This is actually a really well acted, emotional scene, despite the overall mediocrity of the franchise.

I thought the same..... in the first moment my thoughts say: Just hug her and tell her you love her..... but in the next moment I could get along with him..... it is a difficult question if you actually planned (or in this case wished) to have kids and one of the two cant.... the art is to stay cool and solve the problem together but I guess less people could because rational love and the instinct isnt the same thing..... after seperating because of studies I cant realize how this would have felt with my childhood princess..... I guess I would have stayed with her :) she knows me for the longest and sees emotion that some people shouldnt..... anyway I guess it was better this way...... I hope that these two figures come together again :)

They sell this as a love story but it is pure trauma, pain, miscommunication, distrust. It everything but a healthy or loving relationship. Both ways. They just had great chemistry and are attached to one another.

As someone who has issues conceiving not wanting kids until later was big for me u til I was told it was going to be hard and I was crushed . I understand where he’s coming from . It’s like someone ripping your choice away even though it’s your body. My husband made me feel better about it but it’s definitely a confusing emotion that sometimes isn’t understood unless you experience it
Never say never there are always options IVF, Surrogacy , Adoption.
Adoption IS NOT a solution for infertility. And IVF doesn't guarantee you a baby.

He said he didn't want them right now, which implies he does want kids down the road
Neither did, but when that choice was taken, reality sets in, she was actually out of order he said he would be fine with a pregnancy, she drops that bombshell, he's disheartened cos they will never have kids and she Is just about herself and makes him feel bad for feeling the same way she does herself, toxic relationship

Kinda ironic that in the last book she IS able to have children after a couple of miscarriages.
It happens. I was told more than once that i may never have children. Now i have a teenage daughter but also more than one miscarriage.
I loved the first film, but they have definitely over done it now.

@@amyadams9970 well to some extent it is. I think it's almost kind of sweet that he says "taken away from us" since it implies that he needs to be with her either way. Of course it's the wrong thing to say, and it hurts her and he could be more supportive, she has every right to be upset about it. However, it doesn't change the fact that it's a normal reaction to knowing that you won't be able to have a child.

I don't understand how Tessa is told she can't have children but in the end she has one and pregnant with another
she was told that she couldnt get pregnant by the doctor and then it worked luckily :) Luckily Hadin stayed with her :)
She was told it would be nearly impossible. I was actually told the same thing more than once since I was a teen.
Now I have a teenage daughter but did also have a miscarriage. So you never know.
