Well I’d rather have an animation as I feel there’s more potential of what you can do without being limited by the tech of computer generation or reality, There’s nothing wrong with that as it shows care that goes into a live action show if done well, but I prefer animation as you can make casting easier, show off more scenarios and locations. This is just my opinion though I plan to stick with it, you have your reasons for what you want, I’ll have mine

Yeah, the Master Sword was melted down and molded into the gun. The final strike Link muzzle stamps Gannondorf in the forehead! LMAO!!!
Ganon sounds like Samuel L. Jackson when he says "let's test his resolve".

THAT WAS DOPE. Seriously 3:57 beyond was wow, the acting, pacing, lighting, colour, sound and the story with the triforce!! Yoo Zelda and the "wisdom" part was so fucken sick. That Triforce lore.
I love everything about this I want to see this made into an actual game! I can picture the storyline and gameplay already.
"Modern-day Hyrule was at peace when Ganon's soul takes over the chief of police the moment he touches the triforce that he confiscated in a routine goblin house infestation raid. Ganon now in his new meat puppet (he can jump from person to person with touch and eye contact) he walks into the Mayor's house (King Hyrule's Castle) during Zelda's 18th birthday and kills him in his office when he finds he cannot control the King, Zelda witnesses it through the door when she was on her way to get him so they can cut the cake. She runs downstairs and screams at everyone that she saw the Chief stab her dad in office and he needs help. But Ganon has an alibi and persuades everyone it was actually Zelda who killed the Mayor. He feeds off the doubt of others and hypnotizes them to agree like zombies. Link is the only one who believes her and can see through the deception mist perfectly fine (because he loves her and believes her story 110%). Together with Link the pair now have to prove what happened while also staying out of the police radar. Ganon also summons more monsters and Hyrule becomes more and more dangerous and people are herded into buildings and compounds to stay safe from the rising monster population. This scene is effectively the end of the game but the rest would be liberated the rest of the monsters."
Dude someone make this happen and call me when you do cause I got plenty more ideas and I can also animate.
A Link to the Future!
ArlanKels I don't think that's very accurate to the original series, but ok. Lol
Guys *PLEASE* if you're going to be a villain, never give a speech right when you're winning! *IT NEVER WORKS!*
Clearly Ganon didn't study the art of villainy with our (R.I.P.) Robbie...
Also if you've got the hero lying prone with a knife pointed right at him, don't just stab him in the leg! Actually kill him!
The speech wasn't the problem in this case even though it was a action movie cliche, it was the fact if all the good guys had to do was destroy the tri-force and it was so easily done, why leave it out for anyone to get to it? also ganon should've slit zelda's throat the moment link dropped his gun. p.s what did this have anything to do with the zelda games apart from name dropping and using the tri-force symbol. They could've added some iconic sound affects here and there, also zelda weapons that tie in with the real world abit
Recently got a puppy named it link and I've never yelled: "DROP IT LINK! " so much.
Yes.
So much yes.
I don't want the series to change like this forever, but this has been an interesting idea on my mind for years... especially since the original concept for the series was for the game to blend fantasy/science-fiction more so than we've yet to see.

This video reaffirms what I, a long time Corridor fan, have been thinking lately about Corridor. While they have made massive improvements in almost every area possible when it comes to movie making(like props, VFX effects, production etc), their writing for the most part has not evolved beyond the basic funny, internet action video formula.
Now there are exceptions where they have attempted complex narratives like DayZ, Tether, Lifeline and all the Anime inspired videos but most of their other videos have a very basic narrative. I feel Corridor should either hire a talented writer or improve their own writing skills by doing a month of just narrative focused videos once in a while.
Yeah as much as I like these I wish they made more pieces with a good narrative.
That said honestly heavily narrative videos probably don't do so well, like ROT is imo one of the better pieces they've made recently and it has a very interesting (if a bit basic) narrative. But it didn't do as well as you'd expect.
Fully agreed. We all love you guys, but we don't care for 2 week releases, we care for well written and executed shorts! I get it, money is needed to be made, but justifying high-end production for so-so writing is not the way to go. All and all, this is not hate, this is just a "hopefully they listen" because it has been like this for years. A great example, Video Game Highschool season 1 vs season 3. Anyways, don't let this discourage or be negative, this is just honest feedback and I hope you guys take it to heart! (not even just my comment, it's quite rampant in the comments section)
ROT was great, both in narrative and execution! I noticed it didn't too well either because maybe it had a slow build up. For a UA-cam video people need a quick overview of a longer video before they invest their time in it. They have started doing this mini intro thing in the longer Corridor Crew videos!
I completely agree with you but if you think Lifeline has great dialog writing you need to take a writing class lol. That shit is about as bad as The Flash on CW. Corridor is all about story, action and visual effects. They definitely need to invest in a writer, not for this stuff though. A writer would be WAY to critical for short form content on UA-cam. But for their RED series' and future feature length material, DEFINITELY agree with you.
I really like how Zelda was not a damsel in distress she was actually strong, it was both of them that saved Hyrule not just Link.
I don't know how, but at the closeup helmet shot for Link after his bike is destroyed, I just knew this video was made by Corridor Crew. Very well done as always!
Ganon doesn't turn into cyber mechanical pig robot 4/10
Mr Tentacles, Gannon is the giant pig monster, Gannondorf is the human form

