When I took it, I was fortunate to have a great question, so I already knew what idioms or old saying I can use without sounding like I was reciting.
Question: I see many students tend to write diaries after class, do you have that habit? (I did it before the boom of social media)
My answer started off with: I... I don't tend to. They say "A picture says a thousand words", right? I argue that a video say a billion more.
After I say the quote, I prompted him to ask me "Why?"
Then I can use my answer steer the conversation to the paparazzi culture. This was an advanced strategy I used because I did rather poorly in writing.
