Rachel, your giggle is so infectious. Love this one. Just wish I could download. But I am so grateful that you are showing us newbies how to design rock painting.
Rachel , I did my first rock . I bought the paints before watching your videos. Now I know how some paints are too watery. And don’t work well . I will be using them for something else . 😂 my lines are all wobbly but like you said just keep on painting and hopefully I will improve. I just love your beautiful rocks .
I enjoy your videos so much please keep them coming. They are like catching up with a friend for a little bit. Brings joy and laughter (with you of course).
Thank you for another gorgeous tutorial Rachel!!! I'm glad to hear that you and your family are doing okay during these troubling times. You are definitely a bright spot in my day, especially now!!! Your son has such a sense of wonder and fun, talking whale, LOL, too cute!!!! I am definitely going to try this one, it's so beautiful!!!! Thank you Rachel for being you, I love you!!!
It’s beautiful! I finally got luck enough to purchase one of your masterpieces on Etsy. I so look forward to holding it in my hand. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I love you two times.
Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us. Your little boy sounds so cute. You're lucky to have people with you. I'm by myself and awful lonely. You're also lucky that you have such a steady hand. Thanks!
I'm sorry your feeling alone😟 we will get through this my friend. It will get easier soon, just keep your mind active with things that make you happy. Keep painting ❤️
Lovely work as always. I am a trained and experienced artist and had started painting rocks about 10 years ago. In my former home I painted an entire village for under a maple tree. Stores, houses andcall that one would find in a village. From the Stoney Broke Bank to the Rock On music store. I dont know what was the most fun, painting or coming up with cool names for my businesses. I called the village Little Rock. I ofcourse had many little houses so there was about 35 or more painted rocks. As an artist I would like to say please people don't get offended if someone is critical of a certain painted rock. As long as comments are not nasty, I am sure Rachel will take it well. I have critical remarks made about a piece of work. Sometimes I could see for myself the person pointing out something ,was correct. It made me improve my work. Sometimes these people are wrong ofcourse. My late husband saw a oil pastel I had done of a lady. He didn't like it, but I did and entered it in a competition. It won 1st prize, and he retired from being an art critic. Later he came to love it.
Love it Rachel, thankyou so much for sharing your incredible work, I’m in awe of what you do. Stay safe and be happy , you bring a smile to my dial each and every time ...bless you .
Another beauti-colorful rock Rachel! Thanks for all your love. BTW--I found a little (7") round lazy susan/turntable that I can put under my rock and then it really turns easily.
Rachel, my daughter and I have been painting rocks and leaving them for families to find in our local parks and along walking paths. It’s our way of coping and finding some joy during all of this. I just discovered your channel and you are an amazing artist! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. You make it all look so easy! Going to try this one today. So pretty! Thank you! Stay well!
Awww it is really pretty! It does look like a little treasure box. 💜 I really wish I could get my resin as smooth as yours is. I end up with bubbles and uneven surfaces in my rocks. I followed your resin tutorial exactly too, and I don't use too much. "Soap it up like a bar of soap." I hate to waste resin! Sometimes I have to re-resin. I guess it just takes practice. I'm glad you are getting settled. I cleaned weeds out of my raised garden beds today. I have German pink tomatoes and cucumbers to plant this week. Thank you for this tutorial! I need dotting practice. 🥰
So beautiful!!!! BTW, my whole Bear Hunt Facebook group says thank you so much for the Teddy Bear Tutorial! Everyone was so excited and delighted to see it! :D HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Needed this tonight..thank you for sharing with us. You make me smile and giggle every time I watch you. Stay safe and healthy ❤️❤️❤️
Sending love n light your way Rachel, stunning vibrant colours just what the Doctor ordered... Clasped hands 👐 would be nice to see as we are all in this together representing strength... 🙏💜💜💜💜
Rachel there’s a certain period of time that I need to spend every day just “making something”. Whether that’s cooking painting sewing just making something otherwise my depression overwhelms me and I feel like I’m losing control. So thank you you have given me another outlet that is amazing that I need in this time when we’re all isolated!
Can you describe or show how you resin your rocks. Knowing how resin slides off a curved surface and leaves bumps on the underside I’m curious to know how you finish them or what you do with the resin drips that would end up on the bottom.
Rachel, I hope you see this. Some unsolicited advice if I may: hold your compass by the tip, that nubby thing at the top. That is the part you hold and it enables the compass to spin properly rather than hold it by the stem and you spinning the stone. Much easier, but that is how the compass was designed to be used. xxx
I love laugher and chat while you work..love the colors.I am still trying to perfect your steady hand with the paint brush...I still suck at it ...heh hehee
Rachel I love all your creations they’re beautiful. Wish I could get back into my painting but have been so depressed. I do have a question I noticed when you resined this stone you set it down on what looked like wax paper. Does that work?
You make such LOVELY mandalas. Are you making them from cement or plaster? If I may make a request please, when "showing" to the camera would you go slower, it moves so fast I can't really see what you've done. Also, what do you seal them with, some kind of resin? And does it leave drips on the bottom? Thank you for sharing your talent & info.
When you make your molds do you use the same mixture that they do at happy dotting company? Or do you have something else you use? I’m really thinking about trying it since I can’t ever find rocks as big as yours
I use ultracal 30 ( you can also use gypsum plaster) and mix with water using Happy dotting company UA-cam Tutorial above. I purchase mine in Quebec for those of you in Canada here is the link- www.sial-canada.com/en/ultracal-30-r1ult5
I'm so sad!! I Love Your Videos, I even bought your Northern Lights rock!! However, I finally convinced myself to buy the molds from Happy Dotting Company, only to find they are no longer available on her site!! 😢 I'm really hoping she's just or of stock and will have them again soon!! Fingers crossed anyway!! Keep painting though, I LOVE your tutorials!!😍
That was indeed the case! I was able to get in touch with her and was able to place my order...Yayyyy!! I'm excited to finally have a "perfect" surface to paint, I can't wait!! I'll be sure to share my results!! ❤
You're not going to believe this but my 7 year old grandson is in to anything ocean. He also talks whale and dolphin. They live in another state so when he calls me we have to talk whale and dolphin. By the way I loved this rock. ♥️🥰♥️
What do you use to Seal your work. I know you use Resin, it’s so gorgeous! I need a "grass like finish", no fumes! Help??? I cannot have a devoted painting room and I have some immune disorders. I love, love love your Videos. Can you help me with exercises to do fine lines. You make it look so easy. Be safe. We need you and your Giggles!
Rachel you are funny AF. You explain ever just fine and don't let anyone tell ya different.

I have two tutorials to show you how I resin and how I look after the bottoms if I use too much resin! in my list of videos🥰♥️
