Guys, I just stumbled on your Channel and have subscribed. As an Australian born in this country, I am very happy that a quality family like yourselves have decided to set up home here. I hope your family find peace and love in this country and when your girls are grandmothers they look back and say ‘Mum and Dad’ did the right thing by us when they moved to Australia. Welcome to Australia and I hope your lives are rich, healthy and happy. Cheers 👍
Thank you so much for joining us 😁😁😁 We can't imagine them not appreciating it - we're sure they will love their holidays to England, but be so grateful for what they have here xx
6:00 I have a 5 minute drive to work, and the mornings with busy traffic when I have to wait 10-15 seconds for an intersection to clear really start to annoy me, so I can understand how relative annoyance to traffic can be!
From the opposite side, an Aussie who lived in London for 3 years, like so many of us, I totally agree with you about the weather and lifestyle. I really noticed in London that most social occasions are indoors and cost money. Whereas in Sydney, on a typical weekend I'd just walk to the beach with a book and a bottle of water. And yeah, BBQs with friends in your backyard or the park is the norm, which is much cheaper and less structured than going out together to a restaurant. Edit: Have you gotten to the stage yet where you get excited for rainy days?
It's certainly easier to have get togethers here. We are absolutely excited for rain now, and never in a million years did we think we'd say that! Also, our favourite season now is winter!! 😂 We are happy for green grass, a full swimming pool and water tanks! 😁
Bright blue beautiful sky’s, that would be a dream plus the scenic views what’s not to love. Less crowds, so much more space, although you may feel safer, don’t become too complacent, still be aware of your surroundings etc as people sometimes think because it’s sunny it means less crime. At the moment driving in London is a total nightmare at the moment.
I'm glad you are enjoying your new property , what if any native animals or birds have you encountered since you moved in . I've only got the usual quarter block but in the last week I've had visits from Kookaburras , Galahs, Sulphur crested cockatoos , Lorikeets a Blue tongue lizard as well as two possums . There's also some big bats that I haven't seen but have heard them flapping around at night . I'm assuming that with the size and location of your new home you would have many encounters with the wildlife . We also have a huge green tree frog which sounds a lot like yours I've named it( Shut up you noisy bastard )but he or she must be deaf because it keeps on singing .
Haha that's a great name 😂😂 There's loads of birds, we're not sure what they all are though - there's kookaburras, a magpie that follows Ben and watches him, some beautiful blue and yellow birds that look like budgies, some birds with really long legs, and some with really long necks, and then heaps of others! We've seen ducks, kangaroos, a snake, a large lizard, green tree frogs, and some tiny frogs too. We heard a bit of a ruccas last night, so maybe there were possums, but it was too dark 😁
Even the rainy days are hot... It's hot-mazing :) Really love the open space :) We learnt the 'house unlocked' thing in 2004 when we first visited before moving. My parents told us you have more chance of a snake using the doors to come in than a person 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Remember the warmer climate and outdoors naturally wants the body to adjust to healthy foods. I imagine there's alot of comfort food in colder climates??
We've left our place unlocked and cars etc in UK, but we were in the countryside. Country life feels safer with less people, less violence etc than in urban areas.
I am an Australian married to an English man from north London we have lived in both England and now Australia. The thing we desperately miss is family in the UK. Ideally if we could have brought all the family with us we would be over the moon.
My partner and my children are duel citizens from birth we live in Newcastle uk, been planning for the move to sydney for a couple of years getting close now.
We don't hear very much how Australia has changed your children's life, It would be good to know how they enjoy themselves. But great to know both of your views keep up the videos.
Enjoying making my way through your videos 👍 I'm taking the ielts exam this week and my visa application is being processed. Hoping to make the move from the UK ASAP 😍
Great to hear how Australia has changed your life, how about your children's lives? How have they adapted. Be good to get a little video of their point of view. We could then show our children aged 13, 10, 7 that us moving to aus is cruelly a good thing.
We do have a video of questions that other kids asked our girls - ua-cam.com/video/JHg85AM5wAM/v-deo.html Our girls are 16, 8 and 7, so hopefully this should be great for your children xx
@@TheBAMFamalam oh I must of missed this video. Dot know how I thought I watched all of them. Thanks alot I will watch this with the children to show them. 👍
@@TheBAMFamalam haha this is one we made earlier lol. Thanks alot I just watched it and I think it will help the children as they all seem very worried about meeting new people and settling in the schools
What a great life! Did you ever imagine that this is how you would be living? Do other family want to join you now? Adopt me! I’ll move down and tend to the alpaca or goat that you’ll need. (Except goats are notorious for escaping most enclosures)
Our dream was to live either in the English countryside, or by the beach in Australia- we seem to have combined the two! Unfortunately, we have not yet convinced other family members to move 😬 Haha consider yourself adopted 😉
with video calls now its not as hard to contact the other side of the world. thats a bonus. as for help, i assume you both work, im sure your work mates/friends you have made, if asked, would help in a flash...cos us aussies are pretty good like that :)
Look you buggers obviously didn't read the fine print on your paperwork. You're not supposed to tell people how good it is here. You're supposed to tell 'em about all the bitey's and stuff so we don't get overrun! lol
I’ve been happily subscribed for a good while. BTW, I watch you from all over the bush in my truck….. which is a real truck (what you call a lorry) all over the country …… I was wondering if your kids had (yet) started to develop their Aussie accent! You pair have no hope, but at least old farts like me can understand you!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for watching, we love that we're travelling the country with you! 😁 People say they have Aussie accents, we can't really hear it - they pronounce some words like us 😬
Err...............not "where we was"..............., its " where we were"...............so bad.............its like those uneducated soccer pundits who always say "them players", where it should be "those players". Sorry to educate you Poms on English grammar and pronunciation but it really is bad. Obviously, you need an Aussie to teach you how to speak English.
omg get a grip! No one is interested in your opinion, if you can't be kind, say nothing. Genuinely, why take the time to post that message? Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Thanks for the video Banfams! People like this are not worth entertaining.
Thank you for watching. We noticed that mistake during the edit - when talking freely to a camera, it’s not the same as when you write something down and can see it and correct it. There are mistakes in every single one of our videos, which is why we do the outtakes, we are happy to laugh at our own expense. As long as something is not massively wrong we do not retake, as we want our videos to be natural and unscripted.
