street cred just left the building - I’m calling euro snobbery. IIMHO.
best car. Awsum Driving experience
Beautiful
I just tested it and it's not pleasant ride. My wife was on back seat and really didn't like it. I was really hoping to get this car but i will pass it
Nice!
2021 Kia Sportage review and video was uploaded in Dec 31, 2019 .............................. ??????????????
No banana? happy new year .
I closed the video when I saw the Steering wheel on the right site. Sorry, it's nothing personal.
GT LINE looks great, but Sportage version under this is not to recommend, empty interior, small touch screen difficult to find right buttons, and this I test 185 Hp drink diesel on sport mode. Kia is far to build a SUV modern, Sportage look pretty but is only that, I have a Kuga 2018 model 2 l , so much comfortable and with a big screen with a wheel easy to navigate, and a engine nice in consuming. And not to forget, compact but enough big space everyplace. This Korean car miss something, I find also that the carosseri is like plastic.
One of the best KIA
Peugeot 3008 is a beautiful looking SUV.
Avoid like the plague - my 71 plate has spent the past 6 months in the garage waiting for a cambelt tensioner - massive problem for Kia - I noticed at least 25 cars parked up at our local dealer - save your money and buy the new shape - no comparison
Doug was a nice tone between Rebecca tho. I've somehow lasted three quarters a vid nobody should need watch. Proves what a good actor does
Warrenty 7 years UK, 5 years Canada, 10 years US.
Bought a new Kia Sportage GT Line, 1.6 diesel. After 4,000km, intermittent loss of power. Called Kia. They said it's not normal (well d'uh). Two days later, total loss of power at 130kmh, engine light on, emergency stop on motorway. Kia warranty wanted me to pay for my taxi home (200 euros)....anyway, 1 month later, they still have my car and the problem was the fuel injector, which they don't stock as it is a new car and they have no date for production or delivery. Terrible customer service. They tried to give my family of four a Vauxhall Corsa as a courtesy car when I can't even fit the children's seats in. I can not recommend Kia at all, don't be fooled by the warranty!
Heard this a lot and gearbox probs
@hash king I wish I was...
@hash king maybe so. I'm just giving some personal experience. Simple. That is all.
I love mine!
Just because you dont like anything on the car does not mean its a bad car, this review is biased.
0:18 the plastic already roughed up on this new car?
No its just slightly muddy
That’s my car! ❤️
😃😃😃
In guyana 12million and more for one of that . I love it. #kia
Definitely the Kia Sportage g T line 1.6 diesel
2lt turbo and up please
Yeah even if its just to upset extinction rebellion 🤣🤣🤣🤣
4000km into my brand new Kia Sportage GT Line and it broke down and the dealership can't even give me a date on when I can get it back. Trouble from the first couple 100 Kms. Will never buy one again.
Yeap. Got some issues after 4000 km. Generally I'm disappointed especially when you talk about a car with a tag price of 30k- GT line. Dealer told me that is nothing that they can do as long there is no error stored in the computer.
@@ARO10-3 yeah, exactly! I got my car back after 6 weeks. Fuel injector apparently. 'Common' on this type of Kia even though it was brand new.
@@lewisjohn2597 I'm still not sure what to do. The car is brand new since October 2019. To sell it it would be a good idea but a waste of money. To keep it it would be a constant source of doubt. What if the car will stop accelerate from when I'm doing an overtake? I might kill my family or I could kill somebody. It will be my fault, not Kia, even that they know that they have a issue. Piece of shit. I highly recommend NOT TO BUY this car.
the exhaust gases and particles are very good for families...
So is UV from the sun.
❤👍KIA👍❤
I saw a brand new Hyundai caught fire right in front of us on our way to Vegas. I wouldn’t buy a Kia or Hyundai
Looking good Becca
Really good looking car. Too bad about that weedy engine.
They need to put a 250+ hp engine in it.
