Peter now has 2 desert island speakers --- BORRESEN 05 and CUBE NENUPHAR ---- my budget will only allow for the latter -- still very happy! BORRESEN 05 is a very beautiful design and perceived excellence with female voices and symphonic music.
Beautiful combo of female artists - Anette Askvik from Norway and María Nieves Rebolledo from Spain (my blood Country). What a system, what music!!! Spectacular! Anette, very well know, but Maria (Bebe) not so much, so my deep thanks for playing her track.👍🙏
Late to the party, but I am here. Subscribed and gave you a thumbs-up. I would add my voice to others in the comments section - the price is important to any review. Not only is the price important, but I have a "good" idea of the prices and think you are a bit cavalier about costs. My guess, as tested the audio equipment costs somewhere north of one-half of a million dollars ($500,000). The speakers being about half of that cost. In most parts of the country, a half-million dollars will buy a great house in a great neighborhood. Paying that amount for a two channel stereo system is more than the cost of a hobby.
Nice speaker but honestly at this price point i would expect a super speaker to at least cover the full audio band not the 25hz - 50 kHz spec given here.
Absolutely LOVE these.... Borresen are incredible.. Truly remarkable designs. I am anxiously awaiting a chance to meet the designer and listen to these for myself. ... BTW .. Great looking plinths.. Cutting boards?.. any info on those? Thank you!!
I dont get it why to spend so much money on gear and nothing on Room Acoustic... but beside that, i love also the music from Anette Askvik, but why always this minimalistic Music. Why nothing with complex Basslines, fast Drums (for Transient response) or something electronic for the lowend from Trentmøller, Noisia, Apparat, Berner, Metrik, IvyLab... There are also other Genres beside this Jazz Minimalism ;-)
Really wonderful speakers with a sublime tone...Cheers. Wilson XVX could soundstage really well as well or better and likely slams harder or more dynamic but it's a matter if preference....At this price point comprises are minimal!
All their products are sooo expensive that i'm supprized they sell. Ill stick to my old Ruark Excaliburs...30 year old speaker that todays money would be 30/40thousand $£
