I've written in before. I first saw James on The Chase and it was thrilling. Then one day he appeared on Jeopardy. I said to myself : Gosh, this game is never gonna be the same ! And I was right ! .. not only is he a brilliant guy, he's darn sweet with a subtle personality. He is already donating money to various charities - which is also a lovely thing to see. When interviewed, I admire the way he is completely upfront about his winning techniques on Jeopardy. I think James has brought the Game to its inevitable conclusion. But that is not a bad thing. I love the picture and story, in the paper, of James at 4 years old with his pre-school teacher. They had to make up special math problems for him. He was adorable and he is anything BUT a machine. Perhaps after watching James, people in this country will learn to admire brilliance instead of stupidity. Gambling is fun to watch when it is coupled with a vast knowledge of everything - ( and I've finally learned about the buzzer.) I hope he lands the baseball job that he's looking for - but not until after May 20th ... when he goes back to Jeopardy !
"They may call you The Beast but you look like an underdog to me." Loved watching him dominate The Chase and as soon as I heard he was on Jeopardy started tuning in and am loving the ride.
I can't believe someone would say James is hurting Jeopardy in anyway. I haven't had this much watching Jeopardy since Chuck Forest back in the 80's. I have not missed an episode since James' first one. I usually don't care if I don't see it, but not with James on. I do hope he shatters ALL the records!
bhumanecate jeopardy has made so much money over 35 years. Heck, Alex make around $10 Mil annually. What’s a few hundred thousand to James. Because of James the advertisers are beating down the door to sponsor it
All this strategy would add to nothing if James wasn't just plain old smart. Since he is so smart, this strategy makes him the most exciting Jeopardy champ ever. Ya hear that Ken?
God bless your heart for your mission sharing your blessing to others 🙏🏻😇 There’s a time for everything...IT IS YOUR TIME ... remains humble ..Congratulations 👍👏🏻👏🏻
@@rosezarco6347 He is obviously smart based on his approach to the game and his sports betting (finding and exploiting inefficiencies in the betting market).
Based on the IQs of the people in my circles, I'd peg James above 150 easily. Mine is 140-150 and James even more quickly processes information, analyzes spatial scenarios and solves problems. If I were to pick a number I'd say 160. He's definitely in the top 1% of general intelligence.
I know James talks about how much the buzzer comes into play but because he’s so sharp, it almost doesn’t matter. In many cases he’s the only guy w the right answer
Mostly good interview. I don't understand the point in asking if he can disclose how many episodes he taped though. Of course he can't and probably doesn't want to even if he could. Why would you want to put him on the spot like that or possibly spoil it?
How can they possibly keep the results of James Holzhauer's games a secret? Jeopardy tapes their games far in advance. There is an audience of several hundred people at every taping. Therefore, there are several hundred people who know if he lost or if he is still the champion. In the age of social media, how does Jeopardy keep those people from leaking the results. And don't tell me they signed a non-disclosure agreement. Even if they did, they could create a fake Twitter account and release the results
Someone did leak it. Apparently, he wins either 52 or 55 games... Less than Jennings, but wins more money. The guy is a trivia professional, NOT a professional sports gambler. Search 'holzhauer Rutter' on UA-cam. He's personal friends with former Jeopardy champion and arguably the best player of all time, Brad Rutter and Jeopardy knows that. They hired him to boost ratings before Trebek passes away from cancer.
@@moea.9120 Like most bullshit internet comments, you have left out a ton of details. First of all, where was it leaked? How can you be sure the source was legit? What proof did the person provide? TMZ has nothing about it, nor does any other major news agency. If his results had been leaked, it would be all over the news. Also, the EXACT NUMBER of wins would be known if it was leaked. The fact that you can't even provide the exact number of wins just proves you are another online shithead with no useful info who doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about.

James should be the one who could replace Alex, when Alex can no longer host Jeopardy!. James is bright, articulate, and very photogenic on TV. He is better looking than most of multiple champions.
wtf does his looks have to do with anything? stupidest fucking comment ever, he's smug as hell and he thinks he's better than everyone...you gonna mention his massive underbite? okay then, he's disqualified.
I AGREE WITH JUSTIN, THIS PERSON INTERVIEWING HIM, IS TRYING TO FIND HOW HE DOES IT. THE REASON HE WINS IS BECAUSE HE'S SO SMART. I REALLY LOVE HIM AND WANT HIM TO KICK AZZ AND TAKE NAMES, I MEAN MONEY HONEY. HOPE HE WILL WIN, AND HOPEFULLY DONATE TO CANCER RESEARCH BECAUSE OF ALEX TREBEK.
He showed his one weakness today......He had no idea who Janelle Monae or Little Anthony were.....What is load up the board with Black entertainment questions?
Ken Kennings is going to host Jeopardy but they didn’t say he was going to do it forever. I think they are going to try him out. If James is really smart off the set, then he will set aside a few million and let some real investing expert (not himself) invest that for the long term.
James made Jeopardy so fun to watch, I could have cried when he had his first loss at such a critical point in his run. Thanks for the thrill James.
