- The family told CBS 2 Investigators he shouldn't have been behind the wheel. CBS 2 discovered that the officer was arrested again for drunk driving just last month. CBS 2 Investigator Megan Hickey has the story.

There is no reason to endanger the community and drive that fast! The police need to back off of chases altogether! Find a better system because the current system is broken!
The daughter wasn’t the driver of the car and the cop didn’t receive permission from dispatch to persue the car at such high speeds per his department’s policy. 🤷♂️
Edited to add: while the daughter stayed in the car two friends went into a gas station store to buy stuff and a credit card was declined. One of them out of anger knocked over a chip display.
The cops pursued them at 96 mph in a 35 mph zone, ran red lights and drove into the opposite lanes over some damn chips getting knocked over!! 🤦♂️

It is a trend where police officers go to the bars off-duty right before a tragedy happens. and they think they are above the law. And there are times that the police will blame the other party for the accident. We wished if they had dash-cams back in our days. And there are times a few fellow officers will head to the victim's family residence to drop the case.
