As a monitor xhair enthusiast myself on many games, I do think this is very unfair and the only reason you should promote monitor xhairs is either to defend yourself from hackusations or raise awareness to the devs so they actually give you a dot say with advanced or above advanced, which would level the playing field.
It is a slippery slope because from the user's perspective it is easily comparable to a higher monitor refresh rate which also gives an advantage, one could argue that he has no reason to not use his monitor to it's full potential, the only difference is that the devs actually can control if there is a dot or not when hip firing.
SCUM devs already stated they disapprove of monitor xhairs but cannot enforce it, they should take steps towards making it obsolete, since 99% of pvp players use monitor xhairs.
I made the video to bring awareness to the community about how PvP players hit crazy hip shots but also as a way to defend myself as well from the constant hackusations lol. I personally feel like the use of crosshairs will not go away anytime soon but if it gets balanced somehow the community will adapt.
3rd party software is cheating.
It depends. If the software doesn't do anything except for providing a crosshair then it's fine, for balancing between the players who can use monitor crosshair features and those who can't.

@@STyx2909 Let's be real, those that have a monitor crosshair, will use it, especially when playing PvP. So that software option enables a better balance between different levels of hardware capabilities and provides players, that don't have a monitor with built-in crosshair an option to catch up without buying a new monitor.
I agree, the software version of the crosshair levels the playing field for all players
It depends on what software you are referring two but in regards to a crosshair software I do not consider this cheating because like I said in my video all you have to do is mark the center of your screen with a marker and tape because no one can control that so the software just make the playing field even for everyone if they utilize it

be a little bit careful with some random or unmaintained crosshair software as you might end up getting banned by EAC.
Yes, that is why everyone needs to do their own research to know which is the best crosshair software to utilize

In Order to make a balance to this game for All players, the dev need to make an option that you wanna using crosshair or not
It's not really fair if someone use crosshair coz they know the software or has it in the monitor with someone with know nothing like me, even if I know that, I won't use another things that the game isn't provided

using the hip shot dot isn't hacking but it is pretty lame and definitely in the realm of hacks
