I think I've stumbled on your channel at the right time!! We are slowly starting homeschooling and I've been at a real loss how to organise it all without having a dedicated space, and without having too much stuff - and look, here you are ☺️
Oh how lovely, thankyou so much! Sounds like it was meant to be! I hope i've helped reassure you that you really don't need all the stuff! oh and don't forget to use your local Library!
Hi 👋🏼 I noticed you use “All About Reading” I would love to hear your take on this …. How you organised the materials… how your kids found it at different ages etc…. Pretty much your whole “All About Reading” journey! 😅😂
I just kept the supplies in a magazine holder so it was easy to pick up and move around! The created activities were stored in the folder in one of the pocket files. 🤗
I just purchased normal exercise binder books. I did have to poke holes through the covers and make my own with the math book ( I used a metal kebab skewer) but it was worth the effort! Thanks for watching!
Lovely to discover your channel from here in the U.K. :) I'm hoping to home ed and am thinking of more minimalist ways (like you) to organise our system. Thank you for sharing yours! With the completed pages, do you eventually move them elsewhere/do you have archives? Not sure if you follow the school year and start a new folder each year or do you stick to one? I have been thinking about scanning finished work/art and creating a digital book!
Hi Louise, Thank you SO much for your comment. I actually use Freely homeschool planner app (link is in the description box) and I take photos of all the work as my kids complete it and then run a report which allows me to turn it into a portfolio and send it all off at the end of the year to my local authority. Until recently they used to require the hardcopy work also, but now I think I will just file annually the most loved projects in a hanging file system. I have a sideboard I keep all my admin and paper stuff for homeschooling, I will do a tour of that soon, as it's a great way to organise the ugly stuff like our printer!
Hi! I have seen this cart for years, but only now in a new set up have I been drawn to getting one. I noticed you have something on the other side of the top shelf, did that come with it?
Oh that sounds exciting to be setting up a new space! I do have some pencil holders that sit on the edge that are also from Ikea they are the ones that work with the pegboard too. So when they aren't on the cart their home is on the pegboard! Thankyou for watching!
@@HinterlifeHomeschoolthank you for your reply. yes, we've moved house, hence the change. Aha, thank you, i havent ordered it from ikea but i will keep a look out for something like that-i think it will be handy!
This is fantastic Tiffany! I love how, organised and easy your system works xx is your cart from ikea? I’m hoping to head there tomorrow as my homeschool storage’ is terrible at the moment 😬
Thank you Joelle! Yes it is from Ikea, the lower shelves are also able to be placed at the height you want which is great! My kids find this system so easy, which has really helped them with looking after their work.
This is the most relatable video I've seen thus far. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching!

LOVE the idea of a single binder per child. And the portable nature of the cart!
Thank you! It has really simplified everything for the kids to know where everything is! Thanks so much for watching.
Agree 💯, you don’t need a homeschool room, just a space in your house like you said that’s warm and inviting is more than enough🧡
Yes! I'm so glad you agree, thank you!
Thank you for sharing the ideas. I think it's really neat and brilliant organization. Have a wonderful weekend and blessings to you 🙏💐
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you have found it helpful! Blessings to you too 🌸

Yay! So glad you found me!
Where did you get the workbooks that go into the binder? Love this idea!
I just purchased normal exercise binder books. I did have to poke holes through the covers and make my own with the math book ( I used a metal kebab skewer) but it was worth the effort! Thanks for watching!
I was wondering where you got your envelopes for the binder from? I think it’s a great idea to put small moving pieces in.
It is! I use them for puzzles also! I got these ones in a pack from officeworks. Thanks for watching!