Please corridor, do the world a favor, and turn this into a fully fledged series ...

A.I. Privilege Nah bro that's Ubisoft, this is finna be what the game looks like.
I dont exactly understand how everyone says this isnt Zelda when just about every Zelda game is a variation of "blond hair boy saves princess/girl from big bad".
This video had references from blond hair boy, green armor, horse-like mount, reddish hair bad guy, girl in need of saving, navi backseat partner, triforce, each important character having triforce piece, stasis, and remote bombs
Of course there is a lot of Zelda references but I (its just my opinion) don't feel like it is a modern Zelda, I mean, I am more talking about the ambiance (even if the video is still amazing)
@@ly.kanthrope Funnily enough Miyamoto did wanna make The Legend of Zelda as a scifi series were the Triforce was a set of computer chips.
I think what makes this not too Zelda-like is the guns, the fact that Zelda doesn't look like a princess (she could be the leader of an underground rebellion), there's no magic, sword play, link talks, link is part of some sort of law enforcement organization, the triforce is on top of a building in a box.
It's like the WWZ movie, nothing to do with the og material except the names, a "bomb", and stasis.
This needs to be either a movie or a Netflix series
The guy playing Ganon actually looks like hi, give him the make up and he’ll do great.
which ganon are you referring to because there are a lot of versions of ganon and they all look very different
That 4K quality, ooof is it nice.
4k isn't as great as people say it is.
You can take 1080p footage and make it look better than uHD. The sharpness or the type of camera that is used makes the difference.
Although it's quite difficult, you can even have 720p footage that looks better than HD.
Take a good camera operator and give him a cheap kodak, and give a beginner an expensive and very great camera. The camera operator's gonna take better shots even if the tools he is using have a low resolution.
The big number doesn't always mean that it's better. UHD or 4k (there's like two kinds of 4k, it's a bit confusing) have more pixels, that's it. The screens cost a lot more and videos that are in this resolution are a lot bigger, both in pixel ratio and in Mbits. 1080p is optimal, pretty much everything has that resolution nowadays and it's standard for our machines.
Where 4k truly shines is with computer monitors and editing software. The preview of your video isn't downscaled in quality on a 4k monitor, it's stay 1920x1080 since it's all about pixels. If you shoot a movie in 4k, you can always reframe your shot by cropping it (view it as a way to improve a shot, not in a way to fix a shot), or it can always be useful with vfx, but most of the time everything is rescaled to 2k or 1080p because 4k is a bit too heavy for the machines and people won't see the difference anyways.
See this like fps, there's no need to go above 60fps for a video. the same way you don't need to go above 1080p.
While the production quality was EPIC, the story and the setting doesn't really make sense to me, video felt really random. Although the quality was really good.
Its Zelda in an urban setting. Think of it as a Zelda story that takes in Hyrule’s far future.
yeah i agree, i feel that adrian has a strong attention to detail and this was very well produced, but the story and context felt dull. i feel there was something missing to backup all the macro shots and the slo-mo. I guess that is the nature of working on such a short timeframe/video, you have to jump right into the action or people get bored. thats probably is one of the drawbacks of working with this platform.
I feel like this could have excelled if it was on a larger timeframe.
TriFire For me, when I was trying to get funding for a web series, I remember being told that my first episode script needed to be more "competitive".

