This video reminded me of my early days ... of excitement at the prospect of building our first home and then having our first child ... those are the days I hold close to my heart. Unfortunately, it all ended at the 35 year mark just when life was suppose to be free and easy ... My memory goes back daily to recall the love that was then ... so hold onto it all ... now and forever! MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND GUIDO and the love that you create.
If you have the choice, I’d definitely go for brass (maybe antiqued) for the faucets etc. I think it’s much more in keeping with the age of the house. Silver makes it look more like a hotel bathroom in my opinion. Which is nice too. Who wouldn’t want the luxurious look of a hotel bathroom at home? Still, I’d chose something more aged and rustic.
@@KylieFlavell Kylie, there's a REALLY great marine quality product made in the USA (non-toxic and non-hazmat), that is used for protecting brass/metal. Its called Protecta-Clear. It's proprietary for the company so you won't find it elsewhere. It's not expensive (relatively), and it works really well. It's used in Maritime ops. reliably on brass/metal all over boats, homes, even for jewelry!
@@KylieFlavell Also, by using antiqued colored brass, you won't have to hide it behind the wall but instead make it a feature thus saving time and money.
One of the most beautiful channel on YT! It is like I am on vacation, far away from stress when I watch your content. I wish you both nothing but joy and happiness!!
For the bathroom I would go brass/bronze for more of the old world feel and appearance. It's just such a classy touch that nods back to history, and when wiped down they glimmer in the light. The uncovered stone walls in the bathroom are so beautiful. As soon as I saw them all uncovered I just felt that light and airy feeling. Wow. Just wow, and people will pay thousands just get their new bathroom to look old like that. What a wonderful blessing.
The stones in the bathroom are SO SPECIAL!! They're part of the history of the building - KEEP THEM. Brass fixtures will offset the darkness of the stone. Beautiful beginnings....
Oh Kylie it's going to beautiful! ❤️ This is what I think I'd do: Separate sinks by each window, giving you a his and hers recessed cabinet already in place and absolutely usefull and flush to thr wall is SO nice. You can keep all your hairstyling irons, dryer, products you want out of the way, hidden but handy (and lest face it, most product packaging one would rather not see) plus hand and face tiwels and wash cloths there. With all the built in storage the wrought iron basin stands are perfect (no need for under sink storage) and with tub and shower on the other side won't look cramped, you'll see a wider floor up to the wall. Between the his and hers cabinets is a space perfect for somr Flavell painterly magic, a wall ornament inspired by ancient Roman baths, or complimenting your tilr choice? A nice woven hamper for used wash cloths in front, or perhaps a ceramic oil pot for that? Guido is right, toilet by the window, lovely. And in the other window a comfortable armchair for nursing, perhaps a wicker one with linnen cushions and seat? Make sure the armrests are good. Andnyou have a small table next to it to put a glass on, a book, your phone and perhaps a lavender scented candle on for night time nursing calmness. Id go with glass separating tub and shower, ie glass on both sided of the shower. As it will be a wide shower I'd either chose 2 parallel showerheads (just that much more luxurious for tandem showers) or mount a half round terracotta planter on one side up high with a nice green tropical plant hanging down. It will get daily dose of humidity and lots of light and look great! I'd choose an unlaquered metal finish to compliment the stone and historic qualities, brass or copperbronze. I'd keep the wall with shelves but would take out a section in the center about 90 cm square and make a drop down diaper changing station, the way old writing cabinets function. Onenor two swing out supports underneath for the table to rest securely on, and you already have 1/3 of the depth inside the shelving unit. I'd tile that square of wall or expose the stone there. Keep diaper hamper and all the diapers, baby products in she shelves and you'll have a lovely space for this ritual which is a very central bonding time, that most babies love. Lots of light from the window, your baby will smell the jasmine too. You could hang linnen all along that cabinet for a calm, soft impression, hiding towels and baby products behind in the simplest way, sometimes simplicity is the most aesthetic approach. I'd go with a simple unbleached color matching the natural materials, but you could match whatever color you add in your painted tiles! It makes sense without curtains in the windows too (which seems unnecessarily fussy). Pointing! Instead of just using regular cement between the rocks, I'd definately tint it like they did historically in Italy when building houses in stone. Any of the earth pigments works well for this, you just mix it in and the difference is HUGE. Just that little bit of terra di Siena, or burnt Siena, raw or burnt umber (so many shades to chose from) it makes it look like it was always there rather than a modern interpretation/renovation. You can pick up some small tubes of oil pain and mix a knifes edge with a cup of cement in clear plastic single use cups and hold them to the wall with the cleaned stone and decide exactly what looks right. Then get the color by just mixing in the dry pigment of that tube of artistspaint. Done in no time and being artistic you'd enjoy it! Those tiles Guido salvaged where great, you two are doing bathroom and kitchen all at once, incredibly brave and arduous! Smart thinking though, bc you'll want as much as possible done once the baby comes. And bathroom especially finished. I think if I were you, I'd save on fancy tiles in the bathroom, and keep it to a minimum, a border somewhere, perhaps a line across the floor to match, not too busy, you'll need the money for other things considering kitchen and all, and that stone is honestly just so beautiful, you dont need much more decor, once you have sinks and fixtures in. Lighting is everything with stone walls so think about that instead, and directing light to the walls for indirect light, with dimmer. That's what I'd do if I were you, but I'm sure whatever choices you make you'll have us drooling over the result in the end, It's just an amazing house! ❤️ Now I'm craving crêpes lol 😂
The glass for the shower is a brilliant idea! Agree with keeping decorated tiles at the very minimum, or not using them at all. Definitely I’d go for the brass. Can’t wait to watch the next video!
