When mounting after using the rear pto for other operations, It also helps to position the PTO lever so the autoconnect shaft is not engaged and can rotate freely.
This helped so much. I was stumped for a couple hours. This video is so informative and helpful. Thank you. My boss will be stoked i can finally mow now. Thanks again sir.
This really helped. The only thing different on my 1025 is I have 2 independent release brackets on either side underneath that I have to flip up separately, once I realized that it went smoothly on and off.
Thanks! I understand that John Deere has made some changes to the deck and how it mounts since I made this video, so newer models may not be the same as mine.
Hmmm, I haven't heard of that problem before. Can't say I have any ideas right off hand. You might try asking and posting some pics at GreenTractorTalk.com in the section for SCUTS. Sounds like the latches aren't swinging down far enough to over come the spring tension.
Hi and thanks for the comment. Yeah, I'm Jimmylh over at Green Tractor Talk forum. Congrats on your new tractor! I don't have much content to show but I like to be helpful to others if I can. I know I've learned a lot from youtube. It's a whole world of How to Books. lol.
Thanks for making this video. My rear flipper latch (or whatever it is called) is VERY hard to move and I have a devil of a time getting the mower off the tractor. Getting it on is no problem. Are both of those thing caused by those front adjustment nuts? Or do I have more than one thing going on? Its driving me nuts.
Sounds like it could need some adjustments. Defiantly check the front adjustment. When the deck is lowered and resting on the ground, check for an 1/8 in gap at the front on both sides as I show in the video. Are you using an anti skid mat? I found that kept my deck from going low enough to release the lever. Check the air in your tires. If the deck was set up with max air and now you have low air, that will actually affect the adjustments.
Great video. We were able to remove the mower deck but when we went to reinstall the deck won’t raise and lower. The lower 2 levers snapped in place but the deck won’t raise. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi. Sorry to hear about your trouble. First thing I would check is your hydraulics. Assuming you have the standard lift system, check to see if the 3 point arms are moving at the back of the tractor. If they are moving then the deck should be moving unless the linkage has broken to the deck. There are many other causes also. Some are: the power beyond hoses not connected if you have a backhoe. The 3 point rate of drop valve being fully closed. Other problems would depend if you have an optional lift system such as the independent hydraulic lift. If you need more help you can join the GreenTractorTalk.com forum to get great help figuring out the solution. It's a lot easier to trouble shoot there than here. Good luck.
Also, make sure you put the deck height control knob in the install position and look under the tractor and confirm your mid pto shaft has mated with the deck. If not, the pto could jam up when trying to lift the deck.
Glad to help if I can. Are you saying it becomes disconnected by itself? If so, something either needs adjusting, is bent or a retainer clip has fallen off a linkage. If I may make a suggestion. UA-cam comments is not the ideal place to help trouble shoot a problem. If you join the tractor forum, GreenTractorTalk and post your problem in the SCUT section, myself and many smart folks will be glad to help you figure out what's wrong. That way you can post a picture or video and we can see exactly what's going on. Hope to see you there. Thanks very clear for me a newbie on the proper adjustment and proper removal and reinstall 😊

Thanks for your video. My latches will release by hand but they won’t stay open due to the spring pulling it back closed. Have any ideas?

Thank you, I have seen you on the tractor forums, I'm a lurker. Just got my 1025r delivered yesterday. The deck goes on and off very well.

Thanks for the video. Did an adjustment you suggested at front and everything is working great.
Glad it helped!
thank you you have helped me so much
Thank you sir. Deere has made some changes to the newer 54 inch decks since I made this video, so some details might be out of date now.
Enjoyed the video
Thanks! Some of the info is out of date now since they have made some changes on the newer models.