This is F***ing AWESOME!!!! I don't think it could become a game. But, it is an AWESOME concept!!! Fantastic job on whomever was involved in making this!!!!
Was this a conscious decision to make Link look like Doom Guy because of the Theory out there? or was it just a coincidence?
I love the Link = Doom Guy theory! it makes for an AWESOME yet tragic twist in the story. After fighting monsters and Gannondorf / Gannon / Dark Beast Gannon etc... for centuries if not eons Link have either given up on reincarnation. Or because Gannon could never win, he cursed link to never die in an attempt to break Link's Spirit. And with Hell it is either just that hell because Gannon gave up and it is the next evil. Or Hell is actually another dimension like in Twilight Princess and it is where Gannon is now. All the "Demons" are just part of the plan to break the Hero's spirit. The plan is once the Hero's spirit is broken Gannon can lift the curse and then defeat Link and take the Triforce from him and Zelda. This is just an idea I just thought of while commenting on this video.
The dude in the white suits voice is amazing!

Well done and I'll always love Corridor but this just felt like generic action video where the main character happened to be named Link and the girl happened to be named Zelda and the villain happened to be named Ganon. Not a thing in this felt like "Zelda" to me. The idea of a modern-day gritty reboot sounds like it could have potential, but they didn't really capitalize on the IP they were using.
They clearly added a few cursory LoZ references to the vid just so they could add Zelda to the title as clickbait for their generic action short film
That's a shame. "Modern Urban Action Movie Plus Magic" is something I've wished was a thing for ages.

We really need a part 2, this was fire
Like many other comments, I was looking for more Zelda cues besides logos. Like when Link took his helmet off he could've had some head gear, like a green bandana or something. And instead of Navi saying "warning, danger present", I was hoping she said "Hey!" And the fall from the bike was a bit underwhelming for the speed of take off on the bike. A slide or roll wouldve been more realistic of a landing. But, I dig the script for the blood drops on the triforce and Ganandorf did really good. Glad to see Adrian's last piece of Corridor work for the year. Hope to see you return my dude.
If somebody made a legend of zelda movie like this, I'd 100% watch it.
I would literally buy tickets and the digital copy of this if this was a real movie
Looks amazing as always, but didn’t feel like Zelda at all. Hardly any of the parallels between the source material and this gritty modern adaption seemed to connect.
But hey, I’m just some guy eating Flamin’ Hot Cheetos in his mum’s basement, what do I know? It’s not like I go out there and take creative risks and make awesome videos with my friends. So good on ya lads. Looking forward to the next project.
That's probably the point. "X but in THE REAL WORLD" movies are rarely anything like their source material.
Can this be like a VGHS web-series but for Corridor?
This short could be expanded into a small short series. The story telling about the city of Hyrule, that "device", it's origins, how it was made, put together, some back story of the bad guys, and the back story of the characters, etc. All of this could be told to tell how they got to this point of the story. It wouldnt be serialized into multi season but a nice beginning, middle, and of course we just saw the ending...There could be some legs here but this video is still just as cool on its own. Well done guys.
@Kamihazii It's fair use, just like this video. Nothing in their video was an asset from the video game.
azgoodaz fair use is a bit tricky though. Usually it's only allowed for review, education and such and only allows a limited amount of copyrighted material in the video. They could easily fall into copyright territory trying to do a series. www.copyright.gov/fair-use/more-info.html

It was sad that Link didn't wear some urban futuristic green hat derivative. And since when does he speak? There was a Triforce symbol on the building at the start and some Triforce related stuff at the end, if it wasn't for that this would have just been any other regular Corridor video. This is the first time on this channel where I am not impressed with the usage of a franchise.
Not really, green armor on the guy playing Link, the rifle had master sword's color pattern, Navi being the name of the Ai on the ear bud, the Stasis rune from breath of the wild on the machine gun guy, the bomb on the chest of the first guy was red with a white skull (the exact same pattern from the iconic explosive barrels from Breath of the wild again), i mean i can keep on going, but you're just going to pick up all the details as a zelda fan.
While it's not the most over the top "zelda themed" production, you can still see the zelda in it.
Wow good job Adrian (and everyone else who brought this one together).