@@JGreen444 The 1.6L comes with the optional 275hp, introduced in 2016
Spor/tage or sport/age ?? Tomato tomato
I don't know how I end up in this video and I don't care what is she saying. I just watched to the end...
Watched the car or... 😉
I’ve had my 2017 Sportage since new, It’s been a great car with the exception of the steering. This is the first review I’ve seen that has mentioned it, The constant need to make small inputs to keep the car straight on a motorway is irritating and makes a long journey very uncomfortable. This is a well known problem and I’m amazed that the latest versions are still blighted by it. If you use Motorways regularly I’d look elsewhere.
I’ve bought a Kia Sportage 1.6 diesel g T line lovely car to drive but find the seats on my right leg uncomfortable the stop start doesn’t work since I had it only bought 7 days ago … Took it back to Kia they said it doesn’t come on all the time ?? So I have booked it in for diagnostic check on the battery . Also the steering as the above comments say when on motorway you find yourselves making adjustments that’s not right ??
@@mrjohntitanic1 my steering has improved over time, it’s still not great but a lot better than it was. As far as the stop start goes, It’s only designed to turn off/on when there isn’t too much load on the battery. If you’ve just started the car and have the heated rear window, blower, and all the lights on then it decides the battery would have too much drain on it it without the engine running and therefore it doesn’t stop/start. Mines just clicked 50K miles and it’s been 100% reliable, I’d certainly buy another one.
Wasn't blind spot sensor an obligation by the EU union?
I have to say the kia sportage is the best
You seem more "calm" than usual in this, Rebecca. At least compared to your videos on other channels in the past
I thought that, sounds hungover
She sounds so fed up with life in this video. Probably too much stress in being a new mum with twins nonetheless!
@@TheIceMurder2 so true, must be wiped out!
Hard to understand some of the phrases used. Can't really figure out what your dont like based on facts. Maybe it's a language barrier.
Nice enough car for the price but it does seem to have a major design flaw. It appears to be impossible to drive this vehicle at or below the speed limit. Shame.
The Peugeot 3008 Is the best looking
Jamie Pickles you should check the 2020 2008 it’s nice as well.
It looks ok that's about it not much else going for it .
Glad to see and hear she's changed her presenting skills 😂😂
❤👍👍👍👍
Sweet review! Would there happen to be enough storage room for, let's say, a banana, and enough rear legroom for a person who is only 5-foot-4 and a half?

Liverpoop
Perhaps you'd be better off reviewing supermarket trolleys love.
Listening to news 😏
Best car in its class commentator clueless!
The whole point is to promote European cars
Didn’t you leave to car guru ?
These could be prerecorded videos.
10 years ago I wouldn’t touch one but now try and talk me into any other car.
Michael Grant and thus he was gifted children, and his life knew not sports cars anymore but his back appreciated the practical placing of the isofix points and the space in the boot.
richgl31 I talking bud quality Kia wasn’t well k ow for this back then more of a bargain bin car.
Clear she doesn’t know what she’s talking about
Handsome?
Yet again another review of automatic
Unfortunately majority of these will be motability cars and will end up knackered within the first few miles.
Do the research the wheels are 19 inch and the tyres will cost around £200 each
The diesels and petrol has a particulate filter and if the don't get a good run then clog up causing bad misfires and stuttering.NOT WARRANTY so don't like motorway driving then this car isn't for you.the dealership can cure this buy taking the car up and down the motorway to get it to temp so the engine regenerates at a cost off around £100 per hour which you have to pay for.
Brakes not warranty
Tyres not warranty
Clutch not warranty
Regenerate the engine not warranty
Lol why would consumables be covered on a warranty? 🤦♂️🤦♂️
The hostess outshines the car. Nice job on the review. Rebecca is awesome. The color of the Sportage is very nice but it has Kia written all over it.
imo best looking family SUV is the 2021 Hyundai Tucson 😌
She says sportage funny, kinda Frenchy
