Hi Gracie , nice images and sage advice from a working professional 😀 . I haven’t done a lot of wildlife photography, we don’t have much wildlife apart from seabirds around Auckland and of course none of those amazing coloured birds our neighbours get across the ditch (the Tasman sea) . Of late in most circumstances I’ve starting letting ISO do its own thing (auto) and just focused on the other two legs of the triangle. Having just got Canons RF 100 - 500 and with it pretty much permanently on my R7 ( effectively out to 800mm) I’ve learnt very quickly the folly of not having a shutter speed high enough, even with the amazing image stabilisation. On the other hand I’ve been blown away being able to take close in video of ducks on the other side of a lake when they were virtually invisible to the naked eye. Don’t ask me why I waited till I was retired to get a really long lens , well maybe the $$ 😀
I’m pretty sure that you can change the shutter speed on your phone but it really just depends on your smartphone. Thank you so much for such a great question!! Have a great day!

I’m pretty sure that you can change the shutter speed on your phone but it really just depends on your smartphone.
