As a Penangite, I approve of your compilation. You very spot-on with the compilation. These are indeed some of the best CKT stalls. Far too many so called "famous" tourist trap CKT do not do justice to the real Penang CKT. I hope more tourists know about these locations.
Love watching these sifus' cooking...eventhough most of those dishes i can't eat due to the nature of the ingredients that they use like lard oil and other stuffs but at least i to appreciate their art of frying CKT...each individual has their own “kung fu” style so that's what makes it enjoyable to watch...
In the early days char koay teow was only 20 cents and you can add lor gravy to the ckt plus they have si ham too all wrapped in banana leave and newspaper. Also had ckt hawkers riding their carts around in my neighbourhood. Those were the wonderful days of bygone years. No matter what people say Penang is still a good paradise. My beloved Penang

Those day Penang's Char Koay Teow differ from other places due to the Fried method but now use Big Ingredient as selling point(like prawn, crab etc) Personal view : 炒粿條肯定会放多油,不过炒出来一定要看起来是比较干的、浅褐色才不会有油腻感。有特殊香味。可惜有一些味道找不回了。

Taking one plate of fried kuew teow has at least 450 calories n oil..i prefer add taugeh n chives to bal it..not healthy eating too often.... I only try not more than 4 times a year..

@@airrwalker the authentic ckt taste has been gone since early 2000s, I dare u can ask any real penangites that either those great ones are either retired or the current existing ones have long changed of taste than before
@@sheenoreiki7843 Fully agree with you, currently only few stalls serve authentic ckt. Most of the stalls in Penang prepared ckt without essential ingredients, such as cockles and kuchai, and instead use poot substitutes such as fish cake, fish ball or lap cheong which spoil the taste of ckt.

是的,遇到料齐味足的档,一定要常光顾。有些没有腊肠/siham,甚至不放虾子,好过去抢。
