Ok, I've been struggling to come up with a way to do something like this for months! You MUST tell me how you've done it!

Hey dude I really love your channel!
Do you mind if I use screen shots of your space battle CGI in my stopmotions?
I'll give you full credit in the description!

Well done! I need to figure out how to use particles to create something like this for my future films^^ Adding all the lasers in After Effects is a horrible and time consuming job -.-

Well I know you can do this in Cycles with some compositing, but in internal I am not so sure. I just add motion blur to some light emitting objects

Thanks, but as soon as tSII is finished, I'll switch to Maya anyways, so I won't invest any more time into learning blender ;)

LMDigital Movies I was able to pull off such a thing with the compositor as well. The thing I'm still struggling with is to have them die on impact with another object (convex hull) and instantiate an explosion in their place.

LSWStoriesAnimations future blend versions will be implementing particle nodes to create such things as chain reactions, in the meantime baking and doing manual explosion placements is always an alternative ;)

Use a cylinder with an emission value of 20, then in the compositor add a glare node set to fog glow. Should work. Sorry it's kinda late for this response.
