you know, now it's got me curious. The Grunts follow the Elites, so why don't you have Grunt allies in Halo 3? They could have split into two factions like the rest of the Covenant--you don't get any Jackal allies either despite the expanded universe. As noted in the novel Cole Protocol there ARE neutral Jackal clans, and I'm sure that more than a few of them would've sided with the Elites.
