For instance Tina Turner would listen back to her live concerts with a notepad, numbers running at bottom of the film she's playing, done for all kinds of production purposes, with a note pad and critique her own work, cutting out pieces she might have improvised, that scraped on her last nerves! I did v similar, I'd seen an ex boyfriend writing symbols down for his horse gambling, I liked that so much I created my own with my singing, my own personal notes. If smoking spliff lowered my voice then amen, a v happy accident and my range is wide!...I've no idea what Monica did, changed or let go of but whatever, her passion doesn't seem to be there, maybe only she can answer and or not, not if she's not bothered!

What is amazing is she was 12/13 when her first album came out. She sounds very mature and her voice is amazing. The songs were really mature too. I still have and play this cd. All the songs on her debut cd are good, well except Miss Thang. She is the most "genuine" person in the industry. She and Fantasia, they don't come across as pretentious. However, was raised well. No scandals and all ways carries herself as a lady.
