Littler playing like that can make the other persons average slightly better cause of lack of double attempts / setting up doubles with lower scores! Still pretty mental though
I think the thing with Littler is that, even if he's wiping out opponents in the first round, they can still look at the bigger picture which is that the more successful he is in his youth, the more people he'll bring to the sport and thus more money which will enrich them as well. It's a lose-win situation for them.
It's clear Humphries thinks the same way too whenever he talks about Littler... a rising tide lifts all boats, prize money will rise, sponsorship money probably even moreso (especially with things like the possible Bullseye revival). Every legend needs a great rival... if Littler is the new a Taylor then the competition is to be the new RvB, & that's no bad thing.
Wright and Anderson are coming to an end, but I feel MVG and Price can have resurgences. It's nice to see a lot of good young players finally breaking through though.
The big boys don’t seem to be that bothered with a loss, they’ve got a few quid and there’s so many money matches nowadays a win will come around again.
MVG I feel he will never be the same he’s won it all got 18m in the bank and the hunger is no longer there needs a long long break to bring back that hunger I feel and I really fear for MVG in the worlds whoever gets him will certainly fancy there chances 🤷
I think he lost a bit of motivation when Taylor retired, and then fairly steadily dropped off. I was hoping that Littler might get him going again but doesn't seem to be the case.
Sad to watch what Peter wright has done to himself with his switching darts. He needs to take time off and come back in 8 months or so . Just take time to heal mentally.youre always gonna be loved and a fan favorite and will always be. Sad to see getting beat up by players who aren't in his class of talent but...

His mind needs a break, and a desire to be great again or it won't happen!
This is Chisnall‘s chance now. Thought about it before the tournament, now even more. Big names are out, his way in the next rounds doable. Could be the major for Dave Chisnall finally.

His throw has too many movement parts, so when the pressure comes on, he’s always gonna break down. He can’t deal with the pressure and his arm gives up and then there’s nothing he can do
Well……. Goldfinger had something against it. Chizzy wasn’t able to hit a 16. That was a big chance, there were not the biggest names in his way up to the semifinal. R. Smith/Plaisier/Graaf/Tricole/S.Williams - that’s the easiest way to the semi in the tournament. Horrible missed chance.
In my opinion, he has long since understood that it is no longer enough. He takes everything he can and ends his career. At least from his body language it doesn't look like he's dissatisfied with himself

The great thing about Darts is , when two trebles and a double is required they go for it. In a few hours time will be watching PL football , where overpaid underskilled footballers will pass square and back , rather then take a chance on a scoring chance passing forward.
What I like about our luke he thrashed cross but still showed him respect. I'm watching humphries leading van barneveld and he is fist pumping every leg he wins and every 180 he scored. For the haters of littler who say he is arrogant you are so jealous of a 17yrold boy compare him with other dsrt players he is more respectful than most especially humphries