when I had my boys I got a chair with a ottoman that glided rather than a rocking chair, it's so much smoother and so nice for a tired mom to put her feet up when nursing or soothing baby, believe me it's so nice!! I didn't have that for my first 2 children. I love how you both work on everything together because you both have good ideas and when you say them you can see you have respect for each other's ideas. sorry this is Grace I am using my son's iPad lol he's not nursing haha
The stone will be fantastic in the bathroom, Kylie and Guido...and yes, I think brass (antique) fixtures would be perfect. I can't help but think that a big stone sink would look great, too. I am a HUGE fan of STONE! Excited for you guys! "See" you next time...
This bathroom is going to be a paradise! I can’t wait to see how beautiful the end result will be!! I could watch these homely videos all day, yours & Guido’s energy is so harmonious💝💝💝
Those stone walls in the bathroom are gorgeous! Having a bath in that bathroom with those double windows and it's views...paradise! Those crepes looked delicious! Kylie, you will be a dream mother and already a perfect, beautiful wife. A real fairy tale! As a greek ptou ptou, haha... to make sure no evil eyes on your lovely life! Love your videos! 🥰
May all your dreams come true. You work so well together and share such beautiful hopes and deserve all you wish for. You are such an inspirational couple and are so cute and precious and do complete one another in so many ways and your blessings are of your own doing. Be as you are and you will always share the blessings you hope and wish for . you are so amazing and beautiful from within as well as the shining aura you give. Everything you share is so appreciated and you always make me smile.
Kylie, when baby comes it will take over the bathroom with all the things it needs. I had an old rocking chair from a neighbour which I recovered and nursed my three kids on it. It still has a place in the house as it brings back fond memories.
I would put the wash basins right in front of the old shelves and then put old mirrors with hinges in front so that both of you have hidden storage behind the wash basins. In any case, GREAT idea with stone walls in the bathroom!
It just occurred to me that after your child is born, as they grow up they will be able to go back and see the story of their parents and their home. How nice is that, what a gift!
Love your vlogs Kylie. I somehow almost feel like I’m living your dream with you and Guido. That’s a real testament to your talent and your lovely, and warm personalities. You and Guido make a lovely couple. Watching from PA, USA.
Yes, brass for the fixtures. With a white ceiling and two windows the light colored stones walls will look fabulous. This is like watching a fairytale. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. 🥰
Stone, stone stone. It is so beautiful with your view. Anyone who has done some renovation knows exactly how you feel. It is so easy to get ahead of yourself. As far as a nursery, a baby is fine in a basinet for a few months, in mom and dad's room. It is all so exciting!
I am absolutely in love with the stone walls of your bathroom, Kylie. You look more beautiful every day. I agree with you about Guido’s hair. Thank you for the sweet, kind and beautiful videos.
There is something about the stone look in a bathroom, maybe it’s because it reminds me a bit of cave, cool, calm, and serene. I can’t wait to see the end result!
