      This truck wasnt made for off roading. I take it off trail and the fuse pops. Small pot holes around the city sets it off. It's a fuse under the dash.

      @@echo1er what kind of problems would the truck give you? maybe it was a different problem

      @mannyorozco7285 the key lock-out code. It would just happen randomly. Took it to the dealership ran codes nothing. So your advise from a fourm nothing. Anything below a 2010 still had Lego parts from other builds. Engine was BMW and the guts from Malibu. All from the dealerships department mouth.

    Wow! this is still a problem? I had an '04. The best advice I can give you is don't attempt to start it again until after 15 minutes. The passlock will continue to go into tamper mode and cut off fuel and everything else. Don't know if the dealer can fix it. They couldn't fix mine.

      They fixed it. It was a fuse problem at first. Then it was the key. But I got rid of the truck.

    Ladies and gentlemen I could not emphasize enough as I contacted GM and the Executive Resolution team at Chevrolet . THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE, but in reality they don’t care. Searching on line you will find that there are thousands for customers with this problem, and yet again Chevy executive team tells me - We are not interested on looking into customers complaints on line. Customers doing this game of constant reset and tricks to get their vehicles started is not the answers. My local mechanics and after constant research to solve this Pass Lock problem lead to taking my 2011 Colorado to Chevrolet in order to find a solution and after contacting Chevrolet Executive Resolution department I was told that my vehicle was being placed as a high priority to solve this problem. Well the first two days at the dealership they had no clue. A few days later I was told that the vehicle needed ignition cylinder, ignition lock housing and keys replaced. After 5 days I was told that a part defective from stock had to be reordered. Well, we are now on one week and three days and no vehicle in sight. Mind you this is at a cost of over $900.00. I realized now why the first owner got rid of the vehicle when it was sold to me by SawgrassFord as a pre-owned vehicle with this intermittent problem. By the way Chevrolet will not take responsibility to declare this issue as a recall- don’t bother. I’m sorry for the rest of you Colorado owners or other Chevy customers that are dealing with this problem. Next time I’m getting a Toyota Tacoma. Oh and if you ever need a starter changed, good luck because the manufacturer buried that unit which requires the intake manifold to be removed 😱. My best to all of you Chevy fans.

    how did you fix it the first time ?

    • @echo1er
      @echo1er  9 років тому

      carlos amaya I didn't it just started. I hit a big pot hole and the it pop a lot of fuses. I took it to the dealership and they said that the after market didn't close. After that it was my Knock sensor the fuck up.

    It took the Chevy dealer two weeks to resolve this problem. When it’s all said and done you will bet only one key which in turn can only be used to start the vehicle but not open the doors. Have to pay extra for another 🔑, really after $903.64. Stay away from this type of vehicle.

    ya anytime your truck won't start unless ita the battery or a bad connection, get it scanned by a professional scanner not one from a parts store and 99 percent of the time it will tell you exactly what's wrong

    Passlock anti theft system. Won't start for 10 minutes.

      if you pass that. How does it sound afterwards. Is there a click or no sound. Do you have an aftermarket alarm system.
      Before this all happen what kind of roads where you on?
      Did you check all the fuses under the steering.

      Did you test out the battery. Battery, alt and fuse will be the best things to check. Take out battery and take it to you local auto shop to test. Sorry for the late reply. Please reply if you have figure out the problem to share with everyone else
