Not a fan of this rumba. The body straining and pained facial expressions take away from the expressivity of their dancing and emote superficiality. The routine is too linear and one-directional imo and could use some more complexity and originality.
fickle fialka. I agree entirely. Whilst I do pay Kirill kudos for the improvement in his partnering in this latest partnership, he is prone to destroying the lady in Rumba because of the reasons you mention. He either doesn't understand or it simply isnt him but he still lacks a deep understanding of essential characteristics and subtleties of what this dance demands and is about.
Just too much... especially Valeria's facial expressions put me off a great deal. It does not look like Latin rumba dancing. Rather it looks modern style of dancing.
I don't particularly mind her facial expressions, but what bothers me more in this video is too much physical effort she seems to be putting into her dancing. I think the facial expressions are the consequence of that strain in her body. In general, as seen in other videos, they have considerably improved their dancing together. Kirill even looks now at his partner sometimes, which is a big progress. He seems to be quite happy dancing with her. I don't think he could find a better partner. Valeria understands him perfectly well and is very supportive of him whatever he does, they have a good connection.

@@chamcham212 that's exactly what I see, "working together". there's a real lack of magical emotions or connection that Victoria was bringing into the partnership. Pure beauty and grace. This is sport, i mean spoooooooort. its so mechanical and athletic, and the strained facial expressions - all this is ...tiring to watch. Its great a performance without being great dancing.
Да, там не мимика, страшные гримасы, детей только пугать. Вот в роли Бабы Яги, ведьмы ей самое то выступать. Неужели ей никто не покажет её со стороны, никто не скажет, что отталкивающе все смотрится, партнёра позорит. Или там самомнение о неотразимости до небес?
They’re working very hard that is not enjoyable anymore for the audience to watch. Just calm down and take it easy. Too much muscles!
Very good business partnership, very "working together" looking. Really wooooooorking heard. there's a real lack of magical emotion and connection that Victoria was bringing into the partnership- pure beauty, elegance, art and grace apart from great technique. Nor between them, nor each individually - just missing totally the art part. Maybe Victoria was balancing Cyril's strong dancing with her subtil movement. Valeria has the same strong dancing as Cyril and in the end it is too physical.. so mechanical and athletic. the strained facial expressions of Valeria are really off putting and tiring to watch. Its a great technical performance without really being great dancing. Lacking variety of intensity. It is a real shame cause they are both very good, they deserve more, but all this effort it is wasted in the final result.

Kirill dancing like a world champion first 40 seconds. Here he has all the qualities that is needed.
And he likes the music. It is impossible for him, being a very sensitive man, to dance to music he has not absorbed to like in his head.
He is too violent leading last part.
One big question to Valeria: why is your look so strained and painful ? Get the beautyhot Polina relaxed look. I know you can do it.