The space in the middle is perfect for a portrait..or a gorgeous painting...in the middle of the 2 sinks.. yes, on the comfy chair..for moma and the new little bambino♡... yes, the haircut is very nice. linens and cotton diapers and cloths for bambino.. yes, pool colour of Guidos shirt...LOVE all great shopping places... stay healthy..great drone shots of property...♡
Spettacolo! 👍🏼❤️ Such great progress! The aesthetic of incorporating the uncovered stone into your design is so beautiful and so respectful of the history and architecture of the building. PS- Encourage Gianluca to sing for sure. 👍🏼🇮🇹😅
I know this is a year or two after all these things happened, but I am loving these videos and the wonderful creativity and detail you have oured into this production. It seems timeless. Thank you for your dedication and professional production of this series.
Absolutely love the exposed stone Kylie. Your space is going to be beautiful and so tranquil for you and baby. I hope it is finished before baby arrives. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤️
Enjoyed this video so much. After making the stone fruit cake again last night for my 78th birthday today, I just may make the newest cake next. I hope you get some cooler weather soon and can relax now that your parents are back to bring some conclusion to all those unfinished projects. Keep smiling Kylie. Guido, you are such a sweet husband and help mate. Take good care.
This is my favorite video! I love the bathroom and your ideas are amazing. I love seeing how easy you two make decisions together. I really like having the towels in cabinets in the bathroom. I have to agree, nothing like being all wet and you need towels in another room. Your adventures are wonderful. I am borrowing some of your ideas for my house. The bathroom in the Taverna needs a make over. I just found my beautiful wooden toilet seat, and I roamed around vintage places for an old mirror and an antique dresser I can use with a sink. I plan on having new tiles in my shower and the bathroom walls. . Your videos give me such inspiration. Thank you so much. You look amazing. So tanned and healthy and pregnancy suits you. Guido looks like he is really enjoying this adventure as well. I do like using antique brass fittings and pastel or ecru painted cabinets to hold your towels and bath items. I love your idea of glass doors on those cabinets. It is going to be stunning. Can't wait to see.
Your bathroom creation is a true inspiration to follow along with. When you exposed the stones it revealed an organic and natural design of a visual gem. Here is the inspired vision that I got as I was watching and had to stop the video to quickly share with you. The vanity wall: 1) 2 separate sinks next to each window 2) Use the existing alcoves to place matching glass armoires as your individual “his and hers” storage for your personal items (in nice looking jars and containers, bowls, baskets, etc.) and your towels 3) in the area between the armoires create a “candle wall” with beautiful iron candle holders mounted on the stones in various shapes and sizes (collection). The current closet wall: Use the alcove as your cozy lounge area by removing the closet and utilizing it to place your “sofa” as Guido envisions. This way it won’t protrude too far into the space and you get the lovely view out the window when you are nursing the baby. Bathtub/Shower wall: Build a new dividing wall that is shared between the tub and the shower to locate all your plumbing pipes and fixtures. One side is for the shower and the other for the tub. This will keep the beautiful stone wall free and open without plumbing fixtures and hopefully is less labor not having to drill and chip away the stones. Thank you for continuing to share your inspired life with us. Many blessings for your family and your baby. Sonja
Your such a sweet and beautiful couple. Your home is stunning. Congratulations to the both of you !! You guys will be amazing parents. Thanks for sharing your home and family with us. Love all your videos. Watching and supporting from Auburn, Alabama.
How lovely that stone wall is going to look in your bathroom - it's going to be stunning - what a lovely surprise to find this behind the plaster. Looking forward to the changes, in your beautiful home. I think you are wise, to not worry about the nursery right now. Realistically at the start, you will have the baby with you all the time - it's just part of the bonding process and it's so much easier. The nursery can wait! Kitchens and bathrooms come first for sure. Btw - Tell Gianluca, there is an audience ready to hear him sing!
What we want to tell you that you and Guido are amazing....is impressionnant Guido know to do all ..wow ..congratulations...and lots of hugs from Montreal👏👍😀🍁🍁🍁
It is so gratifying as a viewer to watch the progress each day. The view from your windows is stunning. Do keep the stone walls which are in keeping with the natural farmhouse style. In fact, the view from your windows juxtaposed with the rustic texture of the walls is perfect. Can’t wait to see all of the fixtures and fittings as you bring them all together. We are all living vicariously through this renovation journey!
It's going to be a beautiful space! The light and the peaceful feeling comes through your camera. Can't wait to see the end result! I know it takes alot work to get to the peaceful feeling, but you are getting there!
Watching each and everyone of your videos is absolutely pure relaxation to me just feel good ,everything is pure bless!!Im so happy gif you and Guido and I’m just over the moon knowing what wonderful parents you will bd and how lucky your son will b Ed to have you both!! Youf house is a dream, the bathroom will be amazing!!
