Man my best day was either late April or early May here in central Virginia. I knew that it was supposed to rain eventually and I caught about 20 before it started. Right before it started I caught a 7+, called my Dad to tell him about it. It started raining and I probably caught another 30 with another 7+ and several 5+. Would’ve pushed a 30+ bag or over 100 in MLF.
Only you randy could talk me into watching adds.....in return I love your videos but talking about rain can you share your knowledge on rain gear ? I may have missed it but seems appropriate cuz that's my only chance to fish thanks in advance!!!!
Great tips, thanks! I almost always start off throwing a spinnerbait in the rain. Only thing I'll disagree on is your comment at the end that nobody likes fishing in the rain. Personally a nice steady rain is my absolute favorite time to fish. Not just that fish seem to bite better, but I also find the ambiance so peaceful listening to the raindrops tick off of leaves. Ever since I was a kid I've loved going out to fish in the rain.
Great tips I always wanted to know what kind of baits to use in the rain 🌧️ or I should say the most productive baits in the rain thanks Randy your pal fisherman Mike
Hi Randy ,thought I would say that some controversial subjects of bass death rates, during tournaments or just catch an release death rates ,many new vids discussing this subject, I commend you . Like it or not fish health is paramount .without this largemouth suffer, thanks again for striking up this conversation ,we want the same for young fishers , the future of Fishing ,
Randy...on a slightly side note about fishing in the rain ur opening comments made me think of something I would like to respectfully suggest to u, this is just my impression which could be off but I think u should include the fishing women out there with the men...mostly in language. What I mean is instead of mostly addressing "guys" if u would mention consistently "guys and gals" u may gain more support for ur channel by women fishermen. Maybe not...just strikes me as a good move for u to make...ok...I'm going to now learn about fishing in the rain tips :)
I hear ya. I kind of do the same but catch myself and try to make sure women feel welcome too (im sure they get u r welcoming them too). Thanks for replying and I appreciate U as a teacher and a good dad around ur kiddos...kick butt this weekend on the lake...be the Bass Daddy Boss! :)
Why? Megabass makes a great line of baits and they help pay his bills.. if you cant afford Megabass just replace them with a similar bait that is cheaper..
Rain rain rain !!! I'm in pa weather is terrable water was warm n up !! Was in the 60's ! Then after 5 inches of rain and night temps in the high 30's !!! Water is now low 50's cant win !!
My best technique in the rain has been a spinnerbait I don't know what it is about a spinnerbait but they will crunch it when it's raining most of the time I have to burn it I mean just under the surface of the water and they will kill it. My second favorite lure in the rain is either a crankbait or a buzzbait I've had some amazing days with a buzzbait in my hand when it's coming down and I know that goes against conventional thinking top water lures and water disturbance on the surface but it seemed to work for me on several occasions. Great video
No that’s a timely video. It’s raining today, and it’s Mother’s Day. And I’m not on the lake but this past week I was curious to what would work in the rain. Thanks for the tips
Suprised you mentioned Norman! It is an hour from me. I am about to hit another local lake today after some rain and was thinking I should be able to catch them good on a popper
@@harrisonnelson1064 I don' think that's entirely correct. I believe channel owners--or at least ones with favorable metrics--have a say in setting quantity and format of ads, if not the content. I don't know all the ins and outs, though.
Sum of my most memorable days on the water were on rainy days. Thanks for sharing Randy, 👍
We wanna see a Randy’s bass cave tour ....
He did one a few months back.
Spot on advice. Was on Table Rock Sunday in the pouring rain and most of my fish came on black/blue jigs and a black/blue creature bait.
Rain is here in bavaria good too in spring and summer..
Keep up the hard work. love the honesty and tips.
Great video
Just the video I needed👊👊👊🔥🔥
Great info Randy... thanks agaudelman n and best wishes

Yea my pb I caught in a bad storm at dark love the storms when I'm hawg hunting
I caught my on carp during a starm lol
Do fish tend to “hide” when it rains? Like on really hot days they seek shade.

I would add a crankbait
Always add a cranker.

I’ve caught my biggest bass fishing in the rain.

When I use the term guys, that’s sort of a generic term for both male and female

I know that you know what you are talking about, but when you only recommend megabass baits you lose your credibility.

I did not know that about the adds.. I will let them play for your support.
Hi Randy could you speak a bit on what kinda things you look for on a brackish tidal river on the post spawn thanks Randy....

Great content. Maybe it’s because I have UA-cam premium but I never see ads on your channel. When you say “let the ads play through” I never see any.
Thanks Randy that was very helpful..yes I will watch all ads if it helps you my Freind..love your videos
Very informative video! Thanks for sharing 👏🏼
Suprised you mentioned Norman! It is an hour from me. I am about to hit another local lake today after some rain and was thinking I should be able to catch them good on a popper
I fished Lake Norman in North Carolina, and I dare say that it has been the toughest spot that I’ve ever fished!
Hang in there bro! Haters are gonna hate. You’re doing great! I know it is easier to say than do, but do not let the negativity get you down.
Will a whopper plopper work ???? Thanks for the video!!!!!!
I’m now watching every ad-just wish I could leave some comments for them!
I've been grabbing a spook in light rain for years. I've started letting the short ads run but not the three minutes or more.
Thanks for the informative video Randy. What type of rain gear do you use?
Great video thanks 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks....Great Information
Yeah we just got 4 in here on the other side of the border from you.
Rain helps the fish grow...
Great video
Thanks bud.
Awesome tips
Caught my on day after big storm,2 ' clear water semi cloudy day in October with buzz bait
That's PB AFTER WORD "MY".
Does so much water not affect your reels? What about the boat, would it not go under water with so much rain?
Reels can be ck3eaned and oiled and most boats have bilge pumps to remove the water.
Thanks . I hate ads
I could be wrong but I don’t think he can control how many adds are in his videos

I HATE ads. They're obnoxious and disruptive so I mute and/or skip every one, and never watch them. Too many and you drive away your audience.
