    one thing i love about mustang gts are that they are so distinct. you can drive and hook up any car you like but oftentimes some cars drive the same as others. But when you start up a mustang and hear its exhaust you know that sound from far away is a ford v8. The clutch in those cars have that feel that only mustang owners will understand. Even the throw of the shifter and the throttle is only something you can find from a ford v8 ;]

      Mustangs have a distinct sound . I think they sound better than any thing out there , having heard just about every car with exhaust . I'm a mustang guy but have owned an lt1 transam ,which sounded decent but nothing compared to a stang . I can a hear a stang from down the road without even seeing it , and know its a mustang . Once you know what that deep rumble sounds like , you'll never forget it . There have been guys wanting their Camaros to sound like stangs lol .

    • @Azzmelater
      @Azzmelater 8 років тому +2

      Darkangel4880 Exactly. Mustangs regardless of what v8 you drive, it will always have that deep rumble on idle, and an agressive roar every time you hit the gas pedal

    Nice..how much did the wheels and tires set you back. Looking for some new wheels for my 2013 GT with track pack. Car sounds great to man nicely done.

    • @coolstufffordummies2541
      @coolstufffordummies2541 10 років тому +2

      JuergenGDB You can get Forgestars for like $400 a wheel which is pretty cheap considering they're a true one-piece monoblock. I'm thinking about CF5V's myself, in black, 19x9.5 front with 265's or 275's on them & 19x11 rear with 305's.
      You can find some pretty nice Y-rated summer tires (186 mph) for under $300 if you look around. Save a couple hundred on a set of four pretty easily. Falken FK453's and Toyo T1R are both good choices I've found, cheap compared to the " big name" brands, but with roughly the same kind of grip/traction (hint hint). I'm running a pair of 275/40-19 Fk453's on my rear wheels right now (not the correct staggered size with the stock front dimensions but it was an emergency and I needed tires) and the traction is a little better than the stock 255/40 pzeros. Now, it may be because of the wider section, or the tires may just be really good, but it still lets me know the Falkens are in the same ballpark as Pirellis either way. Also, as far as rear tires go, I think the Fk453's come in 305/30-19 and the T1R's come in 305/30-20 so there's a choice of rear wheel diameter there. Gives you some options if you're looking to run some meat out back instead of the usual 285/35 deal.

    • @JuergenGDB
      @JuergenGDB 10 років тому +1

      Awesome thanks for the input CoolStuf. I will definitely be thinking about the Falken Tire... have not decided on the wheel size yet. Keep them 19" or go 20' thinking about really staying with the 19"/ Thanks again and great job on your stang.

    • @coolstufffordummies2541
      @coolstufffordummies2541 10 років тому

      JuergenGDB Yeah I'd personally like to stick with a 19 in the back, my car needs to be lowered before I get 305/30-19's back there though, way too much wheel gap with that size. The stock wheel gap is already pretty large.

    • @JuergenGDB
      @JuergenGDB 10 років тому

      Looks low right now.. LOL I put the Eibach Pro kit on. shocks, springs, sway, just need a panhard set.. to stop wheel hop. I like the look of your exhaust sounds great, myself I put on the Borla ATAK catback system. I think by December I should have the new wheel package, or I may not and keep the 19" track pack wheels I have now, and get the rear diffuser and Shelby wing.

    • @coolstufffordummies2541
      @coolstufffordummies2541 10 років тому

      JuergenGDB This isn't my car in the video lol, my 2013 GT is still stock w/ tires. I was just letting you know that you can find some really nice wheels and tires and not get ripped off too badly. I'm also going for the Borla ATAK catback in the near future, easily the nicest exhaust for the 5.0's if you ask me. How do you like the Eibach pro kit? Do you remember which spring/shock settings you got? That's the kit I was looking at getting, I'd like to have it set up stiffer than a Boss 302.

    • @MrEmpero
      @MrEmpero 9 років тому +12

      You're an idiot, an ls3 would not kill this car, he said it had longtube headers, which are about ~30hp, since he has longtubes, no cats are on the car which is about another 10-15, and a tune, with his setup he's looking at well over 410hp to the wheel, more in the range of 430-440 whp. With a good driver mod and suspension set up he'd kill a bunch of modded camaros and corvettes

      Ranger802004 It aint the engine as that is strong and stout enough to put anyone to shame giving the correct combo, what Ford owners have that GM owners do not have is short gearing for good acceleration

      in this particular case the author is talking about tweaking the stock engine management map with one that is custom. this map holds ignition timings, injection timing, calibrations, engine loads vs rpm, and so on and so forth. you have different kinds of tunes. if you would like to know more about it you can message me in private, i'm more than willing to help.