Thank you for lifting my spirit this morning. Your beautiful videos always make me smile. I'd go with the brass fixtures with that beautiful rustic stone. Also, the tile in my opinion should be a light and airy design so it doesn't fight with the stone. I love your joyfulness Kylie. It's an inspiration.
Oh the crepes, reminds me of my dad And the horses! They are so beautiful Well this bathroom will be a stunner! I'm excited for you both I agree the bathroom and bedroom will be a perfect refuge for baby and you Thank you ❤️
you will never regret putting in the larger bathtub. Vintage tubs are lovely but are not practical. I remodeled with a huge bathtub everyone ttold me would not be used, and I use it at least 4 times per week, as does my husband. So relaxing. I would live in it if I could. And congrats on baby and this beautiful home you are creating. Congratulaziioni!
Oh Kylie Darlin 🌟. I’m SO excited for you and this FABULOUS bagno❣️. I feel like you’ve discovered TREASURE with those BEAUTIFUL stone walls!!! I’m so happy you decided to keep them🧡❤️💛
I have been following for years ,I just adore you and so happy for your pregnancy you are having a boy I just know!! Your always in my prayers you are such a beautiful soul ,I feel your a old soul!! Bless you and your husband baby Guido 👶!!!
It’s such a joy to see how Guido smiles at you! You two have a great love. I’m really enjoying watching the progress of your renovations. The bathroom will be gorgeous with the stone, blue and white tiles, all the natural light, and those beautiful views.
Ooh I would absolutely have the stone walls front and back. It has great natural light and at night with the rigt lighting.... id never want to leave it! :-) and I love the idea of bronze taps! ♡♡♡
That was such a delightful episode to watch. The stone was is a brilliant discovery and will add so much beauty to your bathroom. This will be the best bathroom renovation you’ve done yet, can’t wait to see the beautiful finishes you and Guido choose.
Oh Kylie… it’s going to be so beautiful! I too love the stone walls and have had 2 homes in France where we had bare stone walls incorporated into our rooms, so I totally agree with your choices. I laughed when I saw your lists because I do exactly the same thing and have been making lists like those for decades! I’ve got lists right now with all the things I need to purchase to finish off our new little home in Tuscany. Your gardens are heavenly and it’s great to see you enjoying them without too much discomfort … last video you looked so uncomfortable from the pollens. Sending lots of love your way! Take good care … you are glowing! 🤗♥️
Amazing! I was imagining how the wall will look with stone before the stone walls were revealed. Glad you decided to go with the stone wall. It will look calming and earthy. Good job to you and Guido!
You are so lucky to have so many places selling materiali antichi upcycled in your area :) We have to drive hours to find one where we are in western Liguria ... The bathroom is going too look amazing !
I love love the stone in the bathroom,if you think it’s to dark later on,you can do a light lime-wash on the stone! as a builders wife, you don’t usually have the toilet 🚽 where the door opening is ! 🥰
The stone is absolutely stunning it’s a great choice, It’s going to be stunning for you and your family! Wishing you many blessings and luck on your renovations and health!
The empty space between your bathroom cupboards is an excellent space to feature a romantic Italian tall sculpture which will definitely draw the eye. I do love the idea of the sinks near each window to maximize your stunning views. Please don’t remove or block your cupboards. Great idea to restore the cupboard doors toward a rustic original look. Your bath will be gorgeous with either silver or bronze. Have you considered a faint mural on the bidet wall?
you're all doing a buenísima job! I'll be sending you loving vibes from the states that all goes well over the next few weeks. The exposed brick is gorgeous, especially at the bath/shower. You have a important job, Kylie, making all those calls and negotiating with those vendors. It's actually happening....and with every step, you will see it transform into that perfect, tranquil, spirit-nourishing space that you know you'll need as a new mother. You're right to focus here instead of nursery....that will come later. Till next time....🤟
So excited to watch the transformation over the next few months. Your bathroom and bedroom are going to be spectacular. Now that the stone walls are exposed I would choose the more rustic finish of brass for the fittings. I hope that this work will be completed in time for the baby to arrive so you can relax and enjoy.
I can't decide which is more beautiful, the vision of the bathroom, the crepes, or Kylie's pregnancy glow. I choose Kylie, she's looking radiant! 🥰

The exposed stone is fabulous!
Still plenty light with some white walls and ceilings.
