Dude it's cheap for a reason I live in McAllen Texas and it's by far the worst area in the United States. Wow, if this house was built here in Atlanta outside the city, it would be close to 3-4Mill nowadays. A couple years ago GA would be cheaper, TX more expensive.💰💵💰💵😎
Those saying property tax is high, have never lived in California, Arizona, Nevada or Florida. Even if it raised the price to 500k. You couldn't find HALF of that or the amount of land for the price.
This is confirming to me that wifi can read our thoughts. 20 minutes ago I was thinking about a house around $399k with a 2 car garage. I pick up my phone and see this video.
McAllen. A retirement city. The average income there is much less than 50k a year. The only people that can afford houses are people from other cities moving there to retire.
I dont believe these prices. I live in Tx, my parents 2 bed 1 bath starter home (no garage) that was built in the 50s with very much needed repairs is now 250k.... 385k for this house is literally impossible
My house is the size of the small section on the right hand side of the screen (a little bigger) but costs £600,000 pounds ($776,000 US dollars) I live about 25 miles away from London UK. My back yard is 15ft wide and 60ft long. Thats the average house in the uk 800sq ft.
I have a big house in south texas.. on a golf course.. bought it for 234k its worth 389k now.. I work in the oil field.. can't wait to sell it and buy something in the mountains away from people.. be self sufficient self sustainable.. people are losing it.. the country has gone mad..
Wow, that's a bargain. If I sold my modest 4x2 home in Australia and was able to buy this, I'd have around $260K leftover. Then I'd buy a '57 Ford Fairlane skyliner for the garage.
For those of you who don’t know, this home was built on an 4.25 acres of an active Red Sentient Volcano. It erupts every (roughly) 1,575 to 1,675 years. It has been 2,346 years since its last eruption….the price is high IMO

Property taxes high Electricity is so high Minimum wage is like $7.50hr But not a bad price tag at all, meanwhile in San Francisco CA; u get a dog kennel for $1million .
McAllen is a Area where there’s a lot of DHS employees and other federal departments the cost of living is great, but I don’t get it twisted property taxes are insane here there’s a lot of money that has to go onto the infrastructure for all those federal agencies and it shows up lol
Only 385K? I need to start saving 😂
We need to get you a new home then

Ah. Reasonable prices. Keep em coming.
The price is unbelievable. Such a beatiful home. I can only imagine
My parents home in NYC is maybe 1/16th the size of this and worth about 100k more.

That’s 3x bigger than the $300,000 “remodeled” houses in ga😭
In California or Nevada you get a house that size for at least over $1M😐 but in Texas for $300,000!! That’s crazy
No no a house like that in Texas is 3 mil it’s the low because it’s close to the bodder
It’s because it’s a border town
That only gets you a 2 bed room house in the dmv 💀💀
Johnny this is beautiful. Will we burn to death outside if we set foot there in the summer th0ugh?
no, it's too humid for that. maybe melt?
Over here in Europe i just bought a 860 square feet house for 367k… this is unbelievable
Wages in Texas are low and the property taxes are high. Moat people in Texas couldnt afford this even though its cheap.
That's not true. I bet Texas average incomes is what your dreams are made of.

The average salary in Texas is only $51,000 a year. That's what I was making 12 years ago.

Also, this is McAllen, Texas..one of the poorest cities in America. Good luck trying to swing this house if your income is local.
That's a lie, everyone move to the Texas area ASAP
It looks like a model-home, so all the extras will bring it over 500k most likely. 385 k will be the stripped down version .
This would cost $6-$8m+ in Australia. Crazy
People where I live are trying to sale a double wide trailer on three acres of land for 350k💀💀💀💀
This house sold for $401k on July 19 2023 2124 rice Ave McAllen tx
how is my parents own 1 million dollars and here’s a house that is 385k looking better than it

Let's pray that they don't.
Northern Minnesota 225 acres and a 4 bedroom house!
That price would give you a 1400 sq ft addition in Raleigh NC
Try that in northern Virginia, add a 1 in front of the 3.
Yeah, while minimum wage is $10. That’s a multimillion $$ property here in Cali.
Move there now asap
@@kingfx-ru5gf there’s a reason they so cheap.
@@roaram4937 who cares let the state hoppers learn 😂
Minimum wage is actually $7.25.
For that price I would buy the house next door and double up.
I’d expect AT LEAST a 5/BD-4|Bath and 4 garage for that price.
My small condo in Colorado has a tag on it of $260,000 now
That seems like a pretty good bargain
Better view. Here it's just like a dessert

Bring back $100k homes in Texas
“ IF THATS NOT SOLD BY JUNE … ITS MINES😂😂 I
Are you kidding me??? I just paid $959k for 1,193 sq ft here in Florida
Same house in Houston will be $400k extra.
Wish Laredo was still as cheap as McAllen. People here want to sell houses worth 250k in 2020 for 435k today. This would be 600k.
That house would be $2 Mill to $10 Mill in various parts of California
A house like this in Indianapolis would go for over one million dollars!
In Germany this would be realistically 1.5M€
Texas Was Always My Dad's Dream. He Bought A House for 300k Years Ago. Shit's Too Big For 4 People.
It's the fact that my uncle's 2.3 mil flat in Cali can get him something so much better in frickin Texas 🤠
If the location was better this would be a nice home. The house is located in McAllen, Texas and it is a border town. It is right next to Mexico.

Previous owner was Sum Ting Wong.
You can’t look at the outside of a house. Sure it “looks” pretty, but what about the bones?
In San Francisco CA, that is 5 million house minimum.
In Houston this house could easily go for 1.4 million
What’s the square footage though I wonder if it’s tight inside it looks super dope
385k in paris buys you a studio or 1bed of roughly 40 to 50m2

My house in London was more expensive-
nah I'm saving now
Wow ,just wow. A house like this in UK London would need to add another 0 to the figure. Crazy how much of a difference it is across the water..
In Florida that would be 4.5 million and the insurance would drop every year.
You could buy half an apartment for that in Hawaii 😭
Anyone watching this from Florida 🥹
I don’t believe a second this house is for 385k
Oml ! My house was 600k and was like 2/8 of that house, WOW! 😭
The original owner of my house paid $185,000 in 03, now the value is $400,000. Inflation scamming
Taxes for homes in this price range are: $7000 to $7500 annually!!! Not worth it!
Property taxes high

Minimum wage is like $7.50hr

me living in vancouver : 😱
Damn I see why my cousin left California for Nashville… dirt cheap compared to what we pay here.. couldn’t even get an apartment for those prices
1 foot away from the neighbor. I will pass………..
Title should be edited from “$385,000 CASTLE house” to “$385,000 CARTEL house” instead…
Would be 45k if it wasn’t for inflation
Must be a Cartel’s neighborhood …..😂
How can I make the deposit? I'm interested

If you been to McAllen texas you would understand why this house goes for this price.
That’s the price of a one-two bed flat/apartment in the uk
No way this is real, that’s insane compare to what $385,000k gets you in NY
$385k nah! I think someone missed a few numbers to that.

if Walmart built McMansions
I dont think in todays real estate prices, it will be just $385000. I think it will be arround $600000.

385k?! Holy shit my 900sqft home cost more 😢

Here in Ireland a second hand home would cost that money and it’s not even half of the metres of that house 😅
This house would probably cost over 800k just to build.