    • @XtachiX4800
      @XtachiX4800 9 років тому

      ***** the best tune you'll ever get is the dyno tune from any reputable tuner. going for bama tunes will be a bit difficult since they will give you a tune based on what they have done before. if you choose that route, you can data log your tune and send it bama and they will apply the required modifications to the tune, its a long process but the end result will be the same as a dyno tune. bama is a great place to start, but keep in mind that you will have to data log quite a bit in order to eliminate all the flat spots throughout your rpm range. the thing that most people tend to skip is that no 2 engines are the same, one tune may work better in your friends car than in yours despite having the same engine, mileage, year/make. so again in short, dyno tuning (or on the road tuning) is the best. its all up to how you want it done.

      ???

    • @GuytheCarGuy
      @GuytheCarGuy 8 років тому

      In short, waste of money. Long tubes sound nice, but if performance is your goal, shorties on a naturally aspirated application almost always produce more net HP gain. Long tubes and shorties are both better than stock manifolds, but long tubes are really for forced induction these days... or at the very least on an engine with a massive throttle body and fuel delivery upgrades. For example, if you're boosting with a supercharger beneath 15lb on a V-8, shorties tend to evacuate exhaust gases quicker than long tubes... where high boost motors and turbo equipped engines benefit from the long tubes. If you put long tubes on a car that doesn't need them, you just end up spending a lot of extra money to buy and then fit them for 0 gains over a much cheaper and easier to install part.
      Case in point, going by what is listed in this video, if he really only has long tubes and a GT500 axelback, he's probably flowing less power than a stock GT due to the center midpipe and cat configuration causing pressure imbalances that forces the PCM to lean out the mixture. Surely he didn't leave that midpipe in place though since the Mustang's midpipe on the S197 and S550 is the weakest link in the entire car. The computer in the Mustang runs on a self adjusting algorithm. It constantly monitors the tune and will tweak itself over time... unless you use an aggressive tune that disables these features (and unless you're force inducting the car, you don't really want to mess with the tune that deeply). What this means is that if you install a jack-in-box tune from a mail order website and a couple of boxed parts, 30 days later the computer will have slightly adjusted itself towards what it determines to be optimal operating conditions. If you install parts that cause the PCM to detect an adverse irregularity (IE fluctuating back pressure in the case of a mismatched exhaust section), the computer may very well lean out the mixture to attempt to stabilize the backpressure... which kills power and makes cold starting sometimes problematic. I've seen this a lot. I'll just finish by saying I hope he swapped out his midpipe or this is what will happen to his ride... hence my "smh."

    • @devinadams1613
      @devinadams1613 8 років тому

      +Guy Gordon uh dude noooo...

    • @devinadams1613
      @devinadams1613 8 років тому

      +Guy Gordon long tubes are by far the superior header for a n/a 5.0 shorties are for boost...

    • @GuytheCarGuy
      @GuytheCarGuy 8 років тому

      My Aluminator equipped ProCharged Mustang in my profile, for example, is a shorty equipped car because it doesn't benefit from long tubes. Shorties make a little more low end torque, which helps with a ProCharger since all boost comes from mid-high RPM. Now, back in the day when we were using carbs, yeah... go long tubes for that because they benefit greatly from negative pressure draw to aid the exhaust stroke and exhaust scavenging. Modern cars don't benefit as much from this (something a lot of header manufacturers won't readily admit to). The biggest problem in modern muscle cars is the midpipe and catalytic converter segments. If you just swap the header and the axelback, you're still leaving the "consumer grade" parts on the car that are responsible for intentionally choking the car out to meet sound regulations in the European markets (And in California... they're weird out there). Now, when you price compare long tubes to shorties... long tubes are WAY more expensive and cost double or triple to install... depending on if you have to move accessories around. Long tubes may net more HP, but modern cars sit much lower and ground clearance is an issue for most cars... and the performance differential between long and short headers on a modern stock car is generally between 5-10hp. If you don't swap out the mid pipe and go with high flow cats, that long tube on a modern car does -nothing- because the power control module is going to adjust the mixture and set itself back by leaning your mixture.

Usually if I put in a line or two of lyrics from a song, it'll come right up no problem. This song must have been deleted from the Internet or custom made. Sorry, I wanted to know the song too.