Your bathroom creation is a true inspiration to follow along with. When you exposed the stones it revealed an organic and natural design of a visual gem. Here is the inspired vision that I got as I was watching and had to stop the video to quickly share with you.
The vanity wall:
1) 2 separate sinks next to each window
2) Use the existing alcoves to place matching glass armoires as your individual “his and hers” storage for your personal items (in nice looking jars and containers, bowls, baskets, etc.) and your towels
3) in the area between the armoires create a “candle wall” with beautiful iron candle holders mounted on the stones in various shapes and sizes (collection).
The current closet wall:
Use the alcove as your cozy lounge area by removing the closet and utilizing it to place your “sofa” as Guido envisions. This way it won’t protrude too far into the space and you get the lovely view out the window when you are nursing the baby.
Bathtub/Shower wall:
Build a new dividing wall that is shared between the tub and the shower to locate all your plumbing pipes and fixtures. One side is for the shower and the other for the tub. This will keep the beautiful stone wall free and open without plumbing fixtures and hopefully is less labor not having to drill and chip away the stones.
Thank you for continuing to share your inspired life with us.
Many blessings for your family and your baby.
Sonja
I can’t wait to see this bathroom finished! What an incredible room!

Indeed!! Stone accent walls would look great!!
The stone walls are so beautiful!!! And all the flowers- especially the poppies!
The bathroom is going to be amazing! Can’t wait to see the progress ❤️
The exposed stone looks great ! The crepes looked amazing also !
Beautiful surroundings enhanced by you and Guido.
I love being able to see and feel the stone. So many hands touched it and it would seem a shame to hide the beautiful warm color!!
Such a million dollar view! So breathtaking every time I see it.
Kylie you are so beautiful. Inside and out. Couldn’t say that enough. I am so excited for you guys. Y’all will be great parents. God bless you all.
Building a house while building a life.
So poetic.
The exposed stone is lovely!
What we want to tell you that you and Guido are amazing....is impressionnant Guido know to do all ..wow ..congratulations...and lots of hugs from Montreal👏👍😀🍁🍁🍁
I would definitely go with the brass fixtures! Love the stone walls!
It’s looks like a beautiful design and it will be a wonderful place for a family. ♥️
It's going to be a beautiful space! The light and the peaceful feeling comes through your camera. Can't wait to see the end result! I know it takes alot work to get to the peaceful feeling, but you are getting there!

Youf house is a dream, the bathroom will be amazing!!
So exciting to be on the journey with you guys. I do look forward to Sunday. Plus, the baby bump is growing nicely.
One of the best UA-cam Channels!
Good on you leaving the stone walls so beautiful
Oh the crepes, reminds me of my dad
And the horses! They are so beautiful
Well this bathroom will be a stunner!
I'm excited for you both
I agree the bathroom and bedroom will be a perfect refuge for baby and you
Thank you ❤️
you will never regret putting in the larger bathtub.
I’m so happy you decided to keep them🧡❤️💛
I just love your bath ritual sooo much!!!! How romantic ❤️🥰

The stone looks beautiful!
Amazing episode, greetings
LOVE LOVE LOVE the stone😀😀😀
I love his haircut!.....and very exciting stuff!
Amazing! I was imagining how the wall will look with stone before the stone walls were revealed. Glad you decided to go with the stone wall. It will look calming and earthy. Good job to you and Guido!
No words can really describe what a special person you are Kylie!! There’s a beautiful light in you that can light the sky! 🌟
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You are so lucky to have so many places selling materiali antichi upcycled in your area :) We have to drive hours to find one where we are in western Liguria ...
The bathroom is going too look amazing !
I love love the stone in the bathroom,if you think it’s to dark later on,you can do a light lime-wash on the stone!
as a builders wife, you don’t usually have the toilet 🚽 where the door opening is !
🥰
The stone is absolutely stunning it’s a great choice, It’s going to be stunning for you and your family! Wishing you many blessings and luck on your renovations and health!
Those stone walls are a treasure. Beautiful.
Love the copper bronze for taps!
2 sinks are invaluable, plus between the windows is perfect
you're all doing a buenísima job! Till next time....🤟
I love the stone walls♥
So excited to watch the transformation over the next few months. Your bathroom and bedroom are going to be spectacular. Now that the stone walls are exposed I would choose the more rustic finish of brass for the fittings. I hope that this work will be completed in time for the baby to arrive so you can relax and enjoy.
I cant get enough of your renovating episodes! More more more pleazze ;)
Excellent work all of you! Your looking radiant Kylie
